  • Beautiful, it is just beautiful and majestic and grande..... I LOVE Virgil Fox's version of this particular piece. Thank you Giovanni Danda!! I could listen to this all day and night. And of course, only on a pipe organ. ; )

  • Magnificent!

  • funny, im an atheist and i like this kind of music

  • GRANDIOSO

  • A beautiful work, but I think the title is wrong; it should be "Now Thank We All Our God"

  • This is such a great song by him.

  • Amazing, thank you!!!

  • Wonderful performance of yet another Bach masterpiece!

  • Ein wundervolles Werk wundervoll gespielt!

  • Die Orgel, "Königin der Instrumente"! Grazias, Vigil Fox & Giovanni Danda! Incredibile!

  • Damn, I miss Virgil so much it hurts. No musician ever came close. His version of Bach's "Come Sweet Death" on the Wannamaker organ in Philadelphia, to me, was a personal audience with my God. (At the AOG Convention tried to discourage him from doing it saying, among other things that it was boring, a worthless project and couldn't be done. It only took Fox two weeks of practice on the Wannamaker. To me, that is his masterwork. You can order this very trippy video online.

  • thank you god for this wonderful musik and this wonderful organ

  • I think the word is bravissimo (?) my italian is not so good, but I like it a lot. New idea for my funeral music! (meant as a compliment,,,

  • バージル・フォックスのオルガンは実にすばらしい。

  • do you have the sheet music, or do you know where i could get it???

  • Beautiful! Thank-you.

  • THIS IS MIND-BOGGLING! THANK YOU. CAROLYN 52

  • Ihr amis glaubt auch noch das Bach ne Sonnebrille hatte. very good üplaying :-D although

  • Good arrangement!

  • Dear old Virgil he left some legacy didn't he ! You did him proud Giovanni. Just lovely listening to you play. Your posts are always rewarding, thank you for sharing.

  • GRANDIOS !!!!!!

  • Uplifting grandeur !! Awesome!

  • Heavenly!!!

  • Excellent!

What a wonderful transcription of a superb sinfonia!

  • Fantástico!!!!!

  • Hey this arrangement is an evergreen. Love Your humouristic pictures, Bach with suglasses or virgil with a painters hat.:-)

  • What a splendid performance!......you are extremely talented. Virgil was not afraid to put music to a test on the organ......his musical structures were magfnificent...and he delighted millions of people whether playing Bach, Vierne, Boelmann, Widor or Franck...and thanks to him....YOU get to play his arrangements!

  • What a wonderful piece! So much better than other transcriptions.

Virgil was so much fun. Sorry that he died.

I play this for people who hate organ music.

    "on Hauptwerk system"?

  • This is wonderful

  • Bach was God's frontman-music to God for us

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • Supered

  • I love this version better than opther's. Too bad Virgil Fox is gone.......he had quite a gift! We saw him in in concert here with his Rodger's Organ. He had people up dancing a gig ij the isles. Marvelous!

  • Listen to the brass registers!!!

  • Most enjoyable; some very interesting organ cases shown. Maybe if Bach indeed had those shades, his eyesight may have held out a little longer!

  • Ciao Giovanni=) Cerco questo spartito da tempo ma ancora non lo trovo... potresti inviarmelo??? Grazie mille=)

  • This is beautiful, thank you.

  • Very well done indeed. I especially like your picture of Bach wearing sunglasses.

  • ..the genius of Bach on a twenty-first-century instrument. WELL done, Giovanni. Makes me regret not continuing my piano lesons as a kid. Also blown away by Hauptwerk software. The Litomysl software is the best i've heard so far. Thanks again, and keep uploading!!!

  • This is not Bach, it is POP song...

  • Very beautiful! The tempo, the choice of registers, all perfect! I really feel love in this piece. Flawless performance!

  • omg i love you giovdan, great clip, and thanks for uploading.

  • lol 2:22 so many keyboards!

  • @trelokamenos It is the Wanamaker organ!

  • This is one of my favorites. Outstanding performance Merci!

  • Absolutamente maravilloso; compositor, organista y arreglista. Gracias por subir esta verdaderamente música.

  • absolument génial!!

  • wonderful, you did Virgil,Bach and music proud with this recording.

  • Finally, someone plays this at a tempo this is MUSICAL! Loved it!

  • Thanks!

  • :O :| XP Аминь!

  • The angel's Last Trumpet will be a whisper compared with this! What a massive sound. Blows your socks off. New piece to me and glad I discovered it. Wow, coudn't type any more till it had finished! Marvellous stuff.

  • I've always loved this arrangement of this hymn. Great job - thanks for posting!

  • This is the new virtual organ sample set by Jiri Zurek using Hauptwerk software

  • I grew up in Virgil Fox's hometown, Princeton, Illinois. When I was in high school, he returned, and they gave him the key to the city.

  • Comment removed

  • Not only was he very talented, also a great witness of the Christian religion.

  • That organ needs to be tuned!

  • Although I may have not known Virgil Fox, I still believe he was a kind, gentle, and admirable man. Virgil Fox had a warped sense of humor, that almost all liked. May he rest in peace, and God bless his works!

  • Bach muy bueno y la transcripcion para organo tambien. bonito tu canal

  • BRAVO MIESTRO!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!

  • WOW! That trumpet that comes in . . . !

  • Very good performance Mr. Danda, very good.

  • Almost better performed than Fox himself!

Virgil kept brushing adjacent notes (same places where I did) but Virgil did not clean up his "disgrace notes".

Had this continued to build a little more, becoming brash, it would have been better than Fox!

    Dislike the "ta da" athend.

  • Thanks for the recording, I'm a good friend of Andy Crows who toured with Virgil when he toured with the Rogers Organ Company, thanks again

  • Spectacular performance Giovanni of Virgil Foxs' arrangement of Bachs' Sinfonia Cantata BWV 79. You are an awesome organist! :o)) Thanks for posting all your wonderful videos. Happy New Year to you and your family. Sei un mito!!

    Best Regards,

    Roy

  • phantatsisch!

  • Eccezionale! Bravo!

  • I listen to pieces like this, and convince myself bach thought of music much more than a science. It feels like god was his 100 percent inspiration. Of course i would never know bach's intentions. Thank you for the beautiful music.

  • I would like to get hauptwerk working but I need a midi organ :(

  • just time! maravilloso inspirador y glorificante

  • this is just perfect... really big thanks!

  • You have great talent and a fine instrument. I am grateful to you for posting your music. 5-star performance! BRAVO!

  • Half a century ago--well, almost--Virgil tripped the main D.C. breaker on a 4/64 Moller at a concert at my school in Chicago. I had to sneak into the chambers and turn it back on. I wasn't supposed to have a key, but if I hadn't had one that would have ended the program. In spite of his flamboyant showmanship he was a consummate musician. Hauptwerk Virtual Organs amaze me! Gotta have it!

  • Bravissimo!! You have me in tears!

  • bella la foto iniziale come posso averla??

  • Semplice, vai su google, digita J.S.Bach, clicca su immagini!

  • Love it...

  • Bravo Maestro!!!! I loved it!!! I'm learning this piece myself and love Bach!!!!! LOVE virgil's arrangement!!!

    Again, Braco, Motto Graci!!!!!

  • Bravissimo Maestro Danda, bellissimo pezzo e ottima esecuzione!!

    Gabriele
