  • where'd my comment go? hahaa!

  • @CorpseOClockNews I'd written a whole comment- guess YouTube ate it. I just visited the cemetery back in october. We were filming Gary Streiner as he pointed out damages to the chapel in the cemetery. He's trying to keep it from being torn down.

  • I've got relatives in the cemetery.

  • my cousin always thought it was filmed at baxters ridge in ohio lol

  • Look!......look!, there comes one of them now. He's getting closer, dangerously close!!!!!

  • they're coming to get you Barbara!

  • is the 1990 remake filmed in the same cemetary

  • my grandma is buried there :)

  • This is about a 3 mile drive from my house, infact, my school bus drives down that same road in the beggining.

  • What did the second sign say?

  • @Kessler899 It's basically a sign of rules. I could make out "No Dumping", but not the others. I live a few miles from there, so if you absolutely insisted, I could run out and take a high quality pic for you. Let me know.

  • @shkunk1 That would be cool. The reason I asked was because I thaught it said "No zombies" lol

  • @Kessler899 I can do that, but I'd like to wait for a sunny day. So, give me a week or two. (it's been dreary here for weeks.) I won't forget. Of course, I'm not sure how to upload pics on youtube; but I'll figure it out, or incorporate it into a video.

I'd add "No Zombies" for you, but it would probably piss off the cemetary people.

  • @Kessler899 You might also be interested in a bit of history. In 1985 a huge tornado swept through this area. (I think f4 or f5) It was especially huge for an area that seldom sees tornados. According to some reports, the twister cracked open a crypt at the Evan City cemetary and there were caskets laying on the ground. Creepy stuff. The national gaurd had the whole area shut down for weeks. People caught in their controlled area without I.D. & and a reason for being there were arrested.

  • @shkunk1 That's kind of creepy. Also, what happened to the tree that was next to the garve that Barbra(?) and that guy went to in night of the living dead?, was it the same thing?

  • @Kessler899 Not sure about the tree or even where the grave was located in the cemetary. Me and some friends tried to figure out roughly where the grave was when we were teenagers, but there was no good aerial shot in the movie to give us perspective. I drive past there once in a while, but I haven't actually pulled into the cemetary in over 20 years. Also, the original film was made in 1968; things can change alot in 40 years.

  • @shkunk1 That's a good point, If you want to know about where all the stuff in the movie is then I can recommend 'A trip to the night of the living dead cemetary' the video is by a person called 'Jamesnintendonerd' (He is hillarious,he also does reviews of bad retro games) it shows him visiting all of the places in the movie. He also has a 'A trip to the dawn of the dead mall' video that is worth checking out.

  • They're coming for you, Barbara! LOL

  • u gotta see washington county cemetery ive been there its really creepy it was in the 1st NOTLD

  • I have been there.(: It was soooooo fun! I was scared the whole time though. lol.

  • If you guys know of Dawn of the Dead, check out my page...I have Monroeville Mall videos!

  • i wonder why 90% of the people who film at this cemetery fail to go to the actual graves where the infamous scenes were filmed!!!

  • Do you know which of those stones were the one the couple visited in the film?

  • @jmann229 that would of been a trip! lol

  • this is avery good amateur piece of work.

  • Thanks for posting. I always liked them opening credit scenes, your video was very cool to watch. Incidently, I found a cool clip of the actor that played "Johnny", the one who has the keys! Type into search: Russell Streiner drive in comment. He does the famous line and talks about the impact the film had in the drive in market.

  • Dude, this is awesome, wished I could actually SEE the place where that legendary horror was filmed haha

  • i would definitely be freaking out if i ever visited there. yes it is just a movie but i'd be scared shitless just the same. i still get freaked out in cemetaries from this movie! i think i would chicken out and start yelling for my boyfriend to turn the car around!

  • id be scared to go there :o i know, the movie isnt real but still its scary :o

  • How much of this cemetery here is what was there and intact when the group were there filming in '67? I ask this because in one of the commentary tracks for the film I've heard, Romero and the rest were saying something about a really nasty storm tearing through the area and the cemetary some time after they filmed, and graves were even unearthed, I believe they said. Damn, how ironic is That?

  • 4:05 Look there's one of them now.

  • @Jesuistouche lol

  • I love it when that old man says "I'm sorry, I'm very very sorry". CREAPY!

  • its not the same without barbara to look at lolol ;)

but seriously surely im not the only 1 who thinks that Judith O'dea was the ultimate babe here and waht would be cool is if u showed comparisons with places shown in the movie with the actual movie 2:41 looked familiar wasnt that the crypt that they were shown in front of when they walked out of the car and into the cemetery?

  • Hey can you go to the farm house they filmed it at?

  • The movie couple visits a grave next to a to a "Blair" stone; she clings to a "Nicholas Kramer" stone as the boy's head is smashed against a stone for "Clyde Lewis Myers." The zombie passes a "Cole" stone while chasing her. The outbuilding at 3:00 is in the movie when the zombie attacks the car. There are photos of the Kramer and Myers stones at the Findagrave website. There are Cole and Blair photos, but the stones aren't the same -- perhaps those in the movie were surname plot stones.

  • To follow up on this message, I came upon a website that says that the gravestone that the couple in the movie come to leave flowers on is a stone for George and Grace Cole. There is a photo of the stone at Findagrave.

  • this fil sou good ;DDD

  • At 1:43 does that Tombstone say Burn, Bunn, Born or What?

My last name is Bunn :P

  • American cemeteries are "horrible", made for lawnmowers. One of my sisters is burried in Indianapolis, so I know what I'm talking about.

  • What are cemeteries like where your from? Just curious.

  • Thei're coming to get you "Skene 63" :)

  • That's the worst shit I've ever heard.

  • Nothing "rural" about this area any more.

  • I just want to know where in the cemetery is the spot were Barabra and Johnny visit's there mothers grave site i would really like to know

  • WOW just like in the movie WOW!

  • I used to live in near this cemetary;walked in it many times. Pretty

creepy when the sun goes down.I loved it!

  • Always wanted to go here but the haunted season is upon us so who knows? Great job!

  • I was expecting a scary ending... like one of the guys screaming at the camera at the last moment ;-) anyways, nice locations and nice trilogy

  • Now co'mon Barbara I mean praying's for church. They're coming to get you Barbara.......look, here comes one of the now!!!!

  • how expected.....get it eh

  • Sorry, mmbmrock, you are wrong. Night of the Living Dead was filmed in the Evans City cemetery, just like these guys have it.

  • Not so fast. I know someone from that area and part of the movie was filmed at Livermore Cemetary. Not a lot but a small part of it. He lived just up the road from it. Filmmakers often do small shoots at other locations to get a nuance they are looking for. Most of it was Evens City, though.

  • This is the information from Wikipedia on Livermore Cemetery:

"While the cemetery scene was filmed here, the bulk of the movie was actually filmed in Evans City, Pennsylvania more than 30 miles from Livermore." So, both locations were used.

  • Your friend is mistaken. All of the cemetery scenes were filmed at Evans City(all in 2 days as a matter of fact). For proof, read Romero's bio titled "Knight of thr Living Dead". He talks about the difficulty in filming due to time and budget restraints. As he says himself, they didn't have time to travel all over looking for the proper lighting or mood. Once they found a suitable area(in this case, Evans City), they had to rehearse, film the scene, and move on. Moving around was too expensive.

  • u guys are all wrong...it was filmed in my basement

  • Love the movie, so I MUST see this for myself, one day. Too bad the farm house is gone. :(

  • Yes, it's very cool to actually be there and still be alive . You have to see it.

    Thanks for your comment

  • Thanks for posting it! :)

  • @HazardousRaptor ya so what happend to the farm house

  • @HazardousRaptor Ahhh...the cemetery is awesome! I just went to Evans City this past October for a charity screening of NOTLD. We filmed Gary Streiner walking around and pointing out all the damages to the chapel. He's trying to save the chapel from being torn down.

  • Where's the tombstone where dickhead got his head smashed in!!!!

  • what a joke. i dont see any zombies.

  • well you sure are an einstein

  • I wonder if romero himself will be buried in this cemetery.

  • one day i'll visit it myself. i MUST see the place where this zombie classic was shot.

  • i would never do this. i watched this movie on ondemand (cox) and had to stop after the first 5 minutes. i fucking hate zombies. i know this movie is 18 yrs old, but it is freaky as hell. annd, i thought that these were set up scenes... i've been to evan's city, but i didn't know that it was filmed here. sweet :D

  • Original movie was made in 1968 so it is actually more like 40 years old.

  • Ah for fuck's sake, grow some balls now, wouldn't ya??

  • sick lol take us to the house the 1 in the film

  • The house was demolished many years ago. If I remember right, it was razed shortly after the movie was shot.

  • oh thanks

  • Fuckin' low-life scumbags, let's thrash their homes too!!

  • night of the living children is good to

  • I'm sure there are clowns that really there that really do dress up as zombies and jump out on people lol

  • Tell my Kids all the time its not the dead we need to be afraid of its the living ones.

  • What's scary in graves and bones? (you should afraid of living ones) Ghetto in Paris at night is 10000x creepier o_0

  • that cemetery wloud be scary at night even douring the day just by looking at it is scary now that place is scary

  • Was this cemetery in both movies?

  • wheres part 2 guys..or three or four???

  • Evan's city is such a boring town. It's fun to see that a movie like that was filmed there.

  • So that's the cemetary huh? Pretty awesome

  • "They're coming to get you Barbara!" My all time favorite movie! I remember when Chilly Billy interviewed George Romero on Chiller Theater in 1968. Shortly before the film's gala opening.

  • Would have been funny if someone dressed as a zombie would have popped out from behind a tombstone on you guys.

  • WTF?!?!

  • COOL CEMETERY.<o> <o>

  • A drive up the road, and some tombstones at Evans City Cemetery...Did Tom Savini (NOLD 90)leave any foot prints?Well that was interesting, I guess.

  • Tom Savini did not shoot the sequel here. It is south west of PIttsburgh. So is the new house about a mile from the cemetary. Been there done that.

  • I have to visit this!!! and also the Mulholland Drive from the David Lynch film!!!

  • haha i live in EC

  • Is this where they filmed the openning scene for night of the living dead part 1?

  • So scary¡¡¡¡

  • yup this is it alright thanx!

  • sick

  • i miss home.

  • nice job...can even hear the crickets..bet that place is a kick in the summer under a full moon

  • Where did you hear that Dark Depts?

Also what road was that house on, or was it part of the cemetary as a groundskeeper's house?

  • The house was demolished after shooting.

  • Where did you hear that DarkDepts?

Also what road was that house on ? or did it not have a road and was part of the cemetary as the caretaker's house?

  • I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I heard it on some kind of interview with George Romero.

  • It still looks the same just a little different.

I also wonder where the house was too.

Did you ever find the road in the opening sequence? when they make that long turn when it says "Image Ten productions"?

  • Is this cemetary from the original night of the living dead or the remake?

  • The Original...of course

  • 8z scared,alright?!i love that movie!
