lol your a dumb fuck dude it depends on WHAT your racing for personally I prefer the highway over a long ass wait at the strip, so lets say 2 s14s met on the highway 1 ka24de-t and 1 with sr20det and theyre already going about 55-60mph the ka would get a good jump too about 100 a few secs faster than the sr but after that its lost all its push in that accel and the sr is gonna wipe its ass with the ka because it has more top speed or have you forgotten sr20 is 250hp

I've had both.. And the KA24DET had quite a bit more lower end torque than the SR20DET. I say its all about preferance. I don't exactly favor either of them. They can both produce huge power. KA's have just been known more as a building block and Sr is just kinda a plug and play. Ka's have been known to make in excess of 1000hp.

hacknik- There is no such thing as an S14 SR20det Redtop. S14 Sr20det valve covers are black and they are commonly referred to as a "notchtop". Although the ad title is obviously referring to it being an sr20det out of a s14 silvia.

Notchtop is on in S15 SR20. S14 Blacktop does not have variable valve timing only S15. So blacktop can be S13 & S14 also.

You can however, put a redtop valve cover on a blacktop s13/s14.
