I am from france, and this mess just reached here....our government just gave millions of euros,to bail out our banks and guess what..?they start again to TOXIC-TRADE like nothing ever happened......
"Bail out bonds" Instead of the gov. using our tax money to mop up the wall street mess, the gov. should issue bonds that will allow American/foreign individuals&companies to participate in the bail-out BY CHOICE and see a return on their investment. Regulation! The gov should post-regulate, that is force predatory lenders to refinance the foreclosed mortgages at the initial interest rates the borrowers were able to pay in the 1st place and let them back into they're homes. It's only PAPERWORK!!
Instead of the government paying the bills all the rich billionaires (even in other countries) need to chip in and do what they can to save capitalism. Capitalist can save capitalism. They have a stake in the economy not going down because they would lose millions of dollars anyway. They need to take initiative and get together and fix the problem with old fashioned free market way.
Why would Bill Gates sit back and let the economy tank? A little fear might get his attention.
The rich people don't have a problem with the US economy failing. They've already bought tangible assets like off shore property and put all their money in Swiss bank accounts.
But if I was a rich man, I would do ALL I could to help, wouldn't you? (^-^)
Uhhhh... I don't think the rich got rich my giving their money away!
Where the hell are the board of directors for these companies? So much for accountability that was supposed to change after Enron!! Crooks with a license to print money at will!
I hear that ... it sickens me that we always here the excuse it's too much money to fix the health care system .... but if they need 800 billion to bail out these rich companies NO PROBLEM just fill out a 3 page report and try to get it passed..... sickens me ....
Where does it end? Day in, day out, bad practices and bad people taking everything in sight. The worlds largest greed fest ever seen. An economy on debt and or credit is doomed to fail from the very first dollar printed by the federal reserve.<-money with a debt attached. This can never be paid back. We are already slaves in this country. Slaves to debt. Pay off everything! Pay cash for everything! File bankruptcy if you have too. When the economy crashes, those who owe will forever be enslaved.
I am not picking on you in particular but this kind of comments make me laugh.
So the debt is said to never be paid back. Turning people into slaves... Funny. Well, debt is good if you never have to pay it back.
Currently, the US (and some other parts of the world) get equipped and better their daily life through a debt that will never be repaid. How is this bad?
People who can lament are people whose countries are stripped from the necessities which can better their life, mainly natural
I can see by your response that you know nothing about economics. There is no way that a debt society can do anything but snowball into failure. And all the interest payed goes right to the top. Don't you see the middle class disappearing? Don't you see everyone loosing there homes? After the depression, banks started loaning money and advertising as the new way to live. Have that house now! Have that car now! People no longer had to save for what they wanted. This is the trap! You are not free.
And the lament goes on. Yes, you are totally right. I know nothing about economics.
Well, interests are paid in money paper, not actual resources. Ummmmm, so an entire society crumble because of the lack of a middle class? Really?
Everyone losing their homes? Oh, thanks to the debt, they had twos?
Well, they have that house, that car, that tv set. Around the world, there are many people who will never have that house, that tv, that car, mainly because the resources they have under their feet
People like you make me laugh. If you want to experiment the real ugly side of the Fed, do not stay in the US. Actually, the Fed is protecting the common US citizen. Go where you will be on the receiving end of this federal bank.
A piece of advice: buy your ticket back to home before. It is far from sure you will be able to buy one and once you face the real impact of the fed, it will be home sweet. home.
Not enough understand the inflation that will result. We're still in the eye of the storm and they extended it just a bit longer, yet the back will now be much worse. The best one can do now is prepare ASAP.
Its getting bad, to the point where I want to leave the country. The only people that rise up against this crap are suppressed and cast aside as nutjobs. The ignorant, apathetic, and just plain stupid are the overwhelming majority and they serve the system well.
Is it too late to do anything about this??Thank you for this video! Our gov't is disgustingly corrupt and this is an outrage indeed. This information should have been all over the mass media so that the mass public would know what is going on, but of course it isn't because the corporate-owned media doesn't WANT you to know about this. With this bill, they slipped in REPORTING *ALL* CREDIT CARD PURCHASES TO THE IRS and FINGERPRINTING MORTGAGE BROKERS. This is sheer INSANITY.
Olmstead v. United States - is a 1928 opinion of the Supreme Court of the United States, in which the Court reviewed whether the use of wiretapped private telephone conversations, obtained by federal agents without judicial approval and subsequently used evidence, constituted a violation of the defendant's rights provided by the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. In a 5-4 decision, the Court held that neither the Fourth Amendment nor the Fifth Amendment rights of the defendant were violated.
I find it Ironic that Ron Paul, who claims to be a strict constructionist alludes to the belief in the 'Right to Privacy. ' 'The Right to Privacy' didn't even exist until 1965 see Griswold v. Connecticut. Before 1965, in the entire history of Constitutional jurisprudence, the Federal Government was not barred from things like warrantless wiretapping.
Griswold v. Connecticut is widely cited as one of the stalwart examples of judicial activism
This is definitely an item that should have all Americans outraged. Outraged enough to take ACTION to stop this raping and pillaging of the American economy. Thank you, Jive, for putting up this video!
Thanks, Don. Great rant you made about this. You should have heard the voice mail I left for Senator Boxer. BTW, I find that only two Dem representatives voted no. Who knew the Democrats were fascists?
Thanks Jive. We also need to educate these sheeple who vote for these crooked Senators who vote for these bills. I will call my Senator tomorrow!!! I have my doubts though..NJ is pro-bailout. ughhhhh
Well, that seems to be the big problem these days. Those assholes in Congress can just ram bills through, without even reading them, and the people don't have any time to react. We need to fire the whole lot of them, except Dr Paul of course.
I heard Fannis May president was making 11 MILLION dollars a year, and Freddie was 18 Million a year. This was their SALARIES! I do not know if it is true, but this whole thing is ridiculous!!
Stout fellow! Now send a link to this vid to everyone on your contact list. I'm putting a sample letter in the description section. Click on "(More info)."
First they pushed us off the farms to factories then they pushed the factories out of the country. Now we have a service economy that can not sustain itself service what I ask it's like a house with no foundation. The government is the problem to think the government has any solutions is naive.
Federal open market committee of the private Federal Reserve Bank, and the President's plunge protection committee. Notice the stock market has been so calm since IndyMac failed. Creating more Fiat money out of thin air in secret it appears that the market is being proped up untill they choose which bank to fail for the next government terrorist attack upon its own population. The debt is Fiat as the money that was created and loaned to the governemtn from the banksters.
Stopping this bill may be the most important thing we ever do. If the dollar is allowed to deteriorate much further, there will be a stampede to get out of dollars worldwide. Almost nobody I know is prepared for that.
The poor cannot bail out the rich. They inflated housing values beyond what is sustainable. With the average american making less then they did 10-20 years ago of course the housemarket poped a bubble. I will not support these inflated prices.
SHUT DOWN DC switchboard again! More devil in details of this bill, urgent you watch the other videos this user has posted. Big Brother will now have ALL of your credit card transactions as part of this. Don't delay, learn the details.
I will call, like I have many times for many reasons, but I don't honestly think it will do any good. Nearly all of these politicians in office have sold us down the river a long long time ago. What we need to do is outlaw legal bribery aka lobbyists, and remove everyone who voted in favor of anything the bush regime has done.
You are right, it is worth the effort. I just get so discouraged because it's clear that the owning class wants to bankrupt the working class and drive the wages down. Same reason they leave our borders open.
I seldom ask this, but please rate this video, leave a comment, and forward a link to all your contacts. There are more links in the description section.

-I'm exchanging ALL my U.S. currency for Euro's
-I'm Investing heavily in Gold & Oil stocks
-I'm Praying that this won't effect the Canadian economy. "IT WILL" :)
Americans should not sit buy and allow this bailout. You're already funding TWO WARS.
Tell Obama & McCain that you will not vote for them if you let this bill pass.

The government should walk up to Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and other Billionares and say "what are you going to do about it?"
These are the smart guys - not the politicians. They could actually make a profit in the long run.
