@tehpeasant If you tune it differently it changes the timbre of the instrument. I'm not saying it didn't sound good, I'm just saying that to get the sound of the instrument to the same sound as Munky's guitar, you have to tune it the same way. The thickness of the strings affects the sound, so if you have them tuned wrong, the sound is wrong. If you tune the correct thickness string to the correct note, it will sound right. Still sounded good, but not just right.

I used to cover this when i had my Les Paul in Baritone tuning like this, Didn't sound quite like Munky or Head obviously, but still worked fine to the untrained ear!

It looks like he tuned it in AEBEAD, which is an unorthodox tuning(I kinda made it up, but I dont think i'm the first person on the earth to do that.)

Sounds right, but really it is wrong. Even though it's only a 6 string, it still needs to be the right tuning, not dropping the low string to an A same as the d string to an A.

Sound: U use Super Tube Professional TP 4 (Preamp, Overdrive, Distortion + Noise Gate) - Russian producer/

I cut the gain in a half for clear sound + added an equalizer whith low frequencies + phaser in riff.
