It showed how a film rating board, excuse me, censor board, routinely allows graphic violence and men enjoying sex with women to have a looser ratings (PG-13, and so forth), and thus a wider audience. However, in cases where a film showed women enjoying sex, the film routinely got more restrictive ratings (R, NC-17, X). It shows the hypocritical puritan dogma that can pervade such censor boards.
I searched the word "sex" before watching this video. However, I still think DPR brings the point home. Some serious changes need to happen in YouTube and I'm not talking about the user viewing or channels.
Summing up: seems like those of us residing in Germany get an unjustified copyrights restriction on the original video. We still have no clue about the content, so if someone who can watch it would be so kind and put it on rapidshare so that I can mirror it for us Germany based users please? Or fill us in about the content of the original. Thanks.

I hate false-flagging. I got false-flagged once, not too long ago. It was a high-school English project. YouTube needs customer service. I got the same stupid automated reply, and it took me FOREVER to find out how to email them.

Yes, YouTube has customers. They sell brand channels, ad space, and video promotion services. That's just to name the stuff that's highly visible. There's probably information brokerage behind the scenes.
How many videos are flagged or DMCA and removed each day? If there is a high count it may not be possible to review all fast so the automated system would make sense to ensure no liabilty. Also you would need someone qualified to justify the claims of any DMCA, such as a laywer and so they need to just remove the video immediately. Perhaps just flagged videos need someone less qualified but just wonder how much youtube would need tp spend to have someone reivew every suspended video?

The only way YT would change or listen is if all YT users stopped using their services, however, this will never happen cos despite all the moaning and complaining, whether the complaints be justified or otherwise, we all still continue to use YT regardless, so no wonder YT feel they dont have to change cos we all inadvertently persevere and carry on making YT lots of money!

I got that copyright message too from Berlin. I mailed dpr to see if this is some kind of youtube limitation or just the settings from the uploaders.

I think it's an agreement between youtube and the f..ng GEMA especially about music.
Might be that dpr used a song that got recognized by the system and blocked.
Tried to open any music videos lately? Hardly any avaible for Germans due to copyright restrictions.

I hate false-flagging. I got false-flagged once, not too long ago. It was a high-school English project. YouTube needs customer service. I got the same stupid automated reply, and it took me FOREVER to find out how to email them.

YouTube's customer service is a complete joke and it's apparent they try to automate absolutely everything they can. Meanwhile, essential features like the uploader and the inbox remain broken or buggy for long stretches of time.

Yes, YouTube has customers. They sell brand channels, ad space, and video promotion services. That's just to name the stuff that's highly visible. There's probably information brokerage behind the scenes.

How many videos are flagged or DMCA and removed each day? If there is a high count it may not be possible to review all fast so the automated system would make sense to ensure no liabilty. Also you would need someone qualified to justify the claims of any DMCA, such as a laywer and so they need to just remove the video immediately. Perhaps just flagged videos need someone less qualified but just wonder how much youtube would need tp spend to have someone reivew every suspended video?

I subbed Nyk right before he did those videos on 9/11. After a few weeks of mostly shit videos, I unsubbed.
Most notably is the video where he comes up with the paranoid, hysterical theory that people watch the Saw movies because it's "torture porn". I was expecting him to burst into tears and run off screaming "Mommy! Mommy!" Seriously, they're just films. Calm the fuck down, Tweek.
I'll sub him back when he stops being such a pussy, until then he should change his name to 'Nyctophobic'.

Youtube's original purpose was to give everyone with internet access and a digital video recorder their own voice. Now their purpose is to make money selling ad space on Jail Bait videos. The "YOU" in youtube has become incidental to their goal of making money off user generated content. Google's motto is "don't be evil". They ought to change it to "tell people our motto is 'don't be evil' but act just like all other selfish greedy corporations that don't care about people anyway".

The "not available in your country" message is due to international law and out of country broadcast restrictions put in place through the Content ID system. The problem is the song in the video, not the video itself.
