@TorpeAlex Either Spiderwaffle uses a mod to minimize the useage of Sprint just to give boost for the bunny hopping. Yes you can move this fast just by jumping, all games made today have some sort of anti-bunny hopping implemented, but HL2 wanted to keep the original touch to the game. And this guy is insanely good at controls in FPS, no wonder he doesn't lose speed when he bunny hops.

right click the game in steam > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache

There should be 1 or more files missing, and it'll automatically re-download those. You should then be able to play.
