  • I've read that the breaks are no good on the outlander 400, is it true? Is it dangerous in difficult terrain?

  • @Lenar2541 the brakes are good, i have the 1st gen 400 outlander max xt and the brakes are great and there is alot of engine braking too

  • watch the dude on the can am at 45 seconds.....lol

  • @sportsman335 Before making comments you had better do a little research. Visco Lock has been around for a few years. And you are incorrect as to how it works. Do some reading before berating others. BTW I have a 650 HO XT. Can - Am is a beast!

  • which ones the outlander 400

  • @dodgestrength the one that beat the other one out of the mud

  • haha bombardier is better...polaris sucks look at the front end on a bombardier and a polaris the front end on the polaris the spring on the polaris let out and the front end bends down and doesnt keep the tires vertical plus the front diff on polaris dont lock up as well

  • @mudbug100 your smoking crack huh, polaris is full locking and i know mine has never ever slipped and or spun only 3 wheels, plus i dont have to wait for visco lock its immediate

  • @sportsman335 as if i was quaddin with a friend and we were going threw thick shit like silt and clay and he had tires that dont grip worth a shit and the front diff was turnin both wheels just one....with stock tires they were pretty much bald and it couldnt turn both...while i had mud-lite and i had my front diff locked up going threw it no problem!

  • @sportsman335 ur a fucking idiot i have a outlader that thing ripes shit up the visco lock comes on like 2 sec after ur wheel isnt spinning so u dont do enything and diff lock u need to put in defore and it fucks up ur quad if turning or enything

  • @xxrunescapexx456 that is most definitely a lie unless you have a 2011 outlander, and on the difflock thing idk if you are aware or not but polaris isnt always diff locked, it only kicks in when the rear wheels slip a fraction, so when turning it doesn't do shit :) have a nice day

  • @sportsman335 bull shit

  • @mudbug100 Polaris are best known as their 4x4 comparing to Can Am. Polaris has all on demand 4x4, which pretty much no differential, it spins all the time all four tires. Can Am has visco-lock which is a differential that always delay for about five to ten seconds in front left tire. There's many videos that will show that.

  • @joshiesworld That's the older visco lok ... the new QE engages pretty much immediately. My 2011 does anyway. And my buddies PoPo unlocks at a certain speed (higher speed, I can't remember) whereas the Visco stays in 4x4 at any speed.

  • @luvmyctd That's probably how I knew about visco-lok by the older model of Can Am. But I do know that Polaris don't unlock at certain speed. It locks all the time. I own a 2010 Polaris Sportsman xp 550 efi and there's options on the handlebar you can choose it as one with differental locking or with locking. There's 3 options such as 2x4, 4x4 (which is basically differential) and then 4x4 locking. But on the switch of 4x4 locking, all of 4 wheels never slips.

  • k so tell me how my 03 outlander 400 kicks the shit outts a 2009 polaris 500?????? suck it polaris fans

  • @pinkneonboy polaris = awesome on rocks +mountains

  • I like how all u guys are trying to come up with excuses on how your piece of shit polaris lost

  • polaris should of won!He was in a deeaper mud hole.

  • 100cc less and still won can am rocks polaris can suck my left nut

  • @jon35732 r u stupid?? in this shit the 100cc less dont fucking matter..its the driver and tires!!!

  • k well sure can am won but the polaris is a taller bike and the water was definately over 3/4 of the tire and the can am was half-way up the trie for a good chunk of that hole. just putting it out there...

  • looser can-am fan you suck

  • thats right polaris sucks, canam rules all

  • the polaris was also around 2000 and the can-am was like a 2006 ..alot happens in 6 years of production

  • @tipher94 ya the 4wd on popos are alot bettter..polaris is the best!

  • ok i say redo switch places and let the can am kill the polaris in the "bad line".....

  • can am flogged thats y i got 1

  • Comment removed

  • @TripJ518 yeh sure

  • Polaris should have won! summin mysterious about this vid...

  • that just shows how much better can-am is

  • that just shows how much of a better line the Can-am had

  • Just shut up and enjoy the video....

  • the rider makes the bike...the bike don't make the rider...i got a brute force 750 with 29.5" swamp lites an i eat polaris atvs an yamahas for lunch with outlawz!..riders make a difference

  • mabey, but put some oulaws on ur wheeler and i promise, swamplites suck dick, ive had both andit makes a world of difference

  • @WhisperInThaDrk i know this is an old video, but this particular comment made me laugh. i can remember when i first got my foreman 500. it was completely stock. the first week i had it, it was lifted 2" and was rolling on 27" outlaws. the very first group ride i'd ever been on, the dude behind me had 29.5 swamplites, and i was pulling him out with my tow strap all day long. you can't really compare the two tires. and rider experience helps. but, if the rider makes the bike, then outlaws help.

  • you both are gay

  • Rider ,location in water, traction, totaly makes the differance. clearly polaris should have won that race!! Polaris 850xp owner.

  • umm those where both stock atvs so they both had stock tires so same traction, can am is better clearly polaris isnt

  • I love how everyone decides to get one brand of quad, and everything that isn't made my the same manufacturer automatically is a piece of shit. I know people who've used sprotsmans for farm work, and the machines take a pretty good beating, and they still have the quad, and it still runs, and rides great.

  • that goes in every area of life. if someone has something different that me, he's a loser ( cars, clothes, computers, houses ... ) not really normal, is it ?

  • @ariel4more truly spoken. although i wouldn't have a polaris, i am die hard can-am.

i would recommend the solid axle honda's for reliability. i beat my new outtie like a rented mule and i expect someday something will break or fail, only because of what i did to it.

  • the older the better it seams now a days lol like i have two hondas for instance one is a 1995 and the other is a 2002 and the older one beats it in everything and i hardly ever have to service it and the other well its heavier than hell and have to service it all the time not to mention it is electrical shift yuck lol

  • theres proof that you guys are all tards for not buying suzuki but no lie hear i ain't a fan of either but can-am is better clearly 2 inchs mead a lot to a bunch of little brains

  • ya the polaris was ahead the whole time untill the polaris hit that freken deep hole and no drr the outlander woul go ahead when the polaris is in a half food deeper crap. nim mean seriously look at :38 the water is barely up the middle of the can-ams wheel and its almost up to the top of the wheel not good comparison.

  • look how much deeper the polaris was in at the end when the arctic cat got ahead polaris is better who cars who can go through faster when you can go deeper in a polaris.

  • Exactly. The Polaris was deeper the WHOLE way through. Especially at the end.

  • in case you didnt notice the can-am sits higher,i like both personally,i took my 500 outty everywhere a polaris 700 went there not that much diff in cc class for mud

  • arctic cats are crap polaris all the way ive owned polaris honda can am and arctic cat

  • it just depends on the rider not the machine

  • but not all of it

  • no u havent shut up

  • how the hell are you goin to tell me what i have just shut up ur a dumbass and ur not worth waisting my time to argue with you

  • obviously u do because uve answered

  • what?

  • your a moron

  • stfu bitch

  • @bballplaya123678 missed the artic cat part

  • @bballplaya123678 hey dumbass i know this comment of yours is old but its a canam not a arctic cat dumbass is says in the title

  • @jacobtraxxasman hi big tough guy your cool i dont know why i said arctic cat...

  • @bballplaya123678 sorry bad day

  • thats why i bought a 650 out lander and 800 outlander

  • the polaris was in deeper water then the outlander

  • yah it was no far they should have fallowed the same track but just time it

  • The video says it all...

  • same with me icecold on my 500 sportsman two flats and a little cracked plastic but the motor, tranny and front diff are still going strong im also coming up on my 3rd oil change im also changing the tranny fluid and front diff fluid

  • concordo,i can am sono e rimarranno sempre i migliori

  • diciamocelo...

  • opinion? mudzillas, zillas, or outlaws???? need to upgrade.

  • outlaws deff

  • After owning an outlander, i just bought a renegade, and nothing's broke except a few egos. Can-Am is the leader now, and Polaris and Yamaha engineers are working to catch up.

Video after video on you tube shows the proof, they just outproform in almost every situation.

  • just a question. i heard that the v-twins had problems with getting water in the belt housing. is this true? and if so how does it get in?

  • some of the earlier model's cvt's leak, however it's fixed for 08.

  • i have a polaris 800 with a 2" lift kit and 29.5 outlaws and i can go thruogh any thing in 2wd

  • Polaris Rules !

  • can-am is fast but thats about it. good if you just wanna play around but if you want to work, buy a polaris.

  • hahaha polaris sucks ass

  • no u suck ass

  • is that the greatest comeback u can think of? just to repeat exactly what the other person said to you? wow haha

  • haha shutup wut do u drive

  • i drive a polaris sportsman 800 efi. Absolutely amazing machine!

  • i also have a polaris sportsman 500 efi, but i drive the 800 more

  • what do u have? a tonka?

  • i have 2 polaris sportsman ones a 04 ones a 06 both 500cc they keep breaking down so i dont like them to much but i ride my 07 outlander 400 :)

  • that is really cool. i guess i just got lucky with my polaris. i have 2,500 miles and the only thing that happened negatively to it was a flat tire. lol

  • for realll? we have had so much trouble with both polaris's. ill list evertyhing if u want

  • i dont really care, but if u want to thats fine w/ me

  • ok. with the 04 polaris we replaced 3 shafts at 350$ a peice. replaced a fan at 120$.got mud all in the airbox and engine then we had to replace the oil. now the engine is seized. it has a whole where the exhaust meets the engine block so he have to replace that. and to rebuild it its gonna cost over 2 grand. now the 06 polaris we already had to replace tha starter and now it wont run if u let off the gas but that can do monster wheelies. i got it straight up so it hit the back bumper

  • wow that sucks. i also drive a 1996 polaris snowmobile and had since then and the only thing we had to do to it was replace a belt... ( and also get it serviced a few times) it still runs like new...

  • leetant, the only thing PROVEN about the outlanders, is that they are FASTER. They are inferior in belt intake design, inferior in 4x4 design, inferior in handeling. I owned one, and I'll swear on a stack of bibles the belt got wet in the rain. That visco-suck front end, bites. My bomb 650 was constantly getting stuck in areas that 400 Sportsmans had NO problems..

  • got to know how to drive

  • polaris is a good machine but they are too unreliable i'll stick with my suzuki

  • Friend has a Polaris 800 and a Canam 800. He sold the polaris and got another Canam. Said the difference is night and day. Polaris overheated in the mud all the time.

  • polaris rules

  • proven fact that can-am out performs every other atv on the market. you cant deny it or fight with it.. read around.. ride one for yourself. so arguing and saying another atv is better will get you no where... I do own a can am and have rode a polaris 700 efi and i love the polaris. but will stick with my pricier can-am.

  • my buddys made fun of me when i paid on average 2000$ more for my can-am i was the one laughing when i saw their faces after i out performed them in almost every way

  • can am suck all dey do is break

  • why not compare it to a new polaris?

  • different year of model same result

  • can-am rules all

  • can am sucks

  • no u suck

  • can-am is the best

  • lol can am rocks he even got cut off!!!

  • thats right can am is sooo much better

  • cool

  • LOL!!
