i was at faye galloway elementary in the cafeteria. they rushed us out because they thought the ceiling was going to cave in. we run outside, theres a giant mushroom cloud, they ran us right back in to the cafeteria. all the adults thought we were getting bombed.
jhendersons lives change foreever when the plant exploded then usas life changed for ever when we were terrorized and the twin towers collapsed and killd almost 3,000 people
Boy it's going to be a while before Pepcon rebuilds and gets back to busin... oh shit... it's in the States; Pepcon's going to be sued the fuck out of.
scary part is that we where in class at Burkholder jr high just a few miles up the rd. The building came down around us on the first blast and the second throw us to the ground as we ran outside.
i don't want another disaster but i sure would like to observe such a big bang from the minimum safe distance. something like that leaves an epic memory.
I was in drivers ed 10th grade when this happened. After the first explosion we were all nervous and the teacher told us to simmer down he was gonna check and see what was going on, the second blast hit. The floor felt like a wave and I watched the ceiling ripple as the pieces were falling on us. At that we all left as quickly as possible. That day was total chaos!! I remember my skin feeling like it was burning on my walk home from all the chemicals in the air. I'll never forget that day!!!
Marshmellow plant next door? Somebody REALLY wanted some smores...

@Anthonysancho only 2 guys at PEPCON died (the guy who call Las Vegas Fire Department and a guy in a wheelchair) while 372 guys got hurt.

Hey @thebycon, how could they save a nuclear bomb on fire? Don't be sarcastic. They were lucky

Ever heard of exaggeration? He was saying it was fast, try using your brains next time.
The name of the show also doesn't fit what it's about, make me think of controled explosions not going as planned.

A "high-pressure natural gas line" underneath a fireworks factory?
00bean00 11 months ago 2
@00bean00 PEPCON was not a fireworks factory. It was a rocket fuel manufacturing plant.
HankAmericanEngine 11 months ago
@00bean00 Fireworks? It was a jetfuel factory that manufactured jet fuel for the space shuttle.
xrobwx 7 months ago
@xrobwx Yes, someone explained that. I forgot, didn't know, or possibly mixed it up with another accident.
