  • Im sitting at about 3050 without me in it. the car has about 375 to the tires. ive got no cats, 3" exhaust, underdrive pulley, headers, factory ls6 intake, ported tb, and the lingenfelter gt2-3 cam (forced induction cam). ive got a magnacharger that im throwing on there soon.

  • @firechicken76 damn that sounds freak'n nice man! definitely looking forward for that video!!

  • nice setup you have there, im liking the gauges! ive got an 88 gta, 02 ls1/t56/9". id say a good guess on your HP would be about 325 to the tires.do you know what your car weighs? check out my vids.

  • Hey bud!! Super nice job. I just got a 91 GTA and am putting in a LQ4 with 80e behind it. and am trying to stray away from getting my harness retrofitted to work with stock cluster. Could you by chance tell me the part number of your cluster pod nd gauges and how you hooked them up? Am i in the right ball park? As in not having to retro fit my stock LQ4 harness to work with it?

  • @Travlsx the gauges work by themselves and use the signals without using the ECM. ex the thermostat has to be installed in the cylinder or in the water pump (these gauges are VERY PRECISE) you shouldnt have alot of problems with the signals if you hook them up individually to their respective gauges, then your gonna have to calibrate them. its a long and tedious process, i know! unfortunately they are all DIGITAL, so if you have a mechanical sensor i recommend going thru dakota digital to fix it

  • does a 350 fit right into the 2.8l v6 89 rs? i wonna drop the v6 for a v8 the guy i got it from said a 350 would fit right in without having to change the transmission

  • @rptryhard a 350 would fit very nicely into our 3rd gens. if your crazy and want to go bigger it is possible as well like for example a 427 with little modifications. is yours a auto or t5? if you got a 5spd you cant put in long tubes due to clearance issues since our cars are naturally low and the driver side header hits the hydraulics of the tranny. good luck and sounds like a nice summer project!

  • Can you keep the AC if you want to with one of these swaps?

  • @mgg4591 u sure can! there are a couple of ways u can have A/C. u can notch your K-member to place the compressor to its original location, or you can buy brackets to sit them higher to the engine.you need some relocation brackets obviously. i installed mine just recently and worked well! the only thing is that i have a bad compressor. got the ac lines thru hawks. but you can always go to a performance shop to get ya some custom lines. hope i helped!

  • Really nice bro really nice and where did you get the dash and did you get the tubalar k member at hawks or at jegs????? Great car bro I have the same one about to do the same project

  • @d16z6civic305 thanks man! got the dash thru summit, i got the k member thru sphon.com definately make a vid on the swap! enjoy watching our 3rd gens getting nice upgrades! ALSO how our cars have a one of a kind look like todays vehicles that pretty much look the same now-a-days.

  • Hey good job there !!! Cool !!!!

  • Nice car! The engine probably took off like 100-200 pounds.

  • @z28427 thanks man! it has sure shed some pounds! it is due for a front alignment cuz the noze is lifted from going to iron to alum. and also installing a tubular K-member. im just glad im not losing to them imports now and keeping up with them 5th gens!

  • hey im doing a ls1 swap and i need a small air filter like that one can you tell me where you got it pls and sweet car

  • @hulk3606 i got the air filter thru, wait for it... pep boys. they got this brand called "spectre" and thats where i got the 4 inch 90' elbow and filter. they have alot of mix and match pieces.. i spent like 50$ on the setup now.. but once i get the battery in the trunk, im gonna move the filter there.. u can also buy more parts from spectre thru summit. i just needed that CAI that day.

  • how hard was this swap and where did you get the conversion parts. how much did it cost?

  • @bikecrazydan hey man... it wasnt that hard. installed the engine, tranny, pretty muche everything except the wirring. got the headers, tranny crossmember and e-brake cables thru hawks third gen site, the k-member from sphon, and the rest with summit (fuel regulator, throttle cable, etc..) the install was easy! everything was bolt on. the wirring i did send it to a shop to get it wired. spending i say between 5-10k$. shoot me an e-mail if you need nore info, be gld to help out!

  • @TheMorbital okay thanks for all the information.

  • What modding did you have to do to get the gauge panel in? That looks amazing.

  • @CarnageChaosCustoms it was actually a simple bolt on. got the panel thru summit.

  • @TheMorbital

If I get a third gen I just may have to copy it lol

the 1990 camaro will always be my favorite.

  • @CarnageChaosCustoms '90 camaro huh? i wouldnt mind replacing my chin spoiler to the 90-92 models. the lip sticks down and looks more agressive.

  • no, i got these thru summit, including the gauge panel.

  • are those gauges from Hawks site?
