  • what are the names of the guys playing with him onstage?

  • @jamieamartini At his left, Robbie McIntosh = ex-Pretenders lead.

  • Comment removed

  • @usergently If you mean the guy on Paul's left, that's Hamish Stuart, formerly of the Average White Band.

  • Good song

  • I finally found this song! I have had this song in my head for months but didn't know the title. It's like finally getting that piece of popcorn kernel out of your gums where it has been stuck for days. lol

  • @nododon hahahahahahaha so truueeee

  • Espetacular!

  • aaaaaaahhh! :D

  • The king of melody...........

  • Incredibly beautiful version of the song

  • I love you so much Paul............. The memories of my childhood, and to this day, you make me so happy.......... Life is so tuff, cut listening to these songs, makes me feel so much better.. Thank you.....

  • I like Paul with his gray hair is more beautiful than ever

  • In the words of Bruce Almighty, B-E-A-UUUTIFUL

  • Simplesmente FANTÁSTICO.

  • Paul always writes classics, and plays with the best of friends!

  • one of the best songs he ever wrote...and a great version...check out the cover version by...Phoebe Snow...shows how you can cover a song..and make it your own.

  • @lennydylan Yes, I love both Paul's original, of course, but also Phoebe's cover version as well. The music world, & we fans, lost a great talent when we lost Phoebe earlier this year. Glad I saw her, again, after many years, before she was incapacitated, she was as phenomenal as I'd remembered her from the 70s & 80s.

  • Love, Love, Love this.

  • Wrote this one for his mother... !

    (never mind, but be aware)

  • I remember watcing this on TV in 1991 and it just blew me away. His best performance from this set, by far.

  • wow, i think paul in the 90s was unstoppable (ie fantastic!) and then linda's death was just so sad.

  • its good

  • Beautiful...

  • Great Song, so much heart-thanks for sharing

  • MELLSBAD: Well spotted aye, it's Robbie McIntosh. He's one of the best session guitarists in the business. Credits include Rod Stewart / Eric Clapton / Joe Cocker / Mark Knopfler / Annie Lennox & Carl Perkins. After 5 years with McCartney, Robbie stepped out in his own right with the album “Emotional bends”, and has followed that up with the magnificent “Widescreen” album with guests Chrissie Hynde and Paul Young and an acoustic effort, “Unsung”. Should be Scottish wi that name, but alas no.

  • @brucecow Let's not forget John Mayer's live CD/DVD....."Into the Light" (or whatever it was called.) Robbie McIntosh was (and is) a part of Mayer's live band. Say what you want about John Mayer.....he knows talent. Which is why Robbie is a part of his band. Mayer could learn a thing or two from Robbie.....

  • Is the guitarist on Paul's right from the pretenders?

  • i would have love to see a johh lennon unplugged

  • Unplugged was better when it was artists like Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart. Established artists who didn't need introductions or promos like today, just played their songs, had a little fun. Even the LL Cool J one was pretty interesting. Now, Katy Perry? Lily Allen? Give me a break.

The really, really cool thing is that this is one of the few Unplugged ones that were really unplugged (note how there's a mic at guitar level for each of them). So they had to stand REEEALLLY STILL. :)

  • beautiful version of this song......love the harmonies.......I wish Hamish Stuart was still in Paul's band, he has a fantastic voice. thanks for posting this!!!

  • @MsJune54 mee too like i love his new band but he interacted more with this band...and ofcourse linda

  • This guy is a genius!

  • Everytime I Hear That Song my heart stop beating....

  • I agree with grim107

  • This is the best version of the song ever recorded (even better than the studio version).

  • Paul's hair is awesome. I liked it so much, it was my haircut for my enire senior year in high school.

  • Beautiful song Paul, but please stop with the hair tosses. Gracious, get the guy a mirror for crying out loud and get over it.

  • O Yes, it's Hamish Stuart

  • what is the name of the men whit the bass

  • I believe it's Hamish Stuart.

  • what age paul was in that video¿?

  • Paul would have been 49 in this video

  • I love this dang songy too!!! :):)

  • We only need Paul and a drummer for this one. Sorry.

  • Great!!

    I love this song.

How do you like our version??

    :)

  • I LOVE this show so much...so many memories of watching this over and over on my VHS tape.
