@xxhennersxx Well, they didn't made pirates per se, if that was all about unlicensed GAMES, that is... okay, the consoles as well, since they were only the publishers of all that stuff.
And it was sponsored by that company rather than made.
@SkeletonHug Uh, I dunno. Naturally, I was trying to translate the first 12 releases of this show, to be released on a freeware DVD, but I somehow lost enthusiasm during the process of translating episode three.
But, if the people DO WANT, I may get back to writing a better translation and push it into the nets with the "COMPLETE" label.
@CrashNicker Dude, I know a ton of people that would love to see these released. This show is an incredibly historic look at what the gaming life was like in Russia and Eastern Europe. I feel that it is something that must be archived and kept within the gaming community. This show reveals tons of information about gaming in a part of the world that very few even knew had videogames to begin with! I think it would be a great idea to release these and I am willing to help however I can! :)
@CrashNicker Actually, to be honest I would love to see this DVD with more content than video- e.g.: scans of soviet/russian/ukrainian... videogame magazines.
@Kozakczuk Well, that's for a separate DVD. :) Gotta say, The Great Dragon magazine got so many issues that it would be impossible to fit all THAT and the entire New Reality show, even if in poor quality.
@CrashNicker Hm, you're right about that...by the way, is there any digitized samizdats about videogames/computers of that era, not counting the digital magazines in floppies?
@notfragile15 I doubt it's from here, considering SNES (alongside Megaman X) appeared only in this episode and that background was here around since the show started. XD
Czech Republic or Czechoslovakia was never part of the USSR. Tell them that and see what happens. It's like telling someone from Mexico that they we're once part of USA just because at one point they were invaded and there are a lot of cartoons from USA in there.
@hugostrangelove Well then, excuse my stupidity. That was eons ago when I posted that comment and that video. Although yeah, Czechoslovakia, as well as Poland and Serbia weren't in USSR, appearantly.
Hummer Team made their first game for JY company during 1993 (JY83 pcb = late 1993 to February '94). During this period, Somari Team was working on AV Jiu Ji Ma Jiang 2 and was starting to programm Somari. JY can't be hummer team and Hummer Team can't be Somari Team.
rusia is too late in video game technology.. they started playing NES in 1993?? hahahahaha. looool... shame for russian... in my country, in 1993 we are playing 32 bit console name sega saturn.. and we didn't care about this rubbish 8 bit console.. poor russian...
second: wow! you have played Saturn in 1993? congratulations! I don't know which country you are from, but I guess everyone is a thieving, stealing, bastard there, just like you. so you have STOLEN the Saturn's prototype in 1993, just like SpaceNinja88's videos, and you are even very proud of this!
or was it just a Saturn clone with Famicom internals? who knows...
Thanks dude. But, y'know, the ex-USSR economics had really hard time... in fact, it's also cool to have a console that runs games from EVERY region, right?
Yeah, all the carts were pirated, but not all the games were. Also, the percentages of pirates reviewed there are drastically smaller that the those of licensed games.
This is on nester :P
machscope 3 weeks ago
@machscope Nope, it was for the famiclones first. Nester is only an emulator of NES and its' whereabouts! :P

RobGBA 1 month ago
@RobGBA Well, back then, did ANYONE realized it was a pirated game anyway? :)
CrashNicker 1 month ago
@RobGBA The show is made by a company that MAKES pirates. and In the USSR, Copyright infringement ran rampant, it was just a way of life.

Hey this is Parodius Duh on Famicom World, any chance I could somehow get a few of these episodes on DVD-R? Id trade some cool pirates towards it! :)

@zzzz7889uil 1) Rubbish?! NES is classic, so...
2) Before, they had to mess up with import. Needless to say, that wasn't that widespread.
3) Instead of Saturn, Steepler had Panasonic 3DO, at least...
P. S. Typoed. 1992 instead of 1993... but that was December 1992. Very end
