@MrHadesDark i m completely agree , never heard so bad version , but baremboim use to be like that most of the time ,he plays ''easy'' repertoir in a commercial style ,sounds like he plays and recording first view
@maxerdob I can assure you that's very probable. For sure this is played with sheet music, like he did for Chopin's Nocturnes. I bet he has a very good first sight reading, so he's taking advantage of it. I don't know how much he has studied, but not too much. 1-2 a piece, no more.
wow, 6000 ? big job . all the others are on line too ? let me know , maibe i ready subscrived .other wise i will . i can understain the problems with youtube rules copiright etc .if is that the reason to have more account . horrible systeme that of youtube , i know very well
Whwn I played this piece for some reason I imagined a tipsy spinster on her way home and suddenly awkened to the joys of nature and her own sensuality To get this imageout od my head I wrote a short story at the end: 'Now she knew what those light staccato notes meant, making the melody trip along on weightless feet. And oh! The changing harmonies that moved like shifting sands beneath the surface, the darker, plaintive shades recalling sorrow.' Ferenc gets it exactly right.
48 precious pieces of music these "songs withouth words" composed by the genius of Mendelssohn between 1830-45, being this one the most beautiful and better known one!!!!! it´s simply lovely and as fresh as its title implies SPRING
