  • I like that the survival guide is made of paper, seems like it would get destroyed rather quickly in a survival situation.

  • a big pile of bull...

  • Its a "pretty boy knife" for Pretty outdoor activities. If I need something to Trust my life on IDC about it looking pretty, Im getn a KABAR everyday all day..And this duchey knife can go in my wifes bag lol.

  • Does Grylls have a model with a built in reservior to store piss just in case he has to drink it later?

  • Hmmmm Bear doesn't seem to mention that he actually uses a much different survival knife on his show...... :/

  • Trust me, I'm Bear Grylls.

  • just bought for 60 bucks seems a bargain

  • id use the sheath but not the knife

  • i love this man

  • crap

  • one day of cadets with the knife the blade chiped...

  • All of those items are a joke. Nothing but a sell out. These things break on first use. Bear should be ashamed about doing this promotion, hell he should be ashamed for his crappy TV show. He is a fake and this line of product is garbage. Dont think so? Do some research.

  • I would have brought that 1 knife if the handle was black

  • Bs knife, it broke at emergensy klimbing when it was used to stand on the handel in middel off a high climb shaft losend from the tang just sliped off the knifesteel was intact but it ende up losing the grip...Nowe the better knife is from fallkniven A1/ and F1... Dont bye this one!

  • gerber usually makes good multi tools but got to say that one looks dodgey

  • Bullshit is saw time using all the times military knife..

If you was in the army you got a present..

  • Too bad he fell for the money instead of the nature.

  • the first time going in the wilderness it broke

  • @WTFonlinegamer Shoddy knife then; I have to say that in your situation would've been one heck of crash course in creating a stone or wooden knife.

  • Lol bought an ESEE, know it will be good the rest of my life

  • i jjust picked up the ultimate knife $64 and survival kit for $50

  • it cracks me up how he claims they all worked together so hard to design the knife but its just a slightly modified LMF.....

  • @MrNapalm138 different then the LMF

  • @gunnerrun13 Apples and apples hahaha But I just checked out your channel and watched your last two vids and this is the first I heard of this stuff I havent been on as much lately.I subbed you so Ill be on there until u decide what to do w your channel.I may very well delete mine too if they go through with that and wash my hands of youtube. This issue needs to be brought to every ones attention! I wont put up with them invading my privacy!

  • at 5:o2 the tools fall out when he taps the handle..... peice of shit

  • I am Bear Grylls! Lord of the flame!

  • Comment removed

  • Ok im gona buy this

  • he sheathed the parang in the wrong direction

  • hey , i like the design of the survival tools . and i don't know if u can get it in titanium . i would recommend titanium as the new material for knives and such , stronger and lighter than steel. it would be a minor for the parang becouse it is lighter , but u can ad material to make it bulkier and heavier. i'm saying this becouse i'm a diver . i've seen alot of stainless that rust , even those with protective layer , it just wears out when used alot ,and comes off allowing the steel to rust .

  • Haha, I want the first 2 knvies and that machete. Already got a quite usefull multi-tool.

  • just seems tacky imo

  • bravo BEAR !

  • @teeroy779 no it wil not blend because its bear grylls duty instead of heavy duty:D

  • Comment removed

  • But will it blend?

  • @Teeroy779 oh I think shit always blends... xD

  • @mdogchilling24 yeah there is you slide it under the orange thing in the back of the sheith

  • i bought the first knife shown and i love it it is a fantastic knife the only thing i dont like is that there is no spot to put the survival guide. 10 out of 10

  • "All my advise on how to survival..."

*fits on a double sided page*

    clearly you are the expert

  • @DarkPretorian hahaha that was hialrious but i love him

  • @DarkPretorian while he may be a sellout in regards to his branded knife range to be completely honest he is a survival master love him or hate him. Ex-SAS and ex-chief scout is nothing to be laughed at

  • @esspro I hate to admit it but you are right. Just wish he would follow his own advice, too many shows where he does things the quick way rather than the safe way. He has the capacity to be great but entertainment industry changed him.

  • I had 13 of those knifes on me at all times UNTIL one day a policeman pulled me over trying to light a survival fire at night time and gave me a $1000 fine OMG and he took all my Bear Grylls knifes!!!

  • @96Boaz

where are you come from??? :)

  • hey bearl, check this out /watch?v=9G_w-zSR5d0 and do not sell this shit in poland...

  • look, its the guy from lazy town

    xD

  • I got the knife for Christmas every thing worked well except for the sheath there was a life metal in it ever time I pulled it out it would takeoff the blade

  • Seems good. Ppl stop hating its bear grylls for fuck sake!

  • Gotta love them grippy handles.

  • Also should have mentioned though that I bought everything in this video except the machete's and small folder to field test it .. The knife would get you out of a jam but doesn't stand up to any heavy usage. The multitool doesn't last very long (cheap steel, same as the knife) and the ferro rod works as good as any other

  • Becker bk2 , zt 0350 , Leatherman wave , ferro rod ,

Superior quality and superior steel in everything aside from ferro rod ... I see very little difference in brands of ferro rods/ firesteels ... Correct me if im wrong on the ferro rods

  • For people making bs about these tools, i say buy it and test it out... Don't just read comments and repost... As for bear grill being a fake... "GOD" he was in special force and have provide instructions and survival training in SAS... The TV show is a TV show.. Means he is trying to teach you survival knowledge if ever your stuck in the wild... He's not trying to survive it... He's implying you knowledge...

  • wow amazing first invention

  • Men vs Wild with Jake Gyllenhaal part

  • I bought the $50 survival knife. Skinned one deer, blade chipped. :/

  • @DiabolicalDylan not meant to be a deer skinning knife

  • @williamED15 It's a 'survival knife.' I'd be out of luck if that happened while lost in the wilderness..

  • @DiabolicalDylan yea but the chances of you needing to do that are slim to none not to mention your only ruining good meat by "testing" your knife on it. And how it chip? low cost metal bends but snapping off seems a little odd

  • @DiabolicalDylan did you forget to drink your urine?

  • @DiabolicalDylan

I bought the same knife. It has gotten me through hell and back, and even now it is completely functional. The wear and tear is barely noticeable, which came as a surprise because my other knives usually chipped after a short while. You probably got the shitty one from the batch :/

  • @DiabolicalDylan Its by no means a skinner....

  • @DiabolicalDylan steel < deer fur lolk

  • @DiabolicalDylan its no skinning knife!!!

  • to create spraks and make your rubberised handel melt xD

  • lol - stick to the tv m8

  • As an eagle scout I have ran through a lot of pocket knives and I must say I like how all of his work. You don't realize it but little things like the "locking mechanism" on the pocket knife and the fact that you can access on the functions of the multi-tool without opening it is awesome. I realize he didn't invent these ideas, but the fact that they have it really sells them to me.

  • People just kinda copy the bullshit from others without knowing the real facts about the knife. I bought mine yesterday evening and it's just fine (to say the least). Don't listen to others, look it up and research yourself.

  • @malslimbo You bought it yesterday.... try field testing it before you post things. Cheap ass steel, terrible handles. They are cheap.

  • @tested004 Oh fark off and go bug someone else no- one wants to read your contradicting comments.

  • Why is everyone taking so much shit? If you guys like les stroud more fine! Don't be dicks. Damn

  • The chief of British scouts is marketing locking folding knives that are over 3 inches long for British scouts.

And they're illegal to take out of your home in Britain.

    I don't get it.

  • @Smith28Adventure Used for camping ok, not for going into town on a friday night.

  • This guy is the Britney Spears of survival shows. Pushing his shit line of "survial" equipment like cheap parfume. Les Stroud is the man. NO CREW. NO shit knives. More often than not he has NOTHING with him other than the clothes on his back. He actually shows how god damn hard it is to survive, often having to leave the area because its too harsh. Plus he caries around his own cameras. Bear Fagus isnt fit to lick the clingons from Les's ass crack. Fuck Bear Grylls.

  • @tested004 Try watching les stroud mate, have just watched a donkey carrying his stuff-has a camera crew too so be smart and be quiet

  • @mumblejunkie Sometimes*** my apologies "mate". I should've specified. It is twice as difficult to try to survive in certain conditions than in others while trying to film your own show. Never seen a donkey... But sometimes his "scenarios" call for certain things. Like his plane crash having fuel in its tank to help with fire lighting. Or his dog sled team having meat he eventually had to eat.

  • @tested004 To me it's entertainment, i can sit in a comfy chair watching these guys go through hell. I still enjoy the great outdoors and am near 40. It's upsetting to hear about cheap made stuff as with everything-i wanted the knife myself but have been put off....the price in uk is 56 quid and for something that cannot take the abuse bear gives out i want what he is using not some cheap made rubbish. Bear if you are listening kick gerbers butt and sort it out.

  • i call bullshit on the multitools having useless implements because this multi tool he's bragging up has the same damn tools any other mutli tool has. at least as far as the main multi tool manufacturers are concerned i.e. victorinox ,SOG, leatherman, and gerber.

  • @prometheus19799791 it is FROM gerber...dick..

  • @Shobikz hey fucktard. did you actually watch the goddamn video? think before you type once in a while and you might pass for intelligent.

  • @Shobikz at 4:28 he starts talking about why he has always cursed multitools "because they always have features that are pretty useless." duh dipshit. now read my comment and try to absorb what it's saying. p.s. it's in english.

  • Gimme

  • Why take advice from a phony like him?

  • @blackandgold978 what's phoney about him?

  • @aliwhitwell The fact that for YEARS on his survival show, he was out there with a full-blown crew, often going in to stay in hotels for the night after shooting was done for the day. Survivorman (Les Stroud) was the real deal. Bear is a phoney-baloney......

  • @blackandgold978 Hardly makes him a phoney! He was after all an SAS survival instructor and has proved his survival skills on many occasions. When making a documentary for tv of course he is going to stay in hotels. Would be a bit stupid not to.

  • Its not a bad knife at all. It really does have all the essential bases covered. Fit and finish is as good as any other fixed blade. Looking past the obnoxious BG insignia, the biggest gripe is that the grind isnt optimal. Also, be sure to get the plain edge version.

  • @fartx211 you can always change the grind if you know how to sharpen.

  • too bad he teamed up with Gerber instead of a half decent knife maker....

  • pls chek this item

  • I don't need a knife...I play Minecraft, I can destroy trees with my bare hands! =D

    this man is awesome!

  • @ChrisRyot Respect. (Insert bro-fist here.)

  • lots off respect to you bear ;-)

  • NOT MADE IN CHINA... i hope...

  • this guy is awesome

  • the only thing i dont like is the serated part of the blade

  • @qpae123 Dude I know that it's just that most websites accept dollers

  • Fucking shit audio.

  • The parang is really good choper. U can cut a small tree in less then a minute, wach my last video:)

  • the guy from 127 hours could have used that ^^

  • the sound on this video is awful.

  • hey i live in the UK and i want to know where i can buy one of these tools.

  • @xPr0Techz There's a website for it i think you can, order it

  • @xPr0Techz Internet? Oo

  • Why do you guys hate on these knifes? I have one myself and they are very nice. They are sharp and don't rattle. Very strong and sturdy. They don't "Suck" they are very good survival knives. I always have mine on me. You don't know when you need it. You can probably buy a better knife but common no hate please.

  • @ChimaeraZone For the price of this gerber you must be aware because this knife should not be your main knife. My favorite from gerber is the Gerber Silver Trident. BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT BEAR GRYLLS CHANGE HIS GERBER EVERY EPISODES. THE BEST KNIFE HE'D USE WAS THE BAYLEY S4 AND HE DIDN'T CHANGE IT EVERY DAY!!!

  • @nicolaslee141 I didn't say anything about him using it.I have it on me when I go to get my groceries. When I am out in the wild or when I am hunting. I use my LMF ll Which is a very excellent knife.

  • @ChimaeraZone Yes we're agree the lmf 2 is a great knife.

  • @ChimaeraZone I don't prefer the colors of the knife, but being made from Carbon Steel it is a great knife. People can say what they want, but Bear is the real deal!

  • Gerber will never recover from this.

  • so where can i buy this stuff at?

  • this is what i belive is the ultimate knife just so happens to have my name on it

  • Bear Grylls FTW!

  • I know what I want for christmas! :P

  • 2:51

  • I like that wrist watch that his wearing . which one is it ?

  • your a poof bear

  • i would get one but it has that hideous orange that i can't get over.

  • There's clean, fresh water nearby, but it is getting brighter outside, and no bears or moose will be around to kill me, better drink my own piss, and wait for a hamburger fish to fly by, and if i can shoot it with the cameraman's minigun, i might be able to get water from the small 100 ton fish, then I'm going to go to the river, and drink my piss again.

  • his whole tool line up is bad value- and sells nothing more then cheap branded hype. all of his tools have cost equivalents in their class that perform far better. this is nothing more then exploiting the hype- and in a real survival situation these tools would most likely fail due to teh designa nd material compromises made to optimise profits. Look at Fallknives laminated steel blades for survival knife , a leatherman wave for multitool or anything made form 1095 steel for machete or knife.

  • @exotime

I have tried out all the Bear Gryll stuff (boss wanted to know if we should sell it in our shop), and of all the stuff there, only the Parang (machete) and the Firestarter didn't feel over priced.

It will all work, but have all sorts of silly stuff added to them.

But the Parang (machete) and the Firestarter are both down to earth.

  • this is nothing more then a cheaper version of a Gerber LMF II. This knife has been shown to be weaker then the LMF. For bushcraft serrations are subprime- a plain edge is versatile. Serrationsare most useful in Search and Rescue or tactical capability- like the LMF was designed to do as its a pilots vehicle egress knife. Bear has soldout and dropped his custom knife maker who made a real survival knife. if you need a truly ultimate survival blade look at the laminated steel Fallknivens f1, s1.

  • i love the scout knife but the problem i have with it is that it has a locking blade so you cant use it as a ukpk

  • Looks like some good products.. Some great extras with the survival knife. Haven't decided whether to get that or the SOG Seal pup elite though but they both look excellent.

  • I like Bear Grylls and his Gerber line. I love his parang, his fire starter, and his survival knife (and yes I know it's a Gerber Prodigy but the extras are very nice). But, just my opinion, I would rather see the survival pouches in a tin. And his multi tool is just a Gerber Suspension with a rubber coated grip, hardly worth double the price. But still, excellent products for the most part.

  • fucking haters this man brought more people to bushcraft than boyscouts

  • @jefferson1232757 Understand what your saying but what he does is for entertainment , not always good advice. Loads of the things he does on his shows would be frowned on by the UK Special Forces .

  • @cwb24433614 Yeah I know, but still you can learn the basics and some new stuff, but I dont like the show, I only think Bear Grylls is a nice person and dont deserves those hatings

  • @jefferson1232757

Check out 'Bushtuckerman', Les Hiddins didn't try to set himself up as a marketing machine, just lots of smart advice and decent bushfood from the harshest of environments. You take the waterfall, I'll make plans and take my time.

  • @jefferson1232757 and made them destroying the environment? hmm...

  • @KraetiverName I really didnt understand the comment never see bear grylls destroying the enviroment he just show what he can do in a survival show.

If i get lost in the wilderness i should think first that I'm destroying the enviroment?

  • I used Grippy Handles,But Then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • A bit late, but Dear Santa...

  • dude stays in hotels between scenes on his shows.............fuck the cheap chinese made shit hes peddling to people who don't know any better.......

  • @agricola I guess you are the kind of idiot that has no idea just how good gerber knives are. as for him staying in hotels, do you really expect him to risk his life just to get a few extra people to watch his show? he shows you how to survive in a life or death situation, this does not mean that to do so he must put his own life in danger.

maybe you should try it yourself if you think what he does is so easy.

  • the thing about the knives in this video I don't like is the serrations on the edge, they just get in the way to much. Also, If I were to get on of these to use in my scout troop, heck, I'd stick with the fixed blade, It isn't large and there are NO official rules against sheath knives at all, knife rules are ultimately down to the troop itself. Stinks for you if your troop doesn't allow sheath knives; they are really useful.

  • I just use my SOG Survival knife . It's so good,that i don't need anything else

  • a ontario pilot survival knife is 10 times better

  • the lanyard is definatly shorter than the one he has

  • very nice survival tool kit

  • @ST6SDVT your calling an ex SAS officer a fag?

  • this guy is such a douche bag...Like his show; the only thing he does is crawling through the jungle and eating disgusting creatures. I say: ray mears and Les trout.

  • @luuko656 your calling an ex SAS officer a douche bag?

  • I want all of these knifes for Christmas

  • This fool dont know nothing about knives!!!

  • @devilrobrob ....Your joking ay?

  • @devilrobrob he was in the SAS

  • More lame tools for the informed sheep. Folks… Hello… he is a Television Actor…. Not a real woodsmen. He is selling you over priced Junk.

  • @TheCaneArtist

nah..hes not supposed to be real...he does a good job showing HOW to survive, if u get into a bad situation.. But it is true, that u can find better knife, but for a higher price..

  • @TheCaneArtist actually he is a real woodsmen as he has made loads of show about surviving in different environments and was an ex SAS officer

  • But can it cut a drunk chicks pants off without it getting traced back to you

  • He's a survival expert, he should know that having a half straight half serrated blade isn't a good idea...

  • @HBomb505 Maybe you don't know what the f*** your talking about !

  • Every knife is a good survival knife as long as you use it as intended and feel comfortable using it...

  • The knife makes sparks, better drink my own piss.

  • @arghydoodles I hope you drown in your own piss.

    loser.

  • @pauleybezzer999 You're an idiot, son.

  • @arghydoodles I would like to see a video of you drinking your own piss.

he does far more than that you know.

  • @pauleybezzer999 You get angry over a joke, nigga.

  • @arghydoodles I am white, idiot.

  • @pauleybezzer999 DO I CARE HUEUUHAUEHAE

  • Got this the other day. Very solid knife.

  • Comment removed

  • gonna stay in your hand XD

  • ..WHISTLE, DILDO AND A BOOK

I prefere flint - soon he'll be carying a gas bottle, cooker and kitchen robot as a nesesity to survive.. you don't do survival if you got nothing left to survive with but your hands and what you'd found what is basic not a contraption like that, you also read world sides by the sun, moon and stars

  • ya tienes el cuchillo el pedernal pero te hace falta sacar la cantimplora con la taza bear para acompletar el kit de supervivencia

  • Both BG Folders are prone to splitting on the back section of the knife, where the handle pieces are sonically welded to the midpoint.

  • arrow to the knee better drink my own piss
