  • man,...this show was amazing ,....

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Hgv7Kfwph5A

check out my guitar cover for ticket to ride

  • 9 sets of ears that must be stuck on upside down, now go away people, put them on right and then come back and hit the `like` button !! thankyou and sorry about the hissy fit but it`s got to be said.

  • It's funny how Garth Brooks says "they did all"

  • Never mind the dislikes. They don't know what they say.........

I wish I could have been in this concert, I was born in the wrong decade.

But I have been to 8 concerts of Paul, and will go on two more, now in May, here in Rio!!!!!!

  • 1:03 George and Ringo talking it out.

  • @ricman68

Cant blame em , this generation does not know what real music is , they listen to hip hop and rap garbage

  • @jayven009 nicely said :)

  • 8 dislikes................how the fuck do you dislike this........must be a jonas or gaga loser

  • Garth Brooks is wondering how they kept the tempo and the harmony just right, since they could not here themselves. Answer: Ringo, Ringo, Ringo, Ringo. HE was keeping everybody on time and cueing them where the music was with his drums. If you just listen to the drums track of ANY Beatle song, you can recognize the song by just the DRUMS. Ringo has perfect solid tempo and he does not need a mechanical metronome to keep the tempo. He was literally conducting the others in the midst of madness.

  • the jonas brothers are found

they're just like the Beatles, just because girls like

    them,

but first the Beatles were not deer

secondly no one will be equal to the Beatles

what is the jonas brothers are found!

    :@

  • I don't listen to Jonas Bro.s, I just listen to music

  • 解説している声が入っていて演奏が聴きづらい。

  • I love the Beatles.

  • Love The Beatles but I will never understand why these young (and not so young) women reacted to them in such a hysterical manner. How in the world could they have enjoyed the music when it looks as though they were on a plane about to crash into a mountain?

  • I can't believe they did all that shit without monitors

  • Comparing The Jonas brother and the beatles is like comparing a Suzuki Mehran and a Ferrari F430...... lol

  • You can't compare the Beatles to the Jonas Bros., you can only contrast. Plus, the biggest that the Beatles have on those kids is that the Beatles will be remembered forever, the Jonas Bros. plus Justin Bieber and the rest is only a short term thing. Just like Nsync or the Backstreet boys, and they were even better than them. (Jonas/Bieber)

  • kewwwwwl

  • I have two daughters who were crazy about the Jonas Bros. two years ago when they were 10 and 9 years old. To my great relief, they've actually given the brothers the long walk of a short pier. My oldest actually laments that she wasn't born when I was so she could have heard so much of this great music when it was new. Even when I was going through the 1980's, I would listen to a lot of other music. But you always come back to the great recordings. In fact, my i-pod hardly has any 80's stuff.

  • 'The emotional intensity hasnot been seen before or since'

  • 5 Dislikes??? What...were these 5 just born??? OY VEY!!!

  • The ONE...The ONLY...The BEATLES!!! Can I get a Hell Yesss???

  • I was at this historic concert and it was an incredible experience for a 16 year old girl.

When they ran out onto the field toward the stage the crowd went wild and when they began Twist and Shout the fans got even louder. I had a little white notebook and wrote down each song they sang for my scrapbook. Also kept the ticket stub. The highest ticket price was $5.65 by mail. It was really warm that evening but they put on a fantastic concert. These videos really bring back memories for me.

  • @Beatles65Shea holy shit, you were there?. it must have been awesome. I was born too late, but I'm a big fan of them, I wish I could have been there, or at the hollywood bowl concert, or anywhere!.

I wish they were still around and touring, I bet music wouldn't be so crappy these days.

  • @kainthevampireduck The Beatles concert at Shea 8/15/65 was an experience I'll never, ever forget. It's etched into my mind forever. Never realized then that it would go down in history as the largest concert of its time with over 55,000 screaming Beatlemaniacs. The music, sound and excitement made it an incredible experience. Also saw them at DC Stadium the next year on 8/15/66 and there were about 32,000 fans there.

  • @kainthevampireduck Go and see McCartney when he comes. 70% of his show is Beatles stuff. And he's one of them !

  • @Antenneke I wish I could, he never came to my country, he toured the neighbour countries Argentina and Brazil, but he didn't play here in Uruguay, and I thought about going to the Argentina gigs, but the tickets were sold out , it was impossible to get them.

  • ive always wanted to do this hmhm o.k. huuuuh PAUL LOOKS LIKE MR BEAN

  • Fantastic!

  • yeah.. nothing compare to the legend..

  • Hormones times 50,000

  • I would like to give all those people who's comparing that Jonas shit to the mighty Beatles a slap in the head. 237.6 million albums sold. Beatles was our times Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi and Schubert. And as for their music Beatles music will never be forgotten.

  • The Beatles were the first boy band. Get over it and admit it.

  • @theblackcrowe2003

no, they wrote music, they played music, they created new sounds and were the first to use the studio as an instrument.

  • Why the FUCK are we talking about the Jonas Brothers on the Beatles video?? The Jonas Brothers suck, and they suck even more after they covered The Beatles" Hello Goodbye".

The Beatles are real musicians! Not like Justin Beiber, and the Jonas Brothers.

I just relized that I'm talking about the Jonas Brothers when I said why are we..opps

  • Before this concert, bands played at arenas on a rare occasion but mostly played at smaller more intimate venues. They paved the way for every group that came after them but none have remotely come close to what The Beatles accomplished. The Jonas Brothers? It's an insult to John and George's memories that this farce of a "group" are compared to the Fab 4.

  • @BaldSteve007

NEVER before was there a stadium rock concert, this here is the first one of all time, and it sold out in 17 minutes, without internet ordering.

  • @OropherThranduil

What makes this show even more impressive is the fact that were in tune and on key through the whole show despite the fact there weren't monitors around to hear themselves they had to rely on their own talent to overcome the noise and stay on.

  • @BaldSteve007

i know, i mean it's like 4 guys playing the same song on the same stage for themselfes, because they couldn't hear a note the others are playing,a nd still everythings right on the spot.

  • Well we have better seats on Youtube than if we were really there. Still wish I WAS there. But just knowing that they have played in my state makes it feel a whole world of differences.

  • the jonas brothers sing with editions to their voices. the beatles didnt edit there voices. they are true real musicians

  • @tjrocks12199 and the Joe bros STILL sound horrible!

  • i would have died to be a teen in the 60's, and go to Beatles concerts! WHY?!?!?!?

  • the jonas brothers are thre douchebags who doesnt know anything about music

the beatles are the best an they can't be compared to any other band, they're that just that good

  • people bring up "a REALLY sad excuse for a band" on The beatles' pages all the time. they dont even deserve to be mentioned on this video. come on guys. The beatles are the best, why bother? :)

  • I don't think many of us care that we're in our 60s now... because we got to be teenagers in the 60s and go to Live Beatles Concerts and all that! Truly, I wouldn't trade it for the world. ... not a chance. :)

  • @JudeWest4868 lucky!

  • I saw them live in 65 Minnesota

They were a gift from God.

  • Substitutes for religion are always fascinating - and also pathetic, of course.

  • the guitar playing on Another Girl and the outro of Ticket to Ride are both McCartney..McCartney played a lot of lead guitar on the records...the solos in Taxman and Good Morning, Good Morninng are probably two of his best!

  • BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!

  • BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!

  • the crowd sucks

  • Whenever i see a beatles performances, i always giggle at all the girls crying, but when i think about, i shouldnt, since i would be sobbing haha :)

  • garth brooks thinks hes the beatles or close to as good wake up call no one gives a fuck about garth brooks

  • @golfisgreat123 if someone asked you to comment on the Beatles and you did, would that mean you thought you were as good as them? He did nothing but compliment them...

  • for one he plays bass at Shea noone disputed that retard, but in the studio Paul played the leads.

  • The song was written primarily by John Lennon Lennon said that McCartney's contribution was limited to "the way Ringo played the drums". give him 60 percent of it... we sat down together and worked on that for a full three-hour songwriting session."[2] Lennon said the double-time ending section (with the lyric "My baby don't care") was one of his "favourite bits" in the song.[3] This song was also the first song by the band in which McCartney was featured on lead guitar.

  • mmmmm !!!! 1:23 she was hot..

it's too bad I was, well, I wasn't born for another year lol..

imagine how old and wrinkled she is now.. lol

  • George played lead on the record but he used a 12 string for that unique sound. Paul did want George to play the leads the way he envisioned but believe George played lead on Ticket To Ride. He has talked about it on many interviews. On this concert George didn't change guitars so you don't hear that distinctive sound.

  • who can even compare the Jonas brothers to the Beatles.. The Jonas brothers are so totally untalented it's not even funny. You are comapring them with the best band to ever pick up an instrument. Cmon now this is just far fetched.

  • Paul Actually Plays the lead guitar on Ticket to Ride.

  • A more convincing explanation for the change in sound is that McCartney, normally their bassist, was playing lead guitar, and he also directed Ringo so much that Lennon later claimed, Pauls contribution was the way Ringo played the drums.

  • ahhaha no for one hes holding his bass guitar and 2 your a idiot

  • let me settle this right now.

The Beatles > The Jonas Brothers

  • ah what good music, and are you fucks seriously comparing that bullshit jonas brothers band to the beatles??! WAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?

  • snowball your fuckin gay shut the fuck up kid nobody gives a shit i can to fuck

  • The funny thing is, I've known this song ever since I was born, for some reason, and I can play guitar and sing to it perfectly. Weird, huh?

  • Who's playing the lead guitar in this? John or George?

  • well john's playing his 12 string rickenbacker in this so George is playing lead.

  • The Beatles "The Most Awesome Band Ever" !!! ;)

Thanks 4 the post. Cheers!!! :)

  • lol. 1:03-1:07 George is like

    "how you doing back there"

    "I'm good. thanks for asking"

  • LOL!!! I KNOW RIGHT!!!

  • Jonas who ?

  • pure genius...the beatles are awes.

    can't be topped!

  • Don't yell at the poor guy just because he likes the Jonas Brothers. Yes, the Beatles are the best band in history, and yes the Jonas Brothers will never in a million years even come close to the musical skill and awesomeness of the Beatles, and yes I really really really hate the Jonas Brothers. But all he said was they both had screaming fans, which is a true fact, so give him a break.

The Beatles are still better, though. ;)

  • I'm so fuckin' tired of hearing people compare the Jonas Bro.s to the Beatles.......THERE IS NO COMPARISON !!!!!!

  • Jonas Bros.? Who the hell are they?

  • jonas brothers=de-evolution

  • @bigqwertycat WTF????

  • @oldwatchman , exactly

  • @oldwatchman They ARE THE WORST BAND EVER!!!!!

  • @oldwatchman you just dishonored the history of music >.>

  • @tasteofmadness Comparing them to the Jonas Brothers, how dare you? -.-

  • It;s a totally ludicrious ridiculous, inaccurate ignorant comparison! As a poster REverend Rock who is a Reverend & a Rock musician & a big Beatles fan said on a classic rock site a few years ago, anyone who knows The Beatles history knows it's ludicrious to even suggest that The Beatles, who were always a Great True Rock Band, were ever a "boy band"! WAtch The Beatles Anthology video series which is on here as well or read any good reputable Beatles biography & learn.

  • As a musician said on a message board last year in a review of the new John Lennon biography John Lennon:The Life, watch The Beatles Anthology and see how truy immensely taented this band was.

  • @MrUnderdog1970

    apples and oranges

seriously, people aren't being original, OR insightful, OR making any kind of point when they compare the two

    !

  • @MrUnderdog1970 Who are the Jonas Brothers?

  • @MrUnderdog1970 YOU SO FUCKING RIGHT!!!!

  • @MrUnderdog1970 ....and the Jonas Brothers will NEVER write a Sgt. Pepper-esque album. Oh yeah, end of comparison? I think so....lol

  • @MrUnderdog1970 stupid people can't look past the screaming girls thing, so, they say "gee, that group makes girls scream, they are like the Beatles".

    WRONG.

The Beatles are a real band, not a made-up marketing thing aimed at 14 years old girls, they made their own songs, they played their instruments for real both live and in the studio, they sung for real, and their stuff was very different and revolutionary. you could say they single-handedly invented what we take for granted in rock!

  • @MrUnderdog1970

Yeah! Tell them, man! There's no freaking comparison! Jonas Brothers? Please!

  • @MrUnderdog1970 Wow a jonas bro. comment haven't seen those in awhile. Oh wait it was a year ago nvm. now it's all Justin Bieber comments.

  • Comment removed

  • true.

But the Beatles are still better cause the Jonas Brothers failed in their movie unlike the Beatles with A Hard Day's Night and their other music videos.

  • There is abosultely no comparison between The Beatles and Jonas Brothers. John, George, Paul, and Ringo were the greatest gifts England ever gave us.

  • Yes, and The Beatles were a *TRUE GREAT ROCK BAND EVEN IN THEIR EARLY DAYS!

They gave up touring because of the primitive limited sound systems in those days, with only 100 watt amps made especially for this concert, instead of the only 30 watts they had until then, without any feedback monitors so they couldn't even hear themselves sing & play, plus all of the screams drowning out their great music.

They were true great rock artists & wanted their great music heard

  • and appreciated. It would have been = to teenagers screaming at a Beethoven or Mozart concert.

Roger Daltry said in an online interview,Roger's Journey With The Who by Simon Cosyns & he asked Roger if The had screaming girls in their early years.Roger said after Can't Explain they did &that it was the screaming era every band had on the way up,he said it was fun but the trouble for a performer when your that young & inexperienced you start to judge your performance by the

  • amount they scream.Roger then said it's nonsense which is why Lennon gave up.John says in his 1975 Tomorrow Show interview that the screaming wasn't doing the music any good,& that things would break down & nobody would even know.

Roger Daltry also said that The Who's manager in their early days changed their image from rockers to mods because he thought it would make them more popular.Similar to The Beatles manager creating their fake cleaned up image & The Rolling Stones "bad"

  • "boy" image was largely created & exaggerated for them by their manager. As some Rolling Stones fans who are also Beatles fans said on several Rolling Stones fan boards, said,The Beatles were just as wild with drugs & sex with many young groupies,in their personal lives as The Rolling Stones & that their cleaned up image was a fake one created by their manager in their early days after they played 8 hours a night in German clubs, taking spped to stay awake wearing black leather

  • I meant they were taking speed pills to stay awake & to play 8 hours a night for 2 years straight. After they made it big during their touring years, they were even more wild going to bed with tons of young women groupies many underrage teens like in their concerts.

The Beatles were thrown out of a Hotel rom during the month of this concert because was found with an underrage girl in his room. The Beatles & The Rolling Stones were good friends with them & John & Paul wrote 1 of The

  • Rolling Stones first hits,I Wanna Be You're Man in late 1963 John & Paul wrote it right in front of them & they were impressed that they could right a song just like that & it inspired them to write their own songs too.

Also it's really amazing that John & Paul were already writing hits for other artists as early as 1963 when their own success as song writers was getting off the ground. They wrote hits for BillyJ.Krammer & The Dakotas,Cillia Black,Peter & Gordon etc.

  • Can you even call that thing they did a movie?

  • sorry, then. :)) let's just say it was a flunk.

  • the first movie was pretty fun. Kind of a mockumentury.

  • No sorry, you couldn't be more terribly wrong! If you watch The Beatles Anthology video series & or read any good reputable Beatles biography, you would know that it's really ridiculous & untrue that The Beatles were ever a "boyband" like a true one like the Jonas Brothers!

As a poster on a classic rock site,Reverend Rock who's a rock musician & a Reverend, & big Beatles fan said, anyone who knows The Beatles history knows who ludicrious it is to even suggest

  • afaik the beatles also had many male fans. i think there arent that many boys who like jonas brothers^^

  • Contrary to all you old timers I was born in the 90's and thanks to technology I can see the concert without the hassle of lines and drunk ppl. Not saying this is better but with that shitty sound system they had then its not like you could hear anything.

  • on the beatles rock band this song with the shea stadium animation and all that is much harder than they do it in this live version beacuse its always harder live and beatles rock band its like the studio version so its much harder.

  • I was soooooo lucky to see these guys in person 9 times!!!!

It's okay to be 61 years old now 'cause I was blessed to be a teenager in the 60s!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!

    :)

I spent the day at the World's Fair directly across from Shea and then that night... MAGIC with THE BEATLES!!!!!! :)

  • I was six when I saw them on Ed sullivan for the first time. I'm a Beatle baby. I grew up with them. They are part of my life. They are in my blood. I know EVETHING ABOUT THEM.....

  • @LennonMeringuePie x3

My mum grew up singing her little Beatles songs and then when she had her first two kids, the oldest was the one to pink up on the beatles love, I mean, she was even born when Here Comes the Sun started playing. :O

The love has been passed on to me, and I am absolutely obsessedddd.

Cute as hell username btw :DDDDD

  • Damn you!! :P lol

  • @JudeWest4868 you are the luckiest person. EVER :) i would kill to see the beatles, damn me for being 16

  • I would have cried and screamed! I mean to be in there very presence would be overwhelming and exciting.

  • @Shinollama I would've dropped dead at the first little smile they would give. xDDD

  • SON LO MEJORES LOS AMOZ

  • On a scale never matched before or since ! Astoundingly phenomenal.

  • Search Google Images for MBE and it doesn't look a thing like a simple sheriff's star. It's quite an elaborate shape with four fleur de lis surrounding a central circle. So it looks more like a fancy cross than a star -- four points, not five.

  • some actually fainted lol

  • SON LOS MAS GRANDES DE LA HISTORIA

  • OMFG the girls are freaking out

  • they really DID IT ALL!

  • Wowsaaaa

  • Waww :O That is life!

  • idolos

  • WoW! Thats Beatlemania!

look at the girl in the last seconds who got dizzy! Krass!

  • The power within that context is brutal in its force and gentle with its artistic feel.

And like a warm front and cold front when they collide its a storm and in this case a storm of historic proportions.

Throw in the war and the civil rights movement and think about all that while you quietly listen to A Day in the Life

  • If you lived it you know it

it cant be re-created thats true thats life

but sit back and relax and try and feel what it was like to be so new, the rock the roll, the girls, the people who wanted to be you, hang with you, America/tv coming of age.

  • Beatles.....in sherrifs outfits, pretty damn goofy....how "rebellious". Thanks Eppy, great call!

  • LOL They weren't wearing sherriff's outfits you dolt, they had on some trendy/groovy outfits (for that time) and they were wearing their MBE medals that they had just been recently awarded.

  • Hello:

The Beatles were not wearing their MBE's silly-it was just a star. An MBE is not designed to be worn.

The jackets were in the Nehru style, very hip for the time.

  • You're mistaken. Just google Beatles MBE images, you'll see many pics of The Beatles holding up their MBE medals. And yes, they are wearing their MBE medals at the Shea Stadium concert.

  • SHUT UP EVERYBODY, STOP WORRYING ABOUT OTHERS OPPINIONS!

    just enjoy it!!!

and the fans are hilarious haha

    amazing live preformance!

  • Here's the deal on this one kids. Obviously The Beatles were a great live band, but the actual audio track from this show was rendered useless due to the arduous recording conditions. They went into Twickenham film studio in early Jan. of '66 and re-recorded almost all of the audio track while watching the video on a giant screen to try and keep it in sync. George Martin set up just two mic's about 10 feet in front of the band to make it sound "live". BSP

  • Continued: Ringos "Act Naturally" couldn't be salvaged and the studio version was dropped in and horribly edited to keep it in sync with the video. Source: The Complete Beatles Chronicle by Mark Lewishon. BSP

  • Wow! - I never knew that and I think know a lot of beatles trivia...I had indeed wondered how such a good recording existed with respect to the fact that they reportedly could barely hear themselves and also were playing through the stadium's PA...that explains it ;)

  • Hey johnbanshee1, yeah I wasn't really surprised when I read that. It is so obvious when you watch it now, everything looks so fucked up and out of sync. I knew I smelled shit when I watched if for the first time, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Now we know LOL!! It doesn't matter though, they were the best band, live or in the studio, that will ever exist. THE BEATLES will live forever. BSP

  • One more thing. The union demanded that the lads use the "House PA System", which consisted of a 50 watt Bogen amp and a bunch of shitty sounding Atlas bullhorns!! "Batter up" LOL!! I think I have WAY too much spare time LOL!! BSP

  • If you watch at 1:42, Lennon and Mccartney are both clearly lip syncing.

  • no they aren't...wtf

  • Sorry to tell you that like many groups from the era, the Beatles lip synched on many of there television appearances. It's been well documented in books and even by the band itself, look it up.

This performance looks to me like it was lip synched as well.

  • well duh they lip synched a lot. but no, this wasn't. look it up.

  • you also have to realise that VH1 just put clips together at the end. watch the original performance on Beatles Anthology or something. they aren't lip synching.

  • Not on Shea Stadium. That was a concert not a television appearence, many of their t.v appearences in were lip synched, others however were not. The Beatles never lip synched live, they strongly felt it was cheating.

  • 1:42 isn't any indication of lip-syncing. It's just poor film editing. You see there is an obvious cut to another camera angle, and they are singing one of the previous lines of the song. Remember, the song goes "She's gotta ticket to ride. She's gotta ticket to ri-hi-hide. She's gotta ticket to ride, but she don't care. At 1:42 when you see them move away from the mike, they were singing another part of the song, or possibly another song altogether. You'd have to ask whoever edited the footage.

  • your right. and i heard that the concert anly lasted 30 minutes

  • you can tell that they are losing there voicies becasue they are singing so loud

  • no theyre singing so loud because there were soooooooo many people there and almost every single one was screaming

  • what does garth brooks know about crowd reactions? haha

  • of all beatles it is Goerge Harrison who is the true cutie and handsome guy. Humble. loves God. All missed his mesmerizing eyes and smile so lovely. he is truly a cutie. best lead guitarist. and underrated musician. I juts love Goerge so much. His life was meaningful.i agree with everybody that he is the real cutie and most handsome beatle. He is the best ever. BEATLES band is the best band in the world ever. their music is worth remembering cannot be forgotten. timeless and classic.

  • @lightyears888 Yeah, but it's not just one who was the 'true cute factor'

There's John with his humor and cute little grin.

There's Paul with his boyish looks.

There's George with his lovely voice and amazing guitar playing.

And then Ringo with the smiley face :D

    I love them alllll.

I hope there is a heaven, because when I die and get there, Geo and Johnny would be there. And I would hug them both xO

    -rant-

  • hahah primitive equipment

  • Fool..if not for the "primitive" equipment we would have advancements we have now, besides the tables would be turned when people from the future looked back and make fun of the equipment we use now.

  • it is most certainly not garth brooks who is better than the beatles not just an opinion but many facts which i could go on all day naming. ooo Erix7810>you fail, you fail real good and get ur shit straight before u come up to the plate with me :0

  • it is most certainly not garth brooks who is better than the beatles not just an opinion but many facts which i could go on all day naming. ooo Erix7810>you fail, you fail real good and get ur shit straight before u come up to the plate with me :0

  • @Erix7810

    Garth Brooks < Bee Gees

    xDDDD

Bee Gees were one hit wonders, btw.

So darlin' don't go running up to the Beatles lovers, because they will attack your ass so fast it'll make your hillbilly head spin.

  • I jsut dont understand how one hit wonders can be so popular

  • One hit wonders? I really hope that you are joking & or being sarcastic! Not only were they very innovative, creative, especially John Lennon & Paul McCartney,& great singers, with great voices, very good musicians, but wrote like a million # 1 hit songs & albums, are the most popular, critically acclaimed & covered artists ever!

  • the beatles would eat you like some sort of bowl of soup....possibly porridge

  • wow these comments turned out to be lovely. =D

  • I don't see what is so over rated about them.

  • theyre underated you fuckin hater

  • Why do you bother watching it then post immature comments like that? Keep your opinions to yourself loser.

  • fuck you FUCK you

  • Sounds like you don't get it dude! The Beatles were the first. If not for them, you'd be listening to Verdi...
