" and god so loved the earth , that he sent us a prophet - wearing the bucket of pure talent , given to him by god , to bless the masses with the love that is music ""
I felt this warmth travelling down my legs while i was listening to this... I only realised after this song stopped, that I peed while listening to this song...
I'm a Pink Floyd fan myself...I don't know if there is any influence there. I've never heard the Bucket mention anything about Pink Floyd though. Two amazing guitar players...no doubt about that.
You're not crazy. I do believe you can hear Gilmour influence on this and a few other bluesier BH tunes. David Gilmour is one of my favorite guitarists, and I've only recently started listening to Buckethead since someone compared me to him.
I would not say BH is better than DG, but more versatile. Gilmour has a very distinctive style, but Buckethead plays all different styles. Both are great in different ways. One doesn't always have to be "better" than the other.
@ziggyplato i totally agree man all my friends compare players like Buckethead & Trey Anastasio and i am always like there 2 completely diff players..they are better then each other in different ways
You know...I actually disagree with you. And I respect what you said, don't get me wrong. I understand they truly are two different people. But Brian Carroll is my hero as well. He has the courage to be different from the "norm." I have so much resptect for both.
@fobsternd Giant Robot is the only album by the band Giant Robot, led by guitarist Buckethead; the album was released in 1996. Buckethead had released a solo album entitled Giant Robot in 1994, and to distinguish the two albums, fans refer to this recording as Giant Robot NTT, after the small recording company, NTT Records.

No, Buckethead's your (our) hero. Brian's just a normal guy like you and me. They're separate lives, keep 'em that way. ;D
