Usher isnt Marvin, but so what. He still did a respectful job and no one is going to be the orgianal , no matter how bad or good they are. You want the real deal, there are plenty of video clips to watch. This is a show about a show, not just any show but about American Bandstand, I enjoy it for what it is, a walk down memory lane, where music was cool and amazeing and American Bandstand was THE SHOW to watch.

This is a non-reality show. Whites didn't get into the R&B sound with alot of emphasis back in the day, especially on Bandstand. Alot of the time they didn't even clap to the beat!! If you don't believe me, do some YT research. Signed...a white witness.

it was a TV SHOW. It´s like a videoclip. Nobody sings live in a videoclip or movie (except in special ocasions). Actually he won some cool point. He was portraying an iconic singer. Usually people lip sings the other person´s voice.

@mscrmlkyss87 :  Check out a lot of the variety shows of the time(especially the jackson 5), most of the acts were lipsyncing. I'm guessing that he was directed to do it to make it look more authentic.

Hey. This is a sneak of the TV show American Dreams. The show use to invite young artists to portray classical singers.

Usher was very excited to do Marvin´s movie, but the actor will be Jesse L. Martin.
