No problem. "Been America; long distance; well English" are kind of "punny" too. My only serious comment is: never use more than one exclamation mark.

The Little, Brown Handbook calls it an exclamation point, rather than mark, and notes: "Exclamation points are never combined with other exclamation points, question marks, periods, or commas," and stresses to use them sparingly.
