  • I just bought a used (08) Eos 2.0T manual yesterday ♥ Can't wait to pick it up in 2 weeks!!

  • the 2006-present Volkswagen Eos is assembled in

    Palmela, Portugal

  • the EOS needs a resign...badly

  • Comment removed

  • can you let the top up and down while driving or do you hav eto be in park

also does it come it a remote control that can let the top up and down or just the button on the inside

  • have to be parked.

also, theres hacks/mods so you can control the roof through the remote

  • I did some reading up on this car and there's a company that will sell a kit that you can install fairly easily, that allows you let the top up and down while driving up to 30 mph!! I'll try to find that link again

  • dammit! cant work out what colour i want! they all look s ogood lol - black, blue and red.

I know i want a cream interior, but what colour? gah probably black is sexiest.

  • why would anyone buy this again?? lol the 3900lb 06 chevy impala LS (base model) has the exact same 0-60 time as this does and around the same power i think (213hp 215torque)...and costs less than half the price! lol

  • ...and you can immediatelly see and feel where they saved all the money when you get inside.

  • true, i'll give u that lol. but i would never pay that much to get so little.

  • I don't think you get little with V-dubs. Their cars usually take twice as long to assemble than the competetive models.

GM primarily tries to get the paper spec to the same level but they don't fiddle with the rest of the car like VW does.

  • in my experience, just b/c u take longer to assemble something, it doesn't make it better. GM focuses on how a car performs rather than its interior looks, which is how its always been since the 50's, up until now. And maybe its just me, but i would rather have something that performs well and doesn't have the greatest interior than something that looks extravagant, but doesn't perform up to its looks. Audi does make some good cars, but in my opinion, this is not one of them.

  • Some people prefer the overall feel of the car(and plastic bumpers not made out of carrier bags lol) and performance at the same time hence they have to pay more. Young people usually only care about the performance tho.

btw. the new Audi S4 is a masterpiece.

  • its carbon fiber for the vettes or fiberglass, not plastic.....but yeah the S4 is great....but some people dont want to have to pay 30-40 grand just to get good performance, hence the Cobalt SS turbo and supercharged....not the best design quality, but performance in the range of Evo's and STi's, and the fastest car (besides the MS3) for under 25, grand....but your right, most people who look at performance over styling are younger people.

  • Ford Focus RS > Cobalt SS

  • that, i agree with lol. the RS puts out around 300hp, is more solidly built and probably handles just as well as the SS does if not a little better.

So ur right in that aspec. That would probably be the only Ford i would ever buy lol

  • Cobalt SS does what it does mainly due to its light weight. Focus RS is more about new technology.

  • true, but its still the same formula...fwd, light weight, high hp, turbo 4, moderate boost....

It would be great to see a comparo between those 2 cars, i still think the #'s would be surprisingly close.

  • Its just wrong to compare a FWD to an Evo or the STi. No matter what it is especially when its a chevy. You're way off. Learn about the Evolution and the STi's history before you compare PERFORMANCE being in the range with a Cobalt.

  • it doesnt matter whether is a chevy or not. just in case u have forgotten, chevy and GM where always known for their performance cars. Now i agree, i did take it a little far saying that a 5.4sec cobalt ss can keep up with a 4.9 sec Evo, but either way u put it, the Cobalt SS turbo is not slow by any means and once u drive one all out, you'll know what i mean.

  • Yeah I didn't mean to sound like an asshole bud there really is no reason to compare cars like these. I actually like the earlier Camaro SS. I use to only love Supras and Evos and such but after doing some research on the SVT Cobra Mustang it opened my eyes to a different view of 'muscle cars'.

  • yeah i really dont like mustangs much, but i have to respect the Cobra's, they are nothing to play with. Muscle cars are cheaper to maintain, cheaper to upgrade and get more power, and just all around more exciting in my opinion. Yeah imports are light and high revving, but u just dont get the satisfation that u do from a big torqy V8 with RWD and enough weight to plant the power into the earth's core lol

  • No kidding I drove a 1988 Lincoln towncar before with 500,000+ miles on it and I was still able to run away from a Civic hahaha and that bitch weighs a ton!

  • COOL

  • l--have--that--car--l--am--16

  • Then--you--are--kinda--spoiled--:)

  • Just bought mine today. Candy white loaded. paddle shifter, cool as hell

  • thats bull. the eos is about 47000 fully loaded, and the a4 is 65000 fully loaded.

  • LOL totally agree... load of crap... the fully loaded EOS in Canada is about 45000 and the base carbriolet for the A4 is 53000... thats in canada... not saying EOS is better just saying the price is nowhere close... even the fully loaded is like 10 grand cheaper...

  • Since Edmunds is US-based, they are talking US Dollars.

  • great test.,.,

    nice car!
