I know I'm just saying in the amount of plot armor the wing boys have Kira beat in using it. Heck only super robots should have that amount of plot armor the wing boys have. but I don't dislike them either.
The last few games of this franchise featured Macross/Robotech and Voltron in case you didn't know. So yeah, Super Robot Wars feature more robot shows besides Gundam.

It does suck to fight my faves like Amuro Ray and Koji Kabuto, but it does bring an interesting challenge as to how tough they are as bosses. This also lands the possibility of series like Code Geass to be incuded in a future SRW game and having the characters take sides for a big showdown.

The reason they are fighting is because both sides were getting false reports of the other doing bad things from an apparantly trustworthy source. By the time DP comes around everyone is against it. So don't worry, they don't support Durandal.

What ticked me off was the thought that characters like Kouji Kabuto or Kappei Jin might have been derailed from justice fighters to misguided puppets in Durandal's hands. It would have been very badly out of character, since I could never imagine people like them supporting tyranny.
actually, at that point in the game, Durandal hasnt even said anything about the Destiny plan yet. The reason our guys fighting each other is because of Shin - Kira rivalry (hatred) and being fed wrong information.
It would be better if Kira Yamato pilots a battleship instead of a mobile suit.
