@boomerboy12 Hey Boomer! Are you (or anyone else) aware of a cover version by a band called "The Titans"? I just heard it from volume 7 of Buffalo Bop's CD "Strictly Instrumental" series. I loved all of the J&TH stuff while growing up in WI.
Not only is this one of my favs, but it was the focus of my attack against my nasty neighbors early in the morning right after one of their all night parties. They made sure that all the dancing took place directly over my bed once they found out where it was. I also used a shoe to pound on my ceiling and fired a starter pistol out the window while it was playing LOUDLY against a beam on the wall to their bedroom.
Believe it or not, they moved out soon after without having any more parties?
OH YEAH! THIS WAS MY SONG I PLAYED TO OPEN MY RADIO SHOW AT WXVX 1510AM TRUE PITTSBURGH OLDIES IN MONROEVILLE PA. I WENT ON THE AIR AT 0600 EVERY MORNING. I WAS KNOWN AS THE COLONEL. THANKS.
'Alright you guys rise & shine!", I like the way this instrumental starts out otherwise i'll go on to say this isn't my favorite by the boys, Instrumentals were a big buisness back in the doowop era and very few of us are open to the fact. There were probably no less than 5 inst. on the top 40 chart on any given week in the early 60's but nobody would assume that. thx4 postin'
Ha! Great one, Ron! I remember the song coming out of my little blue 6 transistor Zenith portable, as I raced down the street on my Schwinn Tornado! Great stuff! Thanks!
@rwells47 I agree great video. Laurel and Hardy meet Johnny and the Hurricanes -- there's one I never thought I would see! I've always loved that picture on the album cover -- blowing up a storm. Thanks for posting this fun old song that I recall with great affection from childhood days.
One of my very favorite instrumentals from the '50s...

My Dad wrote this song (1958 I think). I still get a kick out of it.
