  • Got one too, it`s awesome.can compare it to my other Strats, Korea lite ash is a good one.

    Get it, if you can.

  • where can i buy this guitar new????

i've looked for it on guitar center and i can't find it....:s

    please...someone help me...!!!!

  • @danielthecoolmachine look on ebay, sometimes u may find one :-)

  • @danielthecoolmachine Are you from the uk im selling mine, mint condition

  • @danielthecoolmachine It is not produced anymore (it was only from 2004 thru 2007 I think), look on eBay, you could get one for around 600 dollars

  • dude! you play amazing! but I have one question. What is the name of the song you start playing at 1:11?

  • @gitaargast1995 ...thank you very much :-) if nobody elsy wrote it, then its my song *grin*.

  • @instrumentenfreak , ohh whaha, well, if you still know how to play, do you want to tab it for me? cuz, i really like it :)

  • The Diamond....what? You dont have the same LA strat that I do. Ive got sperzel locking tuners, graphtech nut and redid my trem on the two I have....and they are anything but boring. I sold 2 usa strats and kept my Lite Ash versions....the 50's v shaped neck and the birdseye maple will always make them a keeper!

    Nice playing..............

  • i gotta lite ash..... for me they are too tinny and they go out of tune very easily.....and they are just boring.

  • @TheDiamond909

    tinny => yes

out of tune => just when I use the vibrato very much

just boring => definetely not :P

  • @instrumentenfreak fair comment

  • @TheDiamond909 change hardware then.

  • @TheDiamond909 .....will you sell it?

  • This one or a deluxe stratocaster?

  • I also have one of these. 2004. I agree with ericlarsen. I changed the pots to 250k, added fender locking tuners, swapped the Seymour Duncan's out with Fender custom shop Fat 50s pickups and added a bone nut. Pretty much an american deluxe/standard but made in Korea. A sweet, sweet guitar!

  • Nice playing, man. Great-sounding guitar too!

  • And BTW...the lite is not weight....its a color reference. Ash is NOT light weight....its a tone wood...being very dense and heavy.

    Rock and roll

  • Thats not correct, lite ash is swamp ash or southern ash which is lighter than the 70s northern ash strats which were denser and very heavy.

  • PS,sorry you are right lite ash is the colour but the difference these days in ash is its not the heavier northern ash but lighter swamp ash.

  • And if you want this to have that classic vintage strat sound.....change the pots to 250k's instead of the 500k's that come on it......you wont find a better sounding strat.......

    Rock and roll

  • I hope people realize that Fender ships american parts and wood to mexico and korea! That what makes pretty damn good strats for a reasonable price!

One of my customers works for Fender....he works in the dept that ships the parts to mexico....they are assembled in mexico..with both mexican made and american made parts.

Ive got a MIM, MIK and USA strat....I have 2 of the Lite Ash strats and for the money....its my favorite strat I own.

    Rock and roll..........

  • great sound, it is Fender all right..

  • i hope people realize that fenders name got bought out, so the ones that sell for 400, 600 dollars are not real fenders. you want a real fender, pay the $1200 or $2000

b/c they are worth it, unlike the "fenders" made in either mexico or korea

  • how much did you buy it for???

  • 450,-€

  • what would be better for a hendrix/fuzzy blues sound?? a highway one or an ash lite? i love the ash finish.. but the highway one im told sounds better with the ash being too light :(... im on a tight budget ... about £425.00 (about 600 dollars)

this means i can get this lite ash strat or a crappy colour (midnight wine.. etc) highway one

  • the highway strat is better for hendrix, but you can buy a lite ash and change the pickups ;)

  • WHY CHANGE THE PICK UPS? they have HIGHEND SEYMOUR DUNCAN ALNICO PRO II STAGARDS I SEE NO REASON TO CHANG THE PICK UPS.

when CORT crafted this strat for fender they used mostly highend hardware on this guitar. if this strat right now the way it is had USA instead korea on the back of the headstock this strat would sell for at least $1,200 the way it is right now .

  • I got one of these bad boys, alright guitar. I think I'll probably buy an american standard next time though.

  • Yeah man this is verry nice playing guitar i also want to buy this lite ash strat thanx for the video. qestion -is it stay in tune well?

  • thanks, yes this guitar stays in tune very well :)

  • it's no longer available fender discontinued it this past january 2009 after a 5 year run, i'm very lucky to have one.

  • me too i picked one up last night form ebay, i love it!

  • yeah dude i live in australia. i bought one of ebay, and the bloke that a bought it of ordered it from the factory. after 3 weeks of being shipped from wherever the fuck it came from in the world, when i pulled it out of the box, i strummed and "a" chord, and it was perfectly in tune. i can malest the shit out of the wammy and it will stay in tune. it fucken awsome.

  • this fender korean lite ash special edition strat has been considerd by many musicians to be one of the best production strats made. its simply a brilliant strat.

  • ur right :) it gave me many eargasms^^

  • Yeap and it's awesome looking too! And this guy really kicks ass :)

Im waiting my American Deluxe Ash next week, maybe i'll upload some stuff!

  • @stratdem i have one and it is very nice and many people do not know aboutits 22 frets it is a very unique piece

  • @stratdem i have one and it is very nice and many people do not know aboutits 22 frets it is a very unique piece

  • great guitar

  • what is the diference beetween that guitar and the fender american strat ?

  • Hi, the american strat sounds more like Jimi Hendrix and the lite ash sounds like Mark Knopfler^^

  • the lite ash has got a fucking sound

  • The American sound is cleaner, the American does not get out of order, is shielded well, you pay a very good guitar, one is out of tune much less, the lite ash is a shit of guitar

  • Responding to Diisafatslag,

A huge improvement, apart from more control over the volume and tone (especially wiring the tone pot to the bridge PUP), it provided a warmer tone overall.

Playing through a Fender 600 champ practice valve amp sounds great and also my Ashdown 60w x12 valve amp.

I've tried more expensive made in USA Strats and to be honest, I can't justify the extra expense as there isn't that much difference on the quality or tone. If anything, I think my LIte Ash plays better.

  • im so getin a lite ash tele but ill have to save up (£350) im 13

  • I think this Instrument is one of the best I ever played (for it's cost).

  • what should i buy the lite ash or a standard strat??(i play stuff like iron maiden and rory gahillger) any advice??

  • the lite ash is perfect for a Mark Knopfler-Sound (Dire Straits), the standard strat is better for Hendrix-Stuff. But you make your own sound, whatever you buy - both are great instruments

  • I have a Lite Ash Strat, great guitar.

Only problem is the electrics. I have changed all the wiring for high spec wax covered wire, pots are now CTS 250k with tone pot wired to bridge pickup and a USA Deluxe 5 way switch. And finally, 5 springs on the trem.

Simple mods like this make a great guitar even better.

With a soft v shape neck, a two piece ash body and Seymour Duncan PUP's, what more do you need.

  • this guitar makes me play the whole day^^

  • How much of an improvement did the pots replacement make?

  • bad guitar

  • the parts on this guitar are made by cort

  • whered you get that?

  • Very good playing! Respect. I think have the exact same strat (mine is from korea, a bit rare, with seymour duncon pick-ups). I was wondering, what string gauge are you using? Have you made any modifications?

  • sick great playing

  • thanks

  • as far as effects i use LINE6 FLOOR POD PLUS,ALSO USE BOSS ME50 MULTI EFFECTS.DALLAS ARBITER FUZZ FACE. 5 DIFFERNT WAH WAH PEDALS.I RECOMEND THE LINE6 FLOOR POD PLUS AND THE BOSS ME50 YOU CANT GO WRONG.

  • good job man i enjoyed the playing. i also owne the lite ash strat same one you have. i just read some reviews on this guitar and there great.this strat is the #1 prodution strat on the market. playability/tone and feel this strat ranks with the american ash strat and i was surprised to see that most guitarist prefer this one over the american ash strat and i can see why. the korean fender lite ash strat is simply a better all around guitar. and yes its made withe the same wood the americans are

  • thank you :)

  • I concur with. The day I bought my Lite Ash Strat I must have tried 6 or 7 USA strats and the Lite Ash stood out above them all.

Just need that and my 95' mexican hss. Laughing mate!

  • nice work! you really know what the strat is made for :)

  • thank you :)

  • you play real good. I was thinking to myself Fender? Yamaha? Now it's definately the Fender Strat which is better.Oct-Nov 2008 I'll get mine instead of rushing for the yamaha 112. I'll wait for the lite ash quality.

  • just bought one today !

  • awesome playing bluesy and stuff i like that

  • thanks :)

  • man i cant wait im gettin a deluxe ash in tabbaco sunburst on friday

  • Nice, dude! I loved that song you played at the end. A real jazzy, rockin tune.

  • hey what song is this?

  • from my band jj67

  • i am thinking about getting a american deluxe ash stratocaster. why isn't it good for playing hendrix music

  • This guitar implements ash as the body wood, a wood that gives a really sharp crisp sound.

Jimi hendrix's strat most possibly uses alder (havnt researched), which is used for a warmer sound. Hendrix's tone is on the warmer end of the spectrum more than anything. dw theres an abundance of alder strats in case your looking for em. Theres probly some thing around that tells you the specs of the gear hendrix used. dunno but

  • tx alot so i guess ill go with the stevie vaughn signiture if this wont cut it cause i mostly play blues like jimi stevie and so on.

  • great playing listen i play a lot of hendrix can this guitar pull off that sound please answer me as soon as possibl cause i have to place my order.

  • thanks 4 comment. This guitar don't have the sound of Hendrix - a fender made in mexico with texas special-pickups is much better for playing Hendrix :)

  • my Fretboard is waxed...

  • There's a touch of Eric Johnson about your style..very nice!

  • thanks :)

  • After alot of research i've found that this Korean version is regarded as alot better than most Mexican & some USA Strats! The pickups are hotter according to most guitar salesmen so it's similar to a Fender Hotrod Strat. It's superb value! Thanks for posting the video. I will try & purchase one soon possibly in black on black.

  • Sounds good, love to know why Kiely thinks it's "way off". Finished fretboards are just *weird*, if you can't get lemon oil into it, it bain't natural.

  • You are right. Lacquered fretboards are VERY difficult to re-fret.The lacquer causes chipping when they they lift the old frets out. I am presently having great difficulty finding someone brave enough to re-fret my 1973 Strat because of the polyester lacquer. My advice...buy one without the shine!

  • the sound is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off

  • hey im thinkin about getting this guitar actually i have three choices im trying to make up my mind between this one the fender 70 reissue or 60 reissue andy advice and also does the fretboard have a finish on it cause i don't like dry fretboards anyone can answer

  • hy. The fretboard doesn't have a finish.

  • This guitar is better than both the others even though they maybe USA made.(and alot more expensive)

Take it from me, i have an original 1973 Strat with finished neck. The axe still looks immaculate, only tiny marks on back but it was made with very low frets

which are difficult to replace. Fret specialists are presently telling me to stay away from polished necks!

Very few artists use polished necks.

  • just kiddin!hahahhahaha zal wel aan youtube liggen!

  • maul

  • its fake!

  • why? this is just low quality... Fakes sounds better *g*

  • is this an american fender? very noce played!

  • thx ;) it's a korean fender - I love this guitar

  • sehr gut jörg wie immer^^ gruß pascal

  • Gefällt mir gut ;-)

  • next time load into windows movie maker (if you have windows PC) and line teh audio up with the video, it gets annying but its still great sounds.

a better cam wont sync the audio and video, everyone has to do that manually

  • Beautiful Strat. The natural ash with the black guard has always been my favorite.

  • That some great playing! Great tone. I especially liked the Hendrix-like rhythm you were doing near the end.

  • so out of sync

  • sorry 4 this, but I have no better camera...

  • awesome

  • thak you :)

  • yes man, it sounds great...I'm so sad ,i've bought a tonelab 3 hours ago and I'm not able to make it works. There is no sound coming out from my guitar:(
