Being part of a big record label means signing contracts, making the music according to their terms, doing what they want. A band can make better music and have a deeper fanbase being independent as opposed to being a big name in the industry. Think about it, how much better would a lot of musicians be without the exposure to opportunities at big money?

And who knows, maybe in a few years Galt will be a lot more popular.
