  • goosebumps!

  • Trenton and Princeton are sometimes considered twinned victories, like a double jab attack in a boxing match. The first and then the second, small, quick, and stinging. They also established the overall battle strategy for the Continentials for the rest of the war. Hit the low hanging fruit, take what you can from the victories, weaken the enemy as much as you could, if only a little scratch, and then move out and find safe ground.

  • I think people remember Trenton more than Princeton because it was a more desperate & daring. Washington not only had to surprise the Hessian & keep them unaware, but he had to cross an entire army of exhausted troops, plus horses and cannon, within a single night, and then march a few miles back south to Trenton. Imagine how long & tiring it would be to place one of those cannons in a boat, make sure it doesn't capsize, nail it down, row it across, & get it off on shore, & then get back.

  • The only thing that sucked about this movie, and like lots of other modern American films, is that there are always so many non Americans playing the roles of American heroes. Look at all the foreigners in Blackhawk Down. Look at The Patriot. the two main characters, Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger arent even from the US. They are both Austrailians.

For another genre, the new Batman movies are played by a limey. Not that I realy care but can we at least have Americans actors for American heroes.

  • Rented it at the local librairy and could'nt belive it was such a good film really gives you a sense of what it might have been like.

  • Who played Alexander? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME! He was SO cute!

  • This movie rocks. Could someone post the whole film?

  • I watched this movie in history class and, let me tell ya, alexander hamilton never looked so sexy! he was to one who got me through the movie. lol. have you noticed that throughout the entire movie he is panting like everytime you see him. it's like, wat r u doing to make you pant all da time? not that im complaining. lol.

  • omg! when me and my friend saw the movie, we were like "OMG! THERE HE IS!" that's what got us going too

  • Oh. My. Gosh. I know! And he rides a horse! ;]

  • my favorite scene is when Alevander Hamilton and The other guy break in to the guard house!! lol

  • We watched this today in Military History, I love that class! All we do is watch war movies and future weapons clips.

  • we just finished watching this at school too hale middle school.

  • We just finished watching this in school. Very interesting movie.

  • Both you and mahoneyjanet are observing this great video in a school, that is very good. I, over time, was beginning to become rather fearful that our own nation would be portrayed as evil and corrupt in all time periods, not just in the media but in our schools as well. I'm very happy yall are watching such films on our nation's history!

  • we just finsih watchin this at school also hale middle school.

  • ya same here

  • I am a teaching assistant in a 10th grade history class and this is where we stopped the CD to be continued on Monday. Funny how we view things as boring when we are in school but later in life, they are very interesting. Can't wait to see the conclusion. Thanks

  • Cool, I hope yoru students enjoyed it as well!

  • Great Movie!...people forget how brutal the revolutionary war was, and how brave our founding fathers were...we must not forget their courage...hope someone can put the entire movie on youtube...Thanks!

  • damn right.

  • The movie was good but Jeff Daniels was too young to play Washington. I think David Morse's portrayal in the recent John Adams HBO miniseries was more realistic.

  • Interesting, I think I need to go check out the Adams miniseries!

  • Too young? Are you kidding? GW was in his

40's when he faught and won the War of Independance. Very close in age to Daniels.

  • He wasn't too young, they are roughly the same age. Washington was in his mid to late 40s, just as Daniels is. I think Daniel's portrayals allows us to see the human side of Washington, but Morse' portrayal was pretty sharp, also.

  • is that a scissor in the backgroundsound? :P

  • lmao haha would be funny if i could have done that... but nah it was the stupid recording software i was using (fraps).

  • I agree! Jeff Daniels is so good in this role. Is there any way that this whole movie could be posted?

  • Not sure about the whole of it being posted, I know I certainly don't have the ability sadly :(

  • how about just the rest of battle then?

  • ya reallyyyy would not want me doing that, my lousy software would mess it up.

  • I really liked this movie. I watched it so many times I could practically recite it word for word. :-) Thanks for posting!

  • wer did you see it did you see it in a web sit if you did can i get it please
