  • Why have a lot of other countries started using transparent magazines, while the US does not? Is the only advantage of trans mags to see how many rounds are left in your spare mags? I assume they are also more expensive which would be another reason we don't use them.

  • the SAR 21 is like the copy of TAR 21 design and created by tarvor

  • great memories shooting:) and the long hours waiting for the night shoot~~~

  • i managed to do Night shoot with SAR21 during my final reservist, its definitely much better then m16, it cool that now they have digitalize the scoring part,

  • @visualskyman may I ask how many reservists a soldier must do?until what age?

  • Hmm... i'm a sharpshooter in my current reservist unit despite i'm wearing spectacles, and I know nothing but watching youtube and fixing computers. Got my marksmanship in my weapon familiarization test on last training (24/24). =P

  • what rifle is that?

  • @TheExtremelyarie it's the SAR 21.

  • @TheExtremelyarie Otherwise known as the Singapore Assult Rifle :)

  • they wear glasses and are allowed in army?!?!?! they all look like momma's boy

  • @myfunkychannel dude, every able bodied male in singapore does military. screw spectacles, they're not important.

  • @cloudstrife23ac i knew that. but i thought only soldiers that fit criteria had to. wearing spectacles in war is very important. your glasses all of a sudden fogging up when engaged in firefight, you loose or damage your spectacles your blind then.

  • Target small. and the crosshair's dot is even more fking SMALLER!!!!!

  • Ooook, I don't quite see how you can feel the pressure of combat simply by hearing a rifle being fired/firing a rifle. I am regularly near guns with calibres measure inches, not milimetres, so I guess I might be suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder soon then.

Anyway jokes aside, by and large the soldiers featured in this series are recruits, between the ages of 17 - 20. This is basic military training, so they do appear a little raw :) With new soldiers, firearm safety is always a concern

  • Now NCC is changing to the Pixel... I am sec 2 NCC next year... Sec 2,3,4 nvr change only Sec 1 form next year onwards get Pixel... but if they get into trouble, misbehave in public, the public will think that those are NS man and will put all the blame on SAF instead of NCC. So what if they got Pixel? The 2nd Gen Camo No.4 alot of people have die for the country while wearing it. Really i have to teach the sec 1s next year how to behave in public.

  • @AuditionGuy258 agree with u lol^^ im from fuhua ncc^^ next year im also going to be a part B :D

  • @AuditionGuy258 Yes please i see them everytime in NCC Campus. Its a disgrace if they dont behave.

  • I remember the first time I shot live round... a Simonov SKS (or CKC) rifle... The gun shocked very strongly when I fired, with a very big sound (much bigger than SAR-21)... With no ear-covering, I can feel the pressure of a combat, and the smell of gunpowder made me excited...

With a AK-47, that feeling was more excited...

  • These boys are soldiers or just students? I heard that Singaporean sodiers are "noble soldiers", I think it's true in this case. Perfect equipments, perfect gun SAR-21 but these boy look much alike students than soldiers. Wear ear-covering before firing... Oops...

  • @coccafedang That's because they're in the basic level of military training, so whatever is going on they are always taught and reminded that safety is always the ultimate priority

Its a different story when you're posted out into a unit though

  • does the SAR21 really suck to the extent of 8 IAs?

  • @mllcg it depends on how you treat the weapon. if you clean and oil it properly, it should fire well. Same for M16. these guys are recruits, so maybe they not so good with the basics yet. don't think it's a SAR21 problem.

  • @IAmReinrex2 once you're in the army, then you know how it is like. Thats if the army wants you.

  • @IAmReinrex2 I Oso NFC yet I more humble... Bro we're ncc only... They army, higher standard don't diss them k?

  • Comment removed

  • @IAmReinrex2 showoff

  • @kofee09 jelous much?

  • @IAmReinrex2 kpkb la like that also want to action. action your mother cheebye la

  • @IAmReinrex2 nope im in ncdcc. y should i be jealous

  • @IAmReinrex2 NCC??? HAHAHA

  • never oil and clean his rifle. no wonder IA.

  • Although the sar-21 is taught in the army to be fired round by round(i.e. semi-auto), treating the sar-21 as a FN FAL in actual war would be quite stupid. Unless the soldier's intention is to get himself or his team-mates killed, one should use the SAR-21 as a assault rifle, not a sniper rifle. As long as the soldiers don't spray bullets all over the damn place like rambo, I'm sure it'll be all right

  • my facebook freind is going through this

  • Is national service mandatory in Singapore?

  • @NewtMessiah60 yeah... for all Sg males...

  • @darkrider123 Ah, that clears up a few thoughts. Thanks.

  • @darkrider123 and pr's too. :)

  • Full breath in, half breath out, take aim, shoot... I think?

  • @LOLlipopHQ Useful for a sniper. Less movement, Less shaky.

  • @jethrotay:Tis is singapore armed forces(SAF)

  • What company is this?

  • I wana be a soldire when im only 11 years old

  • @bryancara Soldier.

  • Why did these niggaz speaking broken english?

  • @Blogdub we rfrom singapore...when the british colonized us b4 our independance, we speak our language. but since the british colonized us our grandparents learnt it and mixed it with chinese language, malay language, and tamil and so on. forming "Singlish" or singaporean english

  • @Blogdub It's not broken English it's just a different version of it :)

  • @Blogdub niggaz? they are black? fucking racist

  • I wasn't worried at all. I prepared before. xD

  • Firing is Fun but Rifle cleaning after that sucks =p haaha~

  • are they all wearing the same glasses?

  • @ronkx no. the malay guy's wearing calvin klein and the other guy's wearing armani or something

  • when i was serving ns , the rifle was still m 16. i was not nervous but respectful of the rilfe.safety on , never point it at anyone.clear arms always eye ball the chamber.

  • Bloddy hell la... All never adjust their gas reg....

  • @JonE23 so angry for what =.=

  • @yusasasa i did do better... which is why i got drafted for the shooting team... 3rd brigade sniper...

  • fuckig asian people!!!! they rocks!!!!!

  • you edited the video because of copyright right?

  • bloody hell air u think what ......to sar 21 air rifle macam like water gun -_-

  • @jingy90 i didn't mention to slander the country..i just show some fact..a real fact! just admit that singapore need and depend tight with other country.. i respect every progress of singaporean..! but in my view, they are not as strong as we think..

  • @constantmotionish Wow... Real smart... Slandering the country on their army's youtube channel. With regards to your comment, I do not see how not having our own water source and having to buy it elsewhere is, in your own words, "weak". In fact, it shows quite the opposite. Singapore, being able to source out other alternatives of water to provide for its citizens not only shows how capable & reliable the country is, but also displays the strength of the country being able to solve problems.

  • own time own target, CARRY ON!!

  • @mechislander I.A ! I.A ! I.A XD!

  • i wanna learn to shoot too!!

  • these guys can't shoot for shit... try going for the guards conversion... 800m with an AW magnum... uneven ground and the targets are all fig 15...

  • dud wtf how do u dislike this im indonesian and i love both sinapore and indonesia

  • tok much try own self den u noe how nervous it is

  • they all are BOYSCOUT..not a SOLDIER!

  • @constantmotionish LOL at least we owned your cheap country..

  • the brothers song at the end of every video is super cheesy and irritating

  • the brothers song at the end is super cheesy and irritating

  • What are their facebooks???I die die 3 weeks finding their facebook

  • Wow, SAR 21 can jam so often??

  • @PrinceOfPeace22 Nope its just noobs who don't know how to use the rifle....

  • How to shoot if i left handed?

  • @RidRave ask a right hander to stand perpendicular in front of a mirror... look into the mirror and that's how u shoot

  • @KenMcGormick So i can you left hand

  • @RidRave right handed... if u using m16... is right handed only... sar21 can be both hand...

  • @KenMcGormick @RidRave An M16 can be used both left and right handed. A deflector can be attached to the ejection port to deflect the shells. But a SAR-21 cannot be used left handed. The SAR-21 is designed with protection on the left side to protect the firer in the event of a chamber explosion. To use the rifle left handed would itself be a safety violation.

In short, SAR-21, right hand only.

  • @RidRave No choice, need to learn to use right hand.....

  • @SlowRkers Damn now i hate using gun lol

  • @RidRave Don't worry haaha i'm also left handed so yeah i know how you feel haaha, but seriously its quite easy to get use to haaha

  • IA IA IA.. NABEI CB!! IA AGAIN!! HAHA!! memories siaaaa...

  • IA IA IA..!! haha...!

  • WOOO ONE MORE YEAR !

  • When's the nade part?

  • Rifle too clean liao lah... Too clean sure IA one..

  • When recruits come to training they have little or no prior experince b/c civilians are disarmed, forbidden to own arms in Singapore's technocratic dictatorship. American shooters by contrast...

  • m16 still rocks.

  • That guy from air rifle , should not talk so much.. End up losing face!

  • This clip is really boring. Forgive me. It failed to attract my attention in any way.

  • what is the rifle they use?

  • @humenghu SAR 21

  • common misconception: misfire = accidentally fire weapon

accidentally fire weapon = negligent discharge

round don't go off went trigger squeezed = misfire

  • @thatotherthinker aka Dud. Negligent discharge commonly refers to when a soldier accidentally or carelessly discharges his firearm. It is an offence and the person can be charged.

  • 1st night at the range - came back at 2am, back at it at 6am in the morning again.

3rd night at the range - IA firers watch your front! *BANG* *tracer flying into the sky... coming back down slowly...* "Wah, that guy sure kena sai liao. Sign extra for the rest of BMT for sure one."

    All using M16s.

The range was full of dead frogs, bats and lizards afterwards. All full of holes. Hahaha...

  • Every soldier must learn to shoot

when bad guy come no need to scoot

    Sargent teach old brad AIM&SQUEEZE

But target too small every shot still miss!!!

    AIEEOOAIEOOAIEAIEOOAAIEOOAIEOOAIEAIEO!!!!

  • Fail la the IA situation. Soildier u fail in that IA situation. Ever been stuck with a M16 rifle that can give u 2 IA every 3 cat u shoot....if i do yr kind of IA rectification, i go for re shoot dont know how many time le. Now my IA drill is, Shoot shoot shoot, IA IA IA, unload, cork cork cork, check clear, load and shoot. All together less than 3 sec, just enough time for the target to pop out. Learn from it.

  • wah their earplugs so stylo now siah!!

  • wow if that is called sharpshooter.

what about those who get marksman for ATP.

  • @PhoenixFlare2010 Not to mention with the M16 which doesn't have the luxury of an integrated 1.5x scope...

  • Seems like there are no more run-downs at the range. Also, 32 rounds is a lot less than what we used to shoot.

  • @optimisticoccupant I think it's because they got no bayonets so no point, and firing from the hips is still strong discouraged. (Or they don't want to show the cluster**** that is firing from the hips?)

  • If you are in the battle field you cannot feel the hot you are saying bro... The most important is to have a accurate rifle..anyway always remember , pistol and rifle are only an instrument..YOU ARE THE WEAPON! Hoorah?

  • @blackwater152939 Horah! But that's American's chant. Hehehe...

  • @ninjax105 = hehehe

  • @ninjax105 = Philippine armed forces are patterned after that of the U.S. bro..Sowee for the Hoorah..hihihi

  • try shoting a m16 instead of sar21

  • CRAP?!

    16/16 !!!

    DARYL!

  • I always thought SAR-21 is good enough to not jam so easily but after this video, I felt so dissapointed about the IAs they are getting!

I wonder if this gun can even enter water like the HK416.... IAs, pull trigger without anything happen. The rifle will have any catastropic failure like blowing up in your face?

  • @zhiheng2005 weapons jam cos' recruits never clean and oil them properly la.

  • @munkeemoo Thanks for the tip. (:

  • @zhiheng2005 SAR-21 is a decent rifle. IAs are either like munkeemoo said, they never clean properly or they do things like rest the magzine on the floor with they prone etc. If you dont hold the rifle properly, the magzine doesnt feed the rounds into the barrel properly.

  • @glowxy What?? Magazine doesnt feed the rounds properly into the chamber??

    How can this be happening?

Singapore should try Heckler & Koch 416 !

  • @zhiheng2005 Very single weapons has their faults. SAR is still not really combat tested, as in full contacts and long run conflicts. Usually, it's the operator of the weapon whom is causing the weapon to malfunction. No matter what weapons are deployed, if the operator doesn't take care of the weapon, don't follow operation procedures and mistreat the weapon, the best will not work for him/her.

  • @ninjax105 Yah, I know. No gun is perfect

  • @ninjax105 = For me M16 is the best rifle in the world...

  • @blackwater152939 Yes, ever since my 1st ICT, I miss the M16, alot. The last time I handled the SAR 21, I made damn sure I knocked all the mags (on my helmet) before loading, (as all NSmen would have known by now) the bloody sand from the range can get anywhere... But then, at least the SAR 21 is easier to clean. Especially the gas pipe. It's shorter, the butt definitely looks bigger but bayonet fighting with M16 is so much better. With the scope, we can shoot further but...

  • Respond to this video... (continued)... but is doesn't really mean shooting better all the time. Combat zero seems like the only way I can hit all the targets. Oh, at least it has lesser moving parts. And under the hot sun, the weapon don't really heat up that fast, unlike M16, super hot after a long day under the sun!

  • @zhiheng2005 don't compare HK 416 to an SAR21, that company itself is well-known for the weapons they develop! search on the net!

  • @zhiheng2005 Hey... Don't talk like you've served and fired a weapon before. You may have seen many reports and vids on the net but without firing a 'real' weapon of war before (as we've already know you have yet to serve), you will never know the how, the why and the what of weapon systems. I noticed you have been posting about everything the SAF does. If you don't like, go and move to another country. We don't need undisciplined people like you in service.

  • @ninjax105 I fired Live Round when I was Pri 3 during ARMY Open House

    I know the feeling

  • @zhiheng2005 Look, firing a live round during open house means nothing. Even if you fired a whole mag. And so what if you know the names to all the parts? It all means nothing if you're not in and not doing all those training. Even if you are NCC trained, it's nothing. Everyone knows weapon parts nowadays so it's not amazing and you have not amazed or shocked me. We handle weapon systems every day. You know what? I'll feel you alone. Give up. Keep up that mentality and attitude...

  • @zhiheng2005 (continued)... I believe you'll have to learn the hard way, being screamed at all the time during BMT to understand why people like us, the 'lao jiao' trying to give advice. So go on, be smart and drag your entire sect down when you're in BMT. Good luck.

  • @ninjax105 Thanks for your advice, I will learn more during BMT. Just hope to be posted to 1st Commando [Final Wish only]

I know all the tough trainings and I'm ready to go though

  • @zhiheng2005 Okay okay. Maybe I'm a little too harsh against you. But seeing more and more getting injured is something that lao jiao(s) don't want to see. We went though all of it and we know how best not to get into trouble and not to get injured. Remember this: "Hero always die first". So don't be hero. If anything, don't to face to face for confrontation. Got problem, go to sect comm, PS or PC.

  • @ninjax105 Hey, I have seen a little news from Wikipedia

    Here is a quote

"ST Kinetics has taken these criticisms into consideration and had improved the SAR-21 design with the upcoming SAR 21A. The prototype was unveiled at the Singapore Airshow 2010 and production will begin in 2011"

    This were some improvements:

-The sluggish trigger pull was improved by using a stiff sliding plate in place of the flexible rod.

-The Steyr AUG styled iron sights were replaced with stockier, hardier ones.

  • @zhiheng2005 Hmmm... The entire weapon, from my point of view, all copied from many different weapons. Change here and there also no use. They should have used the stiff sliding plate instead of the flexible rod long long time ago... I think you should sign on as weapons spec, since you so good with weapons knowledge, don't waste the talent.

  • @zhiheng2005 SAR21 is already a very good rifle imho, well.. anything that can aim and kill is a good weapon to me.. lol. it all depends on the user. seeing IA in this video just plainly shows the skill and attentiveness of the user. A well maintained weapon will NEVER IA. that kid, one time IA he panic. -.-"

btw, if you are already in tekong BMT theres no way you will join CDO. either you start as a CDO or you are not.

  • @SaShiMe hi just like to correct you. All weapon no matter how well maintained, will IA, just that a well maintained weapon will have a reduce tendency to IA. Even special forces as everyone would expects them to maintain their weapon to always combat ready, they also prepare for IA situation.

  • @SaShiMe I know, just waiting for SAR-21A

    Anyways I'm only 16, 4 years to enlistment~

  • @ninjax105 Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy. - F. Scott Fitzgerald

  • @genie47 Don't we all know that line...

  • @ninjax105 I know every single part/name of each weapon part

i.e Forward Assist [which was present on the M16], Bolt, Charging Handle, buttstock, barrel, front sight, rear sight, firing pin trigger, sling and Trigger group [SE3 or SEF]

  • @zhiheng2005 Seems like I found a companion here! I've always been studying firearms and gun evolution and history since I was a child around Primary school and I'm looking forward to share some specs with some boys. I've memorized the weapon components like you and I have even wrote them down into an article.

  • @SpecJack15 Great to know that :D

  • this shootin is easy, looks like all you gotta do is keep your rifle fixed on one place and just keep pullin the trigger, U.S. Army has pop ups at different intervals of meters and different spaces apart (and more than double the amount of targets to hit)

  • @Kamakazi025 It's easy because it's done during basic training. When they are posted to their units, the range will be a whole new ball game. Pops, fire movement, the running, stopping, changing of position, jumping in and getting out of fox holes... Now I'm too old for that...

  • @soxymoron can you wait to spend the rest of your life having nightmares about the life you took? And It's easy to say now, but remember you'll need a war first, and when you see your friends screaming and writhing around in the mud next to you, "i can't wait to take down a real human" isn't going to be what you're thinking. Besides, killing doesn't come easy for most people. Just do a bit of research about it and you'll see what I mean.

  • @vonlichenstein who knows? maybe with the games kids play these days. they are pretty much immune to killing

  • @werty1091 real life killing and in-game is totally different, the trauma and aftermath you face is not virtually understandable, even police officers go through a series of going to the doc for consultations after they shot a person

  • @Gen3si4 noted. loosen up man. u sound so serious

  • the first time i "shoot my gun", i also felt excited and unnerving... hahaha

  • This video was awesome !!!

  • are there any guns for left handers? haha

  • @varkitechno Hardly. Majority of soldiers are right handed so it's quite expensive for special orders of left handed weapons. That's why left handers are trained to fire on the right hand.

  • U shoot people's target u already committed a major mistake... Imagine u and your buddy shooting same target in war against another 2 and allowing the enemy a free shot at u.

  • When I enter NS, I can't wait to hold a gun and take down a real human.

  • @soxymoron

Hate to break it to you kid, but you're not going to get any real humans to take down. All you're ever going to be aiming at are plastic man sized targets.

  • @soxymoron you truly live up to your name

  • Now they still do run down ?

  • @kyutube75 Always buddy, always... Don't you love the way the safety spec knocks you on your helmet 'lovingly' screaming and getting you to shoot the F11 and get on with it...

  • hahaha.. i miss live firing.. This BTP is quite stressful though i almost get company best shooter, sadly i miss 1 shot so ya.. so disappointed.

ATP is more stressful than BTP..

ITs a big challenge, it needs Focus and Stamina..

BUt thank God, i attain my marksman with 1st timer.. : )

  • didn't clean your rifle enough that's why IA. wahaha.

  • @Jusor1234

haha, maybe. But it was mostly the gas regulator that had to be adjusted.

  • If you want further informal trainings - go either Thailand or Indonesia.

They have a wide array of things you can practice legally with instructors to boot.

All are professionals and experts in their own fields , some are even RANGERS.

  • So good ah , start oredi use sar21.

M16 more fun. . . esp when you have bobo shooters as mates.

Spread the laugher of the Sarge.

  • I still remember my service days live range , a couple of times , we would purposely fail and go shoot again and again and again . . . and we had a huge load of fun and it was something you wont be able to do so again.

Air Rifle ? Boy - you sippin on whack or sumthing ? Thats different from live range. A mate of mine got his foot stuck in a hole and he almost literally laughed whilst he carried on and we all were serious but him. Those were the days.

  • 8 IA? zzz

  • waa live range, i had to reshoot 4 times to finally pass. Night shooting was little easier for me since can use laser

  • wwa they clean arm in bunk sia.... welfare

  • hmm... my m16 din ever jam during my 2 years of service with LIVE rounds..

  • wah.. joe poon.. last time my sispec instructor

  • wa they can clean arms in bunk 1 ar. tot canot. canot even strip gun in bunk leh.

  • what is de starting song?! i love de rhythm and de guitar strum.. do u have chords?

  • @sLeighTkiLLa im not that upset about this video i just think its funny that they think shooting is stressefull

  • @andrewduhmetroid Just so you know... ignorant twat... It's the first time theyre firing guns..There are No guns available to civies in singapore... no gun ranges to bring your 3 year olds to 'man em up' with some tommy gun. Our country is so frickin safe we don't even need to use guns to protect ourselves... If you'd had the slightest notion to look up stuff on the net you don't know shit about before posting shit about it... you wouldnt be lookin like a fool now fool.

  • Erm why does the SAR-21 jam so much?

  • @noelchan127 - because the recruits never maintain their weapons properly. it's not just SAR21. any weapon also the same.
