It's sad that the producers modified and controlled Bob Marley's music. I would have like the pure versions of the well-known songs. It's sad that it's like that.

Pay attention to what Bunny has to say starting at 6:28 min. They kept the "basic reggae principles" and added details in order to "attract the international market place." Brilliant move, without it there probably wouldn't have been a reggae artist as Bob Marley.

When I first heard Catch A Fire, I knew I was listening to a great album. I had no idea how much work and overdubs were put into this recording. Play this album with any other record, and you'll realize that you're listening to a work of art. Sometimes we forget that even the great Catch A Fire, didn't take the world by storm. This album remains as a classic, by any standard.
