I heard this on CBC radio at 6:30 this morning. What a way to start a Friday morning! CBC=Canadian Broadcasting Corp., our public broadcaster. And my neighbour's son is named after Django. Nice!
Tune was written by Victor Young, first published and recorded in Chicago around 1928 or so. Isn't this a recording of the guys with Teddy Hill's Orch in Paris? I've seen reference to this recording.
Loana, you know what year it was recorded? I`ve just uploaded another version of this song, recorded in 1935. The biggest diffrence is that "my" version has vocals included. Great share!

I wish I met that Sue girl :D
She must have been a beautiful woman when this king of poetry was written for her.
