  • thumbs up ife mega64 brought u here

  • @kingcrabbster12 wrong gamelife.

  • Or you could fix the same problem for the cost of a paper clip...

  • do ntsc pins work on pal nes?

  • So I bought I new pin conector and still it does not work, I still have a flashing black to white screen Please tell me there is something I can do to fix this bitch up!?

  • All you have to do is wigggle it in the system and when you see the screen is working just reset

  • That's a neat black shirt that guy has on.

  • Or you can just blow into it, that fix's everything

  • @xGothimox BLOW?!?

  • I've seen a dozen of these "Fix your broken NES" videos that tell how to replace the 72 pin connector here on YouTube and for some reason they aren't getting old for me yet. But I have to say, this is by far the best one. Better quality video than most (a tutorial of something like this is better when you can actually see the finer details), less yammering bullshit that we don't care about (less boring, more to the point), and a bit more professional and informative than most others.

  • the old ps3 XD rolf

  • 72 pins r like 8 bucks. whered u get it 4 a dollar?

  • that mustve been b4 sellers figured out how usefull the connectors were

  • they went up in price

  • Comment removed

  • or they could actually clean the points where the 72 pin connecter contacts the board and take a flat head screwdriver and put the pins back in place while cleaning them

  • Ok, i wont!

  • My GOD! I wish people would stop these F***ING!!! chain messages

  • Comment removed

  • :O oh no! I better go repost this or some mysterious forces will magically kill me in a random auto accident!

  • aw m an, CMON STOP TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE!!! go scare you're girlfriend if you have one!

(these chain messages are pissing me off)

  • i doubt you can find a new 72 pin for "a dollar or two". usually they are atleast $7.

  • It's NES not N E S (one word not letters )

  • Its Nintendo Entertainment System

    The Shortening is N E S

The usuall pronouncination for NES is [NESS] Try saying [Néés] Thats the correct for it.

  • I Have to change my 72 pins connector ASAP

  • Can also take it out and move the pins up to give it a connection again

  • yes, also use a credit card and 220-800 grit sandpaper (wrap the sandpaper around the card) to clean the contacts, slide the card in and out like a game and bend the pins and sell it on ebay as a *new* conecctor

  • now why give trade secrets?

  • so people dont get ripped of

  • u can fix your nes without buying a nes pin connector ive done it with almost 6 nes's n it works everytime all u have to do is clean the connector with a q-tip n rubbing alcohol n bend them up a little bit for a better connection n then disable the lockout chip n it works better then new because it never gets a blinking screen or wierd graphics ever again and it helps if u clean ur nes cartridges with the alcohol too it extends the life of ur nes if the games r clean

  • yep, thats how people make "new" connectors, they just refurbish them

  • exactlly, so why do people waste money on new 72 pins(see my other comment to )

  • multipurpose alcohol

  • ok sure Ive seen many ways to kill the Lockout Chip but the problem with that is that there are too many versions of the nintendo with different chip set ups and they all seem to require a new way to disable the chip! I would just pay the 9-8 bucks for a new connector....... I would only try to disable it for the purpose of playing bootlegs and imports!

  • mega64.

  • oh man! lol if only i woula known this like.. 7 years ago..lol

  • or much u can do something much easy u can get an NES or SNES emulator for ur psp

  • Old news. I plan on putting my videos up soon and my 1st will be how to desolder the old rf and power box on your nes and run it on 4.5 volts. These two should learn from me

  • I still have my SNES Don't even play it gonna put it on eBay for a few pound I'm sure somebody will buy it!

  • i would if it comes with games lol

  • Someday when I find my NES, which at the moment is buried somewhere in my basement, I will do as your video instructs me to do and play again ^_^. (I miss my old mario games *sigh*)

  • Those pins are more than 1 dollar there like 10 or more with shipping neer the end of the auction on ebay

  • If you have a ps2, psp, or ps3 that i can purchase for 2 dollars that works AND plays old NES games, i'll be happy to buy it off of you.

  • i have about 30 nintendos that are broke, so i would like to know where to get them cheap

  • beacause you not just repair?

  • i cannot find the 72 pin connector for under 4 dollars a pop, but i would love to know where you guys got some for a dollar, please holla back

  • I can't unscrew the RF shield :(

  • People still play nes? I mean, yeah it was a great system but after playing the games of today.. it's kind of like eating steak dinners after eating peanut butter sandwiches all your life. You don't wanna go back. Except maybe to visit for a day.

  • Hey I just bought one/ I own 1

  • I play with "today" games and theese are very cool games but i still playin old games because they have a "Spirit"

  • you have haunted nintendo games?

  • :) -

  • I miss the Gamelife with those retarded kids.

  • Heh, that's what I was looking for when I found this.

  • My NES game tray jammed about a year ago, but I pried it loose with a screwdriver.

  • An important thing they left out in this vid is that you should clean your NES games, or the shit will transfer over to the new connector and it might not work properly. Just cleaning your games can allso make the games work without switching connector.

(Just so you know what i`m talking about, i have restored somewhere over 5 systems by now.)

  • fuckin sweet!!!!! thanks for tip now ill be able to fix my nes!

  • to abd i already threw mine away x.x

  • Awsome my name is GamerLife, no clue there was a show

  • i can buy a whole nes for a doller

  • yep still have to blow in it and use a cotton swab and alcohol to clean it... exactly what they say not to do but it works like hell

  • mine works great still, although i don't know for how much longer.

  • I just bought a NES at a flea market today, plus a new 72 pin connector!

  • this is good advice but it doesnt work a couple of months ago i got a nes of ebay it didnt work and i got a new 72 pin connector installed it all the same way and it still didnt work

  • or you can get an emulator for your pc

  • Just buy a RetroDuo.

  • macgyver uses gum!

  • if only i still had mine :(

  • Very nice. Thanks for the knowledge increase.

  • bet you still have to blow in the cartridge 12 times

  • Or I can just download the rom and emulator and play within a minute. :)

  • well i did this to fix my friends nes a year ago and it worked, but my nes is still poop. guess my system is just dead

  • omg nerds are taking over aaaaaaa

  • Yay!! NES geeks of the world can finally rise again. Thanks!

  • Sweet thanks...

Now I gotta find a broken one cheap.

  • awesome!

  • great work Dan

  • All I want to know is where you get Chris' t shirt from? That thing is awesome!

  • This is video is very helpful thank you

  • biggest problem was the little spring thing that would push the game down i think

  • Incorrect; the pins act as springs themselves, and their springiness wear out over time. Eventually they stop working all together, and you need to replace them. This all has to do with the ZIF, which was a marketing tool NoA used to make the NES look more like a VCR. The Famicom didn't have this problem, nor did the top-loading NES, because their pins didn't function as springs.

  • cool thanks, can famicon also work with nes games or totally different?

  • cool info .. but all the unscrewing was boring me to tears
