Thanks for posting and for bringing back so many great memories of he Everton I was brought up in and will never forget. I've lived in Huddersfield in Yorkshire since 1969 but those Everton streets will never leave me and to be able to re-live those great days when I had total freedom to explore the many nooks and crannies will see me though my old age. Thanks again from a grateful and humble Evertonian in every sense of the word
I was 10 years old when this was filmed and used to live in Aber st....I would normally have been kicking a ball around in the street....I must have been call in for my tea...or maybe Dr Who was on the Telly !........Many, many thanks for the memories, Davlin !
as a lad living in everton after the war we walked everywhere so we knew every st and nook and cranny plus most of the people in our district that was L6 my name is George Neal our history goes back many centuries of living in Liverpool well done for your foresight in taking this movie though i live in Australia i still scroll the net for things like this thank you
just to let u know on 7minutes there is 2 lads and a women the one in the white shirt is my dad james hill (jimmy) and the other lad in the black clothes my dad said is gabriel caglarini and he believes the women is ann titchen, he was made up to relive so many memories. don't know if anyone remembers my dad??
know what ya mean John te memorys come flooding back i meself come from Arkwright st and used to go to Rosscommon st school ,we used to go to Margerate st for metlework it seamed a million miles away
hi davlin my uncle was looking thru some of the old videos of Liverpool on youtube and came accross this/your video what makes it stand out is that he noticed that in the 3rd minute and 10th second there is 4 small children all girls and the just happen to be my mum and 3 aunts so i must thank you for letting me see what they were like :0)
Superb mate. I really enjoyed both parts. It's great to see what life would have been like for my Dad growing up in a working class family in Liverpool. He would have been 6 at this time, so around the age of some of the kids playing (1:48). He's told me many a story about what it was like, but seeing it in pictures makes it so much more real. Things like this make me so proud of my heritage, so thank you and keep up the good work. Sean O'Donnell
Great to find this, I was nine years old when this was filmed living in Caird street. I probably went to school with some of the kids. Whitefield rd and then Margret Street seniors. plus Margy Baths. Brings nice thoughts and tears to my eyes. would like to copy to disc to show my parents. So many good memories
thaks for this so mahy memories i lived in china street off netherfield road so know most of what is here i the vid i have tears in my eyes ilove liverpool then and ilove it now i live in spain now and this makes me miss it even more its not perfect there but it will always always be home
@krogsdamvej thanks for this it brings back so many memories i lived in china street of netherfield road and know most places shown i now live in spain and have tears in my eyes looking at this its not perfect there but willalways be HOME
hi i lived in priory road at the top of st.georges hill then moved to st.georges heights in 1967 when our house was pulled down !!i was 13 at the time remember mitford st well had lots of mates there ! remember ritchie green ?? or the ackos?? the currys? the leas ?
I moved to Garston in 1966 agd 8. I can remeber some of the people from the area, Stephen Gunnion, Raymond and Frank Maloney, Sidney Graves. I went to Heyworth Street school and remember the teachers Lovibond and Narver. Also the swimming pool inside the school.
Brilliant to see the unedited version of Davlin's films. I lived in Caird Street and I've been looking for footage for ages of Everton. This made my day. Thanks

I've read about and seen pictures of Liverpool's bygone days but I think film captures it best.
