"bodies" on mellon collie and the infinite sadness sounds like this one, but a little angrier; "siva" on the gish album is more bluesy, but rocks IMHO... a few others off the top of my head "tristessa", "Quiet", "Silverf*ck", Zero, "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", the Everlasting Gaze... a lot of their stuff is a mixture of soft/loud/fast/slow even in the same song

I didnt realize until the other day that this was on the soundtrack, it would have been good synchronicity if they had released this song as the first single.

Like I said, Linkin Park is ok. But learn to respect music's roots. The music today stems from the music of the late 80's, early 90's. Bands like Nirvana, Metalica, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, and the Smashing Pumpkins made good music great. Unfourtunatly, no band today can follow their act, so music has went downhill. Linkin Park can never be as good as The Pumpkins, so grow up and get over it.

lol, who cares? everyones music taste is different you cant say bands are 'better' than each other because they've been around for longer. Although I do prefer the pumpkins! It's silly to put music genres into a hierachy, all kinds are unique be it rap, roots, rock, pop, metal. Just like its stupid to judge someone on the music they like. That just shows a complete lack of intelligence.

thenamelessmusician i dont think they are better and you cant compare rock bands from the 80 to recent bands as in the 80s' rock music was more popular that it is today with people into rap n pop and all that crap so it is imposable to compare the two bands populatrity but if you want linkin park's meteora tour was completly sold out for all there 160 show including a stadium in brazil that had over 60-65 thousand people!

well as funny as that was! no im only sixteen but ive still heard of the smashing pumpkins, ive listned there old stuff of melon coly (or wot ever its called) and the a few of the other album. I just don't like it not everyone can so get over it, oh and the old stuff was better than there new stuff he used to be able to sing (barly) but now it there even worse!

Like I said, Linkin Park is ok. But learn to respect music's roots. The music today stems from the music of the late 80's, early 90's. Bands like Nirvana, Metalica, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, and the Smashing Pumpkins made good music great. Unfourtunatly, no band today can follow their act, so music has went downhill. Linkin Park can never be as good as The Pumpkins, so grow up and get over it.

Benjirimm is probably under the age of 18 and has never herd of "The Smashing Pumpkins" There a great band and way better then Linkin park. You're just some punk kid who doses not know real rock and only likes to the mainstream music.
Oh know if he post back where he'll probably say he is a successful 21 year old who makes 200k a year and sleeps with super models what ever you say or don't say no one will believe you base on what you said about those two bands.

I like Linkin Park as much as the next, but What I've Done is a TERRIBLE LINKIN PARK SONG!!! Their new is a disgrace to what they've done in the past. Now, Smashing Pumpkins have always and will always be great as long as Billy Corgan is at the helms. All you little kids who are going to tell me to go "fuck myself," grow up. Realize that GOOD music came before your time and the whining of emo and the ridiculousness of rap is only a sign that music has sunk to an all time low.
