  • EARPORN.

  • sound makes me shake

  • second only to the '67 mustang ;)

  • LMAO calling a dump valve chavy? i thought the 'FAKE ONES' were called that :)

  • Sounds a bit tinny and chavvy. Especially the chav valve.

  • @Drbudweiser nothing chavy about a dump valve.

  • your car sound like a animal love to give that a spin lol ;)

  • 2 people drive fiat punto's !

  • OMFG :O IM IN HEAVEN!!

  • i hope to own a scooby one day. and if it sounds as good as this one does i will be happy.

  • Is this a full decat inc downpipe?

  • i LOVE that i used to own one till i had tons of problem ;( !! still love the sound and past tho!

  • @shabskats no you dident own one subs are the most relable car known to man even top gear agree

  • @publicbastard lol get one then see, there too week to handle a ragging. am talking about classics from 1993 to 2000 model

  • VVVVVVRRROOUUUUMMMM SSSSSSTTTIIIICCHHHHHHHH!

  • why do people do this to there cars? its not going to give that much more performance plus it's annoying as hell when you got a ricer with a fart cannon and the guy is driving like a fool. you want a fast car get one with a V8.

  • @thewhox56 Because it's their car and they can do whatever they like. And the good DV is a good thing and increases the performance. And well tuned Scoob will blow off any V8

  • Comment removed

  • @mando1337 Yes it is there car and i agree they can do what they wish. I really don't think that this Ricer could beat something like a Trans Am or GTO even a Buick GNX. I would gladly race and beat this Rice Burner in my 96 impala ss

  • btw...that boxer rumble sound is not the engine or anything to do with the way the pistons are... that sound is because wrxs use un equal length exhaust manifold. check it out if you search for equal length header vids on wrxs they dont have that same sound. more like most other 4 cyl cars if not a bit more beefy. .02 :) -03 wrx owner

  • omg that sound is horny :P

  • Its the scoobie engine that gives it that sound. You wont get any ova sound like it no matter what car it is and what exhaust it has :D

  • i know that ... but arn't the pistons mouted sideays?

  • yea they are, 2 goin one way and 2 goin the other meanin 2 rocker covers each end but still on the sme crank

  • yeah thats the boxer engine they move against each other, like punches hence "boxer" lol. only problem with this engine is that it has a problem with dsiplacing heat well

  • thanks for the info :)

  • wat is it that givs the scooby its indiviual sound?

something is mounted sideways i think...?

  • its the engine that gives the scooby its very distinctive sound

  • what a sound !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would kill for that sound

  • Same here, Can't wait to get an STI:D

  • that low humming when its not revving just sounds lush

  • lol you can tell a scooby from a mile away

  • OMG......... I love the sound of that Subaru.

  • does'nt anti lag reduce turbo life because boost is always available even when changing gears thus wearing out the turbo quicker?

  • no it reduces turbo life because the fire and heat and pressure wear away at the turbine.

  • anti lag only make a differance at low rpm i been in a car that had anti lag and at high rpm it only made it back fire

  • it's good for a subaru, because of the location of the MAF sensor. If you put a bigger turbo then yeah it's a different story.

  • thats how rex's shud sound

  • ai que puta de barulhinho.. isto pra nós é musica da boa eheh

  • dayyyuuummm

  • omg i just came tht sounded sooooo beautiful

  • what is the type of BoV called that makes a rapid popping sound when throttle is released. i cant remember what its called but i know that it reduces turbo lag by keeping the turbine spooled inbetween shifts.

  • umm idiot. all BOVs reduce turbo lag by keeping the turbine spooled in between shifts. that popping you hear is backfiring from overfueling. the cars run rich.

  • I think you will also find that it's afterfire, not backfire.

  • are you fucking retarded...a bov expells all your unused exhaust so as to not surge your turbo or keep it from spinning backwards i cant remember what its called off the top of my head...you have no idea what ur talkn bout

  • @letmytechspit close, it expells the unused air in the intake. because if that gets a higher pressure then the exaust(which happens when u stopprevving but the turbo is still spinning at high rpms) then it can cause the the turbo to spin back

    you werent far off

  • Those aren't bovs, they're called ALS, anti-lag system. Its point is that it keeps on the fuel supply, but the ignition is delayed, so the explosion goes straight through the already open exhaust valve to the turbine, keeping it spinning, still without delivering much torque to the crankshaft. Those external explosions are what you hear.

  • are anti-lag stsyems road legal ?

  • I don't think anyone would be happy if you'd bang your car along a quiet suburban road at night, but since it can be turned off (if I'm right), it's ok until the police catches you if you use it openly and excessively :P

  • haha kk cheers

  • Nope, anti-lag is only good from a stop. You are correct about what it does but not the purpose of what it does it for... It's to gain boost during a stop so you can slip your launch better. And the "rapid" popping (if thats what you want) the other guy is thinking of is just a mild compressor surge caused by the turbo spinning backwards via the air that was not able to be released from the BOV. Its not the best for your turbo but its deffienelty not as bad as load surge. have a nice day

  • I thought that rally drivers use it running as well, since it has the same aim and it's more effective than a BOV.

Moreover, when a car is approaching a corner, some produce such long explosions that can't really be done only by overfueling. So based upon these I think they might use it all along, to have even more boost after shifting than with a BOV and helping them leave the corners faster.

Though I just have all these in my head, unfortunately I can't even afford a car, not tuning it... : )

  • Dont qoute me on this but im fairly sure no one but a tuning company could feasibly afford to run anti-lag in a conventional exhaust system everything from the headers down would be roast because they weren't ment to handle that much heat from the constant run of fuel into the engine. and anti-lag runs "at all times" so that boost can be held high when off the throttle. I read up on that awhile ago but im fairly sure this is all right.

  • Yeah, you're right, maybe I forgot to tell that I was talking about rally cars. Of course a single boyracer can't afford an ALS with its consequences. But rally teams can afford it (I don't mean the WRC, but small domestic eg. Hungarian teams), I guess, and some clouded minds who'd like to own a rally-like car.

But I think it can be turned off, as it needs just a little modification to the camshaft, ignition and fuel supply. But it's just my theory, rally teams or else, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • fkn sounds mad i fkn froff that shit man slap it, slap it..... slap that shit nigga fkn love those genuine rexy noises make and expecially the BOV made me cum in my pants LOL nah im joking but fk i love that sound man good job mate

  • HO-LEE-FUCK!! made me cum ;)

  • From seeing the car on SNET I know the rest of it is just as nice!!

  • thats mint mate your one lucky man!!

  • sounds fukin sik m8
