Actually a manual 128 is almost 1 full sec faster then the automatic version... The manual 128 could eaily tie the 350z and a stock 135 will beat a stock 370z.... Check out the runs on here between 2011 135 vs 370z and you'll see... the Z cars are only quick to me, they are not fast at all...
If all you care about is 0-60, then you're driving the wrong cars. 135i is a lot faster in the straights and the turns than a 128i with its much greater power (plus the turbo gives it a ton more potential 400hp+), and its improved suspension and breaks. For the same of 0-60, 2-3 tenths is A LOT. 100hp buys you 2-3 tenths.

Since you drive a NA then you probably know there are not much room a piggy chip or intake can do to NA engine. Even mine is modded i think it at most if gives me an extra 25hp? still far less than 300hp...most important I spent like $500 on the mods only and I bring my car to 350Z level easy. So either 128i is underrated or 350Z is overrated?I'm not sure but give you an Idea only

You. My friend are funny. The 350z is in the higher 20ks and the new version of the Z which is the 370z is 30k. The cars have about the same value. Plus the dude in the BMW is driving just as well as the dude in the 350z. The 350z just comes out on top.
people like Flexfuell306 are just fanboys. you have to look at the car as a car not a brand. i will bet anything if the z came with a bmw badge flexfuel would be saying how its the best car ever. there are great japanese cars out there like the z, the civic si (not as fast as these two but still amazing), the evo and the wrx sti. a badge has nothing to do with how the car turns out.

Apparently you didn't watch the same video as I did. Either way, the 128i did a half decent job considering how down on power it is compared to the supposedly amazing 350z. Based on the power difference, the 128i gets RIPPED by a 135i, and based on this video, the 350z would get slaughtered by a 135i as well.

manual 128 does it in high5's (~5.7-8 at the average) so you can eat automatics all day long but with stick one it'll be an exciting drivers race.
BTW. 4.7 that sounds too good even for 135i

The video doesn't lie. Considering how down on power the 128i is, it stayed respectably close. The inline 6 in the BMW sounds better too.

This Z would lose to a 335i, because it's the old DE engine, not an HR. If this was an 07+ Z, it would have walked the 128 a lot harder.
