@kabulpersian What you state used to be correct. Tajikistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, ... and all the other countries next to Iran USED to be a part of Persia. They're now their own countries therefore NOT Persian. Fars and Pars are the same, the name taken from the state of Fars which is in the center of Iran.

@di89meganew Dari is a dialect of the Persian language. "Afghan Persian" would make sense; "Persian" refers to Farsi. Go read some books.
