  • al told it like it is, hes an honest politician, a vote for a tea bagger is a vote neanderthal policies plain & simple................

  • My cat is funnier than this idiot.. he got an extra 13 votes from prisoners! YIKES!

  • Excellent talk Mr. Franken.

  • @JBB: Really like your comments, but I'm confused on just one thing: I've heard the proposed tax cut talked about in 2 different ways: In one way, it's for all those making less than $250K/year, and in another way, it's for the first $250K in income, so that even those above the $250K/yr income level, would still receive a tax cut on the first 250K. If the second is true, as I suspect it is, why on earth aren't the democrats emphasising that more?

  • I've been noticing he sounds drunk, lately. Does anybody know? Does he have a problem??

  • @Paul - I don't like BS either. I'm sick of corrupt politicians. Aren't you? Let's push our representatives to pass the DISCLOSE act so that we can find out who is funding their campaigns. Let's ban members of congress from becoming lobyists, let's have campaign fincance reform so that politicians aren't just puppets for special interests. We might not agree on the role of gov, but we can agree corruption sucks. PS, I think public education, fire/police dpts., parks, roads, etc r great!

  • Tell em' Al!!!

  • explain to me how more spending reduces the debt???

  • @Paul91384

More spending does not reduce the debt. Let's start from the beginning. The bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which the Washington Post estimates could cost tax payers between 125-250 billion, was passed by President Bush. TARP, the Troubled Asses Relief Program, also passed under president Bush, was originally estimated to cost over $350 billion, is now projected to have a price tag of $25-$50 billion.

  • @Paul91384

$25-$50 billion is nothing to scoff at, but considering that most of the banks have paid back the money that they borrowed and that the US goverment is expected to sell its 60% stake in GM, that's not so bad. It was pretty bad Paul. Moving on to Obama's admin. the recovery act, $250b in tax cuts to everyone making less than $250,000/yr (enagling many families to go to the grocery store), $164b to states, 150b contracts/grants/loans. recovery.gov/Pages/home.aspx

  • Love ya Al!!

  • One of the truly honest politicians in the US who actually work for the betterment of the people -- not the corporations! And that's a fact, Jack!

  • Thanks Al, and thanks for the F A C T S !!!

  • @NoBSAmerican If "Drug-addicticted hippies" are capable of a feat like taking over the Democratic Party, I think that more people should rethink the whole idea of "the war on drugs."

  • @hakaida0 Well actually I said drug-addicted hippies AND neoMarxists. Most of the hippies were simply useful tools like they are today (ie the college kids and other bums who dont want to actually work for a living). The others essentially became politicians/comedians like Al Franken.

  • @NoBSAmerican Careful - such generalizations might show you up as being ignorant of details & unable to substantiate a thing you say (i.e., it'll look as though you're merely ranting)

  • @yesicanne So what? Maybe I am ranting. Don't you think commenting on Youtube is more for the cathartic experience rather than intellectual discourse...especially given the annoying word limit?

People who try to solve the world's problems on Youtube are exactly the type of people to whom Al Franken and Barrack Obama speak.

  • @NoBSAmerican You say "People who try to solve the world's problems on Youtube are exactly the type of people to whom Al Franken and Barrack Obama speak." Yet FOX news and other networks where you get your suppossed facts are run by most conservatives. Media that is posted by "AMERICAN PEOPLE" is no BS. Sodon't pull words out of the dictiomary to try to sound articulate and shove it in people's face. Your snotty attitude is not welcome among us college students and young "corrupt" minds.

  • @sanddruid82 Well first of all, you have no idea where I get my facts from. You're guessing based on your modern-day brainwashing that has been delivered without scrutiny by a bunch of neoMarxist, America-hating, college professors. Second, my "snotty attitude" is only a concern to someone who does not believe in free speech. Third, how the hell did you even get into college with that jr high level of grammar? You should consider using a "dictiomary" once in a while.

  • @NoBSAmerican looks like you're just FULL of BullShit, eh BS? too bad we have to live in a cuntry with mouth-breathin' morons like you, we'd all be a lot better off if you let the intelligent people govern instead of your bunch of illiterate, inbred 'Merka hatin' brand of retards.sweet holy jeebus if you can't think rationally don't blame it on those of us who can, and do...try using your brain instead of a dictionary, it might help you think a little more clearly...or not...also :)

  • @oneirishpoet Let me know when you graduate from elementary school, and maybe we'll have a conversation Junior. You obviously were not paying attention to the election we had over 3 months ago...you know when most of the "cuntry" told the Democrats where to stuff their Socialist policies? But since your nonsensical comment is months after the point of relevancy, maybe you should just take another prozac and see a professional to get help with your self-hating emotional tantrums...dummy!

  • @NoBSAmerican actually I'm a graduate of medical school you un-evolved fucking moron & I can tell your BS is derived from an extremely ignorant/ uneducated background...from the nature of your asinine comments I'd say you're lucky if you managed to graduate from high school... & I'm sure like most Teabagger retards you don't have the slightest idea what a 'Socialist' is...as a physician I recommend having your meds adjusted pronto, to help with the paranoia & delusions...also :)

  • @oneirishpoet Oh look everyone, the mental patient thinks he's the doctor. LOL! Well allow me to introduce myself. I'm Bill Gates...I mean if you're going to dream, dream big dumb ass. Now go take your thorazine fuck face before the interns put you back in your straight jacket!

  • Now how do we get rid of this fool.

  • One of three democrats I can still stand. Thanks Al for being such a strong supporter of net neutrality.

Lets see if it holds up once Joe "I hate the internet" Biden takes you out to dinner.
