@tjrtherocksponge As for better musicians, performers, there are plenty, I can tell you are a prog rock addict, and I love it, that means you have great taste in music. I agree Gilmour is a great musician, his solo albums are great, I also believe the higher points in the Floyd albums are provided by his compositions almost every time. I think Pink Floyd (just like Led Zep) sounds like Pink Floyd and nothing gets even close to that, but as more of a Hard Rock fan, I think Zepp is the best. Bye

To say ridiculous stuff like: Pink Floyd will always be with Waters is like saying that the Beatles will always be with McCartney. It takes at least two to tango. Pink Floyd isn't truly Floyd without Waters, but it really aint Floyd without Gilmour either.

@TheGreatSam1992 I really can't agree with that. Jimmy page has, if i may say, by himself written many songs that's better than many pink floyd songs. Pink floyd and Zeppelin are my two favourite bands, they're good in different ways. But actually i have to say that all of the members in Zeppelin is better musicians than PF in their own instrument, but musically they're quite even. Pink floyd play more melodic music, and has the best sound in the buissnes...

1- u cant say that gilmour isnt faster than Jp because of his compositions, in the solo of another brick in the wall when he bends he hits like 2838 notes in a round before bending..it was so fast that i never noticed until my teacher showed me , it is his style , a . Both guitarrist are my fav guitarrist players and i like more Jp but anyways u can't say who is better or not when they are both 2 legendary guitar players

But Page is the better musician, BY FAR... he wrote almost every Zeppelin song, you're talking Kashmir, The Ocean, Achiles Last Stand, For Your Life, Rock and Roll, Four Sticks, Heartbreaker... play his song, forget the solos... Gimour wrote like 5 songs after Dark Side... Creativity was Page's best card to play.

@TheGreatSam1992 Noboby can beat Jimmy Page except the other Jimi and maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan. Don't be stupid. Gilmour is an amazing guitarist but Jimmy Page seems more creative live when he does improvizations and Led Zeppelin as a whole seems to work more like a team slightly more than Pink Floyd does. However, both are in the league of greatest bands of all time no matter how you slice it.

Gilmour is one of my favourite guitarists and yeah without Waters we wouldn't have pink floyd but don't you guys forget Sid Barrett, anyway for someone to bash jimi page is wrong...because he was a great guitarist, the king of riffs....and also led zeppelin were a great band just like Pink Floyd WERE a great band...since Waters left they haven't been the same just like Led without John Bonham..period..stop arguing and enjoy this masterpiece.

But I have to agree, very reluctantly. However, his solo stuff is excellent -- not like Pink Floyd, but it is very, very good.
