I'm not sure if it's the recording, or possibly a difference in styles/interpretation from a different musical time... but I'm not sure I understand the abrupt tempo change in places or the way he plays the middle accent voices (the chords under key points in the melody). But I kinda like the use of a ... roll? for the accent chords. It takes away a bit from the independence of the voices I think, but adds to the lyrical flow. And the way he hits the Aflat makes up for the independence issue.
