  • Happy to see this video is not made by that guy motherboardsorg's Channel man he's just so anoying to listen to and he shows you like 35% of what we want to know .. lacking a good review. Man motherboardsorg's Channel sucks ass..

  • Im sorry, but how can anybody play a game at 25 fps and think that it´s good? Don´t play a single game unless i can V-sync it at 60fps with 2560x1600. If it doesn´t run proper, then a either turn the damn thing off or upgrade my comp.

  • @isaac3newton

Not everyone has such a big budget... Not everyone has to have 2 or 3 GPU's in his/her pc ;)

    Remember, this is crysis...

  • also another thing go buy ur 24gigs aof ram and fancy quadcore i7 i will have amd

and use the rest of the money for beer and maybe going out ohh and a hefty gpu or two at the same time

  • AMD:GAMING ,3D Applications , Servering (Gaming+Servers)

    INTEL:Operating Systems,Photo Editing, (Home)

  • HAHAhah dont make me laugh

    AMD is better than INTEL?

1090t is better than 980x extreme edition?

AHAHAA we arent speaking of money, we are speaking of processors

    PS: amd sucks

  • @1563097505 this guy makes me laugh fucking fanboy.

i own an am3 system myself with a 955 be @4.5ghz with a 5850 and i manage speeds beyond what this dick is saying fuck off with ur i7 dog shite no one cares.

we will see who has best when i get 3 more cards on my 790fx-gd70 from msi.

ps: u suck u trolling prick

  • @MrMike655

your 955 is better than my i7 950?

    again, dont make me laugh

and if ur 955 is better is only for the OC (but still worse)

without OC my intel fucks ur amd

WE ARE SPEAKING OF PROCESSORS, NOT OF GRAPHICS CARDS

admit that Intel is better than amd

  • @1563097505 still dont get my point i use my pc for gaming it will flaw urs u asshole in games

try beating my price/performance u bell end.

what a twat let me guess ur american (says it all)

i love overclocking and have pushed 4.9ghz on phasechange so far

i would love to see u do what amd does for us ocers

    what a cock

  • @MrMike655 ok, but there is a little thing u dont understand..

    we r talking about processors.

we arnt talking of graphics cards, prices, gaming pcs, OC, etc

    of processors anything more.

i use my pc for gaming 2.

  • @1563097505 if u look its a vid about crysis and im havin a go at u cos u are a fanboy of intel thinking ur so clever no offence but i think ur a cunt now please listen and go troll elsewhere

  • @MrMike655 im a fanboyof intel and you a fanboy of amd, yes, i like trolling, but you reply my coment first. you troll.

  • i5 for gaming i7 for gaming, video editing and photo editing

  • Comment removed

  • is that cryis warhead ????

  • @manox1337 Yes it is.

  • well, intel is better

  • AMD/ATi is especially good for overclocking. :)

No Nvidia Card/Intel CPU can beat them with that. Tho stock they may be somewhat better at things like rendering etc. When it comes to gaming you can't notice the difference. Also they always cost 2x as much. :/

  • MY config:

    AMD 64 X2 6000+ /Dual core 3 Ghz/

    Gigabyte hd 5850

    2Gb ddr2 ram

    Crysis warhead:

    Euthaniast, 1920*1080,8xaa = 30FPS

  • what's more needed when u got high performance parts on ur computer? Gaming requires high performance so it isnt that bad.

im actually building a new computer today, i7-930/ASUS deluxe v2 mobo/geforce GTX 460/6gb RAM... that should be a little overboard but about a year... not so much.

upgrading graphic card from the RADEON HD 4650.

what im saying... high performance or gaming... r close together... if u dont build ur comp for any of that... its not a gaming comp. my opinion though :P

  • Intel is not for gaming

Even though they know Intel processors are not for gaming why do they buy Intel!!!!!

Buy an amd processor for gaming and ati card for best performance of nvidia

If you want a pc for other works than gaming then go for intel!!

  • @HookahReview i5 can run Crysis just as well as the i7. You also do not need anywhere near 6GB RAM, you can probably max out settings with a 2GB system.

Whose PC performs better will be determined by the GPU. If he has a 5870, 4870x2, 5900-series, or comparable Nvidia card, my bet's on him.

  • you can use a dual core or a quad core for crysis you dont need those expensive i7s or i5s

  • @HookahReview MSI is lame especially with their lame afterburner crap. sapphire and xfx ftw.

  • @HookahReview we know that in games ,gpus are more demanding ,no matter you have amd or intel processor, you need a good gpu for good performance.

  • 5850 and 5770 best cost/performance of the market

  • Get a better processor, it will help. This result isn't really that great for a HD 5850.

  • The i7 has turbo boost, so with something like the i7 860 you'll be running somewhere around 3.2-3.3 Ghz since most games don't use 4 cores. More if you OC it.

  • Your CPU is bottlenecking you. Quite a lot.

  • nice same procesor as mine,ill buy 5850 toxic in 2 or 3 days,cant wait :D:D :D

  • I just hate people talking about getting the most expensive video card when they don't have the slightest clue about hardware..

  • @icebarker77 Agreed.

  • HI. What i better Liquid Cooling ATI Radeon 5870 1GB GDDR5 VRAM OR ATI Radeon HD 5970 PCI-E 16X 2GB GDDR5 Video Card [DirectX 11 Support] Also can you tell me what the best video card out there?

  • what fps do u get.

  • guyz,i am gonna build a pc:

    CPU -> AMD Phenom II x4 965

GPU-> Sapphire radeon hd 5850 toxic...

can u tell me what fps will i get playing crysis??

sorry for my bad english.. :S

  • @kolofagos

What resolution? If you have mine (i have same cpu and gpu) you'll get about 50+ frames :D (1440x900) on a higher res 1980x.... you'll probably have about 30-40 frames.

  • @kolofagos

Oops, i forgot, my anti aliasing is 2 times, and every thing is on very high (dx10, so u need vista or higher as OS)

  • @louislouis33 my resoluion will be 1280x1024 for now..but i am planing to get a 24" monitor later..i think i will have 50-60+ fps with my current monitor, and with the new i will buy, about 30fps

  • @louislouis33 i forgot to say that my plans have changed.. lol..now i think this one:

    AMD x6 1055T 2.8ghz

    asus 5870 1gb

    crosshair formula IV

    crosair secret value 4gb

  • @kolofagos

the processor doesn't improve, since crysis isn't multi-threading, the core speed is even lower then the 4-core processor. So but the gpu itself is more powerful, the results stay about the same. On 1280x1024 you'll always get 60 frames (2 a 4 times AA) and with your new lcd, 'bout 30fps. I'm just sayin' but most games aren't even multi-threading, so a hexacore processor won't improve performance alot.

  • try running 720p not 1080p. it wil look just as good .

  • 25 fps ..is not verry much.. hope my new system will run it better ( HD 8550 6gb ddr3 i7 860)

  • @duke140815 HD 8550 Doesn't Exist

  • I don't get how this CPU bottlenecks? I have a core 2 duo at 2.13ghz and a 9500gt on a 3 yr old comp and I play perfectly fine with 20fps at 1680 x 1050.

  • Wow comes really close to maxing video memory! I got an xfx one

  • im going to buy this:

    i7 860 4x 2.80

    ATI Radeon HD 5850

    8 GB RAM

    Intel H57

will crysis run smooth on highest settings?

  • @Flain27 Intel is better than AMD in some applications but AMD is better in gaming ,and AMD + ati gpu card you can get better benefits and fps XD

  • @95928225

    what is this based on?

the core i5 760 outperforms EVERY amd processor except for the x6 1090T, and that is in gaming, there are actual tests which back this up and i will be happy to provide for those ignorant people out there who still think AMD won this generation of processors.

  • @lief1250 its something called bang for buck.i have an i7 system a friend has a phenom ii x6 system. identical apart from ram, motherboard and cpu i now regret buying the i7 system.

  • @SAM16MM

do you know how much said processor is?

the 1090T is around $355 AUD where the i5 760 is $250, the motherboards for the AM3 socket are typically more expensive for no performance increase, the x6 uses more power, and therefore makes more heat.

overall an x6 system costs more from what you need to support it, and on what basis di you test yours and your friends processors? also what is the model number of your i7?

  • @lief1250 Im using the intel core i7-950. the machine I assembled was purely for gaming as was his we did a side by side comparison of crysis warhead maxed 1920 x 1080. Now im what you would call a videophile im sort of picky. I didnt see a difference in our comparison except a couple of fps not a very large real world difference what i call a real world difference is the extra $200 i spent

  • @lief1250 oh yeah as well as that more heat? i hardly call 40degrees after a 24hour stress test with the stock cooler hot? or considerably more than that of the i5-760

  • @lief1250

    lol post benchmark or gtfo.

  • @95928225 Intel has more frames per second than an AMD.

  • @95928225 Maybe this was true years ago against the Pentium 4. Intel definitely beats AMD in gaming and has for a while now.

  • @95928225 Thats alot of crap your teaching other people..

  • @95928225 as a long you dont bottleneck your graphic card better cpu from amd are the phenoms and better graphic card for me ati hd 5870

  • @Flain27 yes :)

  • @Flain27

yes i have hd 5850 and i7 860 too, and i can run it on 780p verry good

  • oh ya well my old voodo graphic cards kicks all this i7 and 5850 shits azz so fck off I can play tomb raider(first one) in 800x600 res maxed out so fukk you

  • can I run this card on a Spire jewel 550W PSU (30A at 12v rail) rest specs: ep35 ds3l/e8400/2gb 1066mhz KHX/1x500gb hdd...( one of my friends runs his ati 5850 on a chieftech 450W without any problems .. )

  • whats your cpu and whats it clocked at same with card

  • howcome the fps is in like the low 20s? I thought the HD5850 was capable of more than that.

  • @chrisvillan88 yeah i am confused by that too. im looking to buy this card and i was expecting at least 30fps. then again, it is at 1920x1080

  • @About20Ninjas well his cpu could be bottlenecking his performance

  • @About20Ninjas and vista :)

  • Mah GAWD.

    The beauty....

  • I have a Q8400 @ 3ghz. will that do or will it bottleneck? And no I am not fucking getting a new mobo just to get a fucking i5 or i7.

  • It should be fine, if you get another though then up it to 3.5+

  • It's up to 3.2ghz now so it's a little bit faster. What I have trouble with is the voltages. I need a table or something to tell what voltages it needs to be at at a certain oc. know a website with that?

  • Should do just fine :)

  • @TearsOfWar1 man OC ur cpu and unleash it's power at fan stock u can easily hit the 3.6ghz,if u let the clock at stock ! the bottleneck will be minor, if u OC it i can assure u that it will never bottleneck ur gpu!.

  • @TearsOfWar1 my bad i see that it's already overclocked lol i thought u said e8400 not q8400 will hell yeah a quad-core @ 3ghz is powerful enough for that card!.

  • i have an i5 750, 4gb ddr3 ram, HD 5850 black edition, and i run this game at 1920x1080 with an average of 40fps...i haven't overclocked anything, except the graphics, but that's factory overclocked..

  • using an i7 for gaming is a waste i think

  • @krispy42008 Why? I am not trying to criticise, but I was planning to get an i7 to complement my 5850. I am trying to upgrade from an AMD Athalon 5600+ (haha)

  • @willsoe Because most quad cores are more than sufficient

  • @krispy42008 No, The i7 is really needed

  • @krispy42008 Yes, buy the Amd Phenom II x4 3,4 ghz

  • @krispy42008 why?

  • @krispy42008 u r right with my i5 2.67ghz and hd 4890 1gb i get 60fps easy

    no overclocks

  • @krispy42008 no its not

  • @krispy42008 why?

  • @krispy42008 How?

  • @krispy42008 you breathing is a waste, hang ya self foo

  • @krispy42008 lol

  • @krispy42008 ya i have an i5 and i can run crysis with everything maxed except AA

  • the i7 930 shits all over any cpu running gaming like this ..regardless ati 5850 gtx285 or what ever you have .. if you dont have a i7 your behind..

  • ....LMFAO. I have a AMD X4 at 3.40ghz it rapes the i7 930. I have a HD 5770, but i'm planning on making a PC for my sis and upgrading to a 5850 and giving the 5770 to my sis This card is a beast, but you need a beast CPU to have a beast GPU.

  • your full of shit mate,,, my i7 over clocked a 4.0ghz will rape shit out of your AMD ..All day every day

do some research ,the i7 with x58 board is way faster than any cpu on the market .i all so run 2x 5850 ATI HD CARDS,, hahahah i kick your ass in cod 6

  • Um...the AMD X4 can over clock to 4.0ghz as well buddy...okay. I ran Crysis at 4.0ghz my first and second play through. I run most of my games at Stock 3.40ghz and for about $180 i can do what you can for like $700 cheaper. Sounds like a waste of money to me.

    Mate...LOL!

  • the i7 930 it is $399 au fuck me are you a 12 year old kid , that thinks he knows it alll fucking wanker

  • .....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LMFAO!!! Really...really? My AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition is 3.40 stock and yours is 2.8 stock....mine kills intel's best chip and yours isn't even the second best....okay. There's no point. Your a fucking idiot. I'll keep maxing all my games and you can keep overclocking and warping your motherboard.

  • the only thing you maxout is your hand on your dick ,,,wanker ,,, you fuck head.. brain dead cock smoker

your just pissed off beacuse you built a slow pice of shit , probly before the i 7 chip was relesed hahahahah loser .. 1 7 floggs AMD,, its all over the net ,, bawhahaha .. but a child like you cant read ,, hahaha loser

  • your totally right, i7 rapes the shit out of every amd :)

  • Mybad, i actually overclocked it to 4.3 my first playthrough. My AMD run's game on any i7 and actually runs cooler then any of of my friends rigs with i5 or i7's. Face it, the AMD X4 at 3.4 stock runs game on any intel chip. Mind you its like $700 cheaper and runs cooler then the i7. I'm using the same AMD X4 in my second build.

  • eeeh my i7 was only $250 :)

    (i7 920)

  • Oh yeah, mybad. Thats not the extreme one, thats like $999. Cause my friend's older brother has i7 975 for graphic design and my AMD X4 black edition is actually faster then his. He later switch to a the one i had after he borrowed my rig to test Maya on.

But it you have anything lower then the i7 975....theres no fucking point to talk shit on the AMD X4 black edition, cause even at stock it is slightly faster then the i7 975..a $999 chip.

  • We'll obviously youre a 12 year old kid so i wont go hard on you but... READ THE F*CKING REVIEWS AND KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT!

  • @EDMIX MHZ doesnt mean its faster O_o

  • @tHaH4x0r To bad you wont see any difference in FPS and spent $400-500 for a motherboard and cpu when you could have bought AMD for $200-300 with the same results in gaming.

  • 4 against 8 cores, do you home work autobellmyhell...

  • LMAO Do your homework unless your running 5870's in crossfire or something close to or equivalent you will see no better FPS than a Phenom. Most games at best use 2 cores and very few even use 4. Higher clocks are better for gaming right now than anything else due to limited multithreaded support. Also its shows 8 cores but the 4 HT cores are about the same processing power as 1.3 cores which your game wont even use. DA WAT?!?!

  • that bfbc2 is a cpu intencive game doesnt mean amd is better, if you look at video editing jobs the i7 performs waaay better.

And what the heck does DA WAT mean idiot.

  • intencive? DA WAT?!? Didnt say AMD is better. BFBC2 isnt video editing. DA WAT?!? Try my best spam moron

  • lmao, you tell this so called "H4x0r" leet cunt :D

  • @450hp202turbo Not true, an i5 or Core 2 Quad is all you need for Crysis. Beyond that performance is determined by the video card.

  • what's your operating system man?

  • windows vista ultimate 64

  • @niinus89 no wonder frames were low, get 7 dude

  • @iPhoneTuts I just went for XP with cracked display and 7 theme :) but I forgot about directx 10+11, I only have 9 :_(

  • Cool video, man. How do you think it would run at 1680x1050?

  • wanted an nvidia (better drivers and physX) card for my new i7 build but the new ati cards rape them in most games and i can't be assed to wait for fermi to be released if it ever does also from what i have read the new nvidia cards will be nearly twice the price of the 5000 series I can see Nvidia struggling to catch up with ATI and it could be 12-18 months before they get enough cards out to cover customer demands and sort out their drivers.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a fan of ATI

but i am a fan of their 5000 series.

  • crysis run great on my ati 5970@ 900/1200!!!!!! ;)

  • Crysis runs better on NVIDIA.

  • @ArmAFan

My 5850 runs Crysis better than the GTX 285 in my other rig. People that make stupid ass statements like this are fanboys. When the Fermi series is out (if it ever comes out) then it will run better on Nvidia until ATI releases their new line, and so on and so on...

  • I wouldn't call him a fanboi, more like a fangirl, because girls don't really understand anything, and since he has no comprehension of the ati side of graphics, hes a fangirl.

  • So true. I use to be a huge Nvidia fan, but after the 5000 sereis came out i was intreasted in getting one. I mean why pay more for less? I got a 5770 and was blown away. I maxed ALL my games, even Crysis with no problems. I'm definetly getting a HD 5850 to cross fire with my 5770.

  • @EDMIX u can´t run a 5850 and a 5770 in crossfire.

  • For real? Aw that sucks. Its sucks but it wall also give me a reason to build a new rig using that Fragbox case i seen on Newegg. I was kinda hoping to crossfire it, but i can always just replace it and build a new rig around the HD 5770.

  • Wait you can crossfire a 5850 and 5770 together?? I didn't know that. I thought it had to be the same card, excluding manufacturer.

  • I think you are right... unless ATI has been lying to us this whole time lol

  • @TearsOfWar1 OMG, THAT'S 1337! Didn't know that either!

  • @TearsOfWar1 According to wiki you can not. The card has to be in the same subfamily. i.e 5850 can crossfire will 5830, 5850,5870 but not with 5770, 5750, 5670, ect.

  • so you think.

  • you have 25 fps with fraps, without you have about 35fps?

  • @RikoGuitar4Life he ant recording off fraps he only was getting 25 fps u can use fraps to see your fps and not los fps but wen u use fraps to record then u lose it but the 5850s drivers havenr fully uesed the card

  • @RikoGuitar4Life jaja fraps doesn´t low the framerate, what do that is RECORDING with fraps, so without fraps he is getting the same framerate.

  • Fraps uses allot of resources, very bad when doing benching.

  • only if u're recording tarded

  • Crytek 2 engine is a really poor benchmark. It has a detect ATI automatically cap setting within it. You were recording 25fps which doesn't make too much sense with the power in an HD5850. It isn't much of a gain over an HD4850 despite having nearly 2 times the power.

  • please..upload more videos testing this video card.please!!!..and a video testin dirt 2..btw 5*

  • ever heard of screen capture programs? filming your screen with a camera is fail

  • @judoisoww he's filming his screen because he's benchmarking his computer. If you run capturing programs such as Fraps,.the testing results are obviously altered. Fraps like every capturing program has to write on a big .avi file in the HD and uses RAM which is stolen to the application that you want to benchmark your computer with. It's not a fail.

  • ok point taken fail by me although you can get capturing devices that record the information on it's way from the machine to the screen but such things would cause problems and they are helll expensive. I TAKE BACK MY COMMENT

  • @Hadrhune0 hes got 4gb tripple channel ram that shouldnt make a difference it doesnt for me with my 4gb dual channel

  • @kingDylant yes, dual channel as triple channel doesn't make a great difference, but I assure you that having a Fraps recording in background makes a great difference in terms of performance, not only for the ram, but even for CPU and HDD usage. You gotta think that your PC is encoding an AVI file while you're playing with Crysis (which is not the lightest of the games).

Anyway even if FRAPS had taken just single fps, the benchmarking it wouldn't been correct. It's not about "it runs" or not.

  • i take back this comment it is stupid i know

  • crysis is not a 1 card game. if your not runnin sli or crossfireX your not gonna see the game as it was mint to be seen. well you can play at low settings and beat the game. i really didint think crysis was that good. but thats just me not you. the game played really smooth on my crossfire set up with 2x 4850 at 1280x960

  • you are a fuckwit

  • if i have a 5850 with pci express 1.0 how bad will it ?

  • it just will fail, as you will be degrading the card and cannout use it to its full potential.

i would encourage you to just upgrade your motherboard

  • the difference between pci-e 1.0 and 2.0 is minimum, search for benchmark on the internet, the max loss i saw was about 7%, not a big issue

  • What does The floppy disc icon up the left mean?

  • I also wonder, but I'd assume it means it's saving the benchmark data to the disk.

  • i have a palit gtx 285 2GB and a Q9550 @ 3.5GHz.

Play this game at 1920x1200 all on the highest with 8xaa with min 25fps and max 29fps

  • only 20 fps ? i have seen a video of 4890 do more in 1080i

  • 1080p! It's more difficult for the graphics card!

  • but the hd4890 do more than the new 5850 ? take a look of the hd4890 in 1080i

  • The HD5850 is faster as the HD4890, but between the cards are no worlds! And in some situations the older cards can be faster as the new ones!

  • @zatlasba

    Look at the guys processor/ram.

  • i know he's fine with e8400@3.6 and 4go ram !

  • @zatlasba Yeah, but the 4890 you seen would have probably have been with an i7 at 4ghzplus with an x58 mobo and 6gb ddr3 ram.

Theres no way in hell the 4890 is faster than the 5850

  • wow..interlaced eh ?!

  • no it's progressive the 2200HD is a full HD display

  • yeh.. dude......sigh

  • i think...u need to change your cpu..to quad core..or something more than dual core..cpu really important if u haf nice performence graphics card like this..hehe..

  • A dual core at 3.6GHz will beat a quad at 3.2GHz in most games. A strong dual core like the E8400 or E8500 is just fine for gaming.

  • While you say that, it's more like... for some games, now. Many of the games I upgraded from an E8500 @ 4.0 to a Q9550 (now also at 4.0), and I've got less random hitches, and several games just seem to be more fluid...

Not all, of course. But many games do utilize 4 threads nowadays.

  • Most games don't use more than two threads. The performance bonuses you're seeing are from the background processes/OS being unloaded onto the third/fourth core.

Very, very few games use more than two threads. GTA4 and Supreme Commander are the only ones that come to mind that use more than two threads. Many games even show a 1-2% performance DECREASE when going from triple to quad core.

  • Prototype too :)

  • Crysis 3 - 3rd generation graphics cards since the game's release 0.

8800 GTX/Ultra, HD 3870 x2, 9800GX2, HD 4870 x2, GTX 295, HD 5870 and this game still can't be owned by any of those cards. When will the shrew be tammed? Maybe Fermi will be up to the task, who knows.

  • Actually, the cpu is in no way a bottleneck :S

  • oo maybe my cpu bottleneck with this graphics card >_>

  • obiously he's using an intel socket lga775, so your best bet is a Q9550 OC'd. 600W might be a bit low for overclocking though

  • nope, look at the total powerconsumption in many reviews and you'll that you actually don't need so much power, only the right conecters and amps, only if you go SLI or CF you'll need a large PSU... As long as you have a stable PSU and enough amps you'll be okay with a 600W :)

  • Has the full driver for the hd 5800 - series come out yet?

  • I consider opgrading to core i7 or intel quadcore

  • dont go now back to sockel 775. If you upgrade get the i5 or i7 or the AMD phenom II X4

  • decent results :) I have a very similar pc, and my 5850 will be here any day now. I'll be running at 1680x1050 though :D

  • Nice : )

  • I think you need a better PSU and a better processor.
