We have just started a non-profit organisation to help people get back into work. It is launching in January 2012 and part of our work is interviewing people who are currently unemployed, taking their views, and then making a free programme that will REALLY make a difference.

I'm 26 and I was on the dole for 5 months after a year of various part-time jobs - it was one of the most depressing times of my life without a doubt. In the end I got a job as an English teacher in Spain as I'd worked there before - I really, really miss my country, friends and family and I would love to come home one day, I can only really see myself having a life, marrying and raising a family etc. in the UK - but I don't know when that's going to happen. However at least I've got a job now!!

2 million angry unemplyed people. This means rioting on a mass scale and i have done the math and it seems that is impossible for the governments to stop. Not all wars can be fought with weapons and government power and a mass riot is almost certainly a form of war and has the potential to end law and order.

I notice its the spade who got a job ,but ten she's is up the spout obviously the father has f off so she will soon be on benefits again .We need ALL the immigrants sent home .Only people who are well off want them here and the lazys who dont want to work like people in the UAF .But most brits do want to work but they want a living wage .Im lucky i was never out of work in my life for more than a few weeks .Im retired now .But All Jobs should go to White Brits first .Am I RACIST No Im Patriotic

Well if we didn't have so many EU immigrants working for cheap wages, doing the low level jobs our young should be doing then we may not be in this growing problem. When i left school i worked for low wages, but i moved on and up as my skills developed, but we stop them at the first step by employing more skilled but still cheap migrants. We need to get out of the EU and look after our own. No i am not racist, but i am proud to be English.

@eyeswideopennimrod I wouldn't say you were being racist, is so obvious that MPs won't admit because of racism.

I'm English too, it took me almost a year to get a job after I left College but unfortunately that ended after 6 Months and I've only had one other job since and that also ended too.

The problem is, sending youths and adults on 13 week courses is not the solution to getting them into work (it's just a waste of time and money when you could be doing something useful).
