I can see the advantages of this setup for road rejuvenation and so forth, the weak link in the operation for me is the castor wheel setup on the grader, with no wheel lean the tractor is working harder than it should and makes me wonder why the real thing isn't used instead. Too bad a proper steering assembly that works in concert with the tractors steering couldn't be found. Great little fleet of equipment though.
@woofybigj i wouldnt be surprised if sooner or later, the bolts that connect engine and transmission break loose. It has happened with side mounted packers as well.
It would be better to turn it around, put the vibratory compactor on the front, and have the rigid rear axle deal with the lateral grader forces.
...either that, or get a GHA 395 toolcarrier, extend the central tube frame and mount the grader underneath it. Then you still have a PTO to run that compactor.
