  • The pipe exercise is from Bak Mei. Not wing chun...

  • Is it possible. That some people. Can do 1,000 pushups

  • I'm impressed

  • wing chun is shit

  • @IRaaave it's better than anything original that ever came out of your mind :-)

  • -Shawn, I've watched your videos for months now. your entry skills suck.

  • good stuff and that is freaking awesome on how you are able to take things like that in place them into your training. NICE!

  • Many of these people obviously have not met an old master who has trained like this for decades with nothing but rewards from the training.

  • I love the pipe idea! I'm deff going to make one of those! Putting the Jow in a spray bottle sounds like a good idea but I was taught to never use plastic for a Jow container. The chemicals in the plastic will leach out into the Jow then you will be absorbing them when you apply it. I would love to see your recipe and know where it comes from! Thanks for the video, I'll be looking for more!

  • @ superdruid... fill it it with sand. make the tube slightly longer to increase the weight if you need it heavier...

  • I want to get forearms of steel/iron- I need to use the dit da jow- if I do this 1000s of times a day would a block cause such excruciating pain that my opponent will pull his arm away in piss pain! I practise Wing Chung and have a black belt in Shotokan.

  • @computermaster If they throw a kick or punch hard enough and you block it right you may even break their limb. Depending on the attack and the type of block of course.

  • Dang, those are some really cool drills! Please post more instructional videos!!!

  • dana white, please set this guy up with a fight. i want to see that unstoppable punch

  • Wow ,those 2 excercices are quite simple but damn effective !!!

That's a must do , no matter what martial arts you practice !

  • Very good video from Shawn. You should post more this kind of instructional videos. Thanks

  • The first tool definately trains punching power. Some fighters hit the bag for years and don't develop ko power. If this is added to training you will get ko power because its mostly about bone structure which this exercise develops.

  • this training makes sense

  • a little girl in a man's body

  • you suck!!!

  • Nice training, Greetings, Sifu Oliver

  • The second one looks like it develops Pak Sau actually.

  • What if you stop conditioning? Do your bones get weak again?

  • Spray on Jow! Why didn't I think of that!

  • i like the 2nd tool, but i feel like that trains more grip than punching

air punching seems like a better way to train punching then the 2nd tool because you let all the energy out in one straight line, i feel like you wouldn't be able to let out all your energy through the punch if your hand is catching something at the end of your punch. but i dont know thats just me and my great imagery haha.

    i gotta try it sometime

  • @YoungCrs I could see it as a pretty effective exercise for blocking but maybe not punching power, although it builds hand eye coordination which is good for everything

  • @newbielives no doubt

  • @YoungCrs Imagine your punches powerless until you reach the target, when you catch the pipe is the time to apply power: more info at chinaboxer channel

  • interesting tool method

  • These drills have been around for centuries. How many Kung Fu masters do you see having extreme issues in their latter years due to this training.? Not many. I will post the formula for my dit da jow shortly. Train hard; fight easy.

  • @sealthedealobasi yeah, and same cannot be said about thaiboxers. hurting those shinbones cause them pain at older age

  • @DonMega187 - Lets put this in the right context. Anybody that competes aggressively will eventually hurt themselves like football players, hockey, soccer and Muay-Thai fighters. If Obasi continues to compete regardless of amateur or pro level he will eventually suffer injury as well.

  • @DonMega187 If you do to much to fast you cause scar tissue that may never heal. The idea is slow and steady. Your not going to get rock hard over night

  • @sealthedealobasi Dont suppose you will be posting your recipe for your dit dat jow?

Good Idea with the spray bottle however you need a lot of the stuff to do that. I currently only get small bottles at a time.

  • Comment removed

  • @alphatonic But do you have a recipe on how to make it?? Thats what im looking for because yeah, your right, the small bottles do suck and i hate trying to find them when i run out. pretty expensive too

  • @sealthedealobasi Any chance on seeing that dit da jow formula?

  • I like to break it up within 2 sessions 500 in the morning and 500 before bed. It isn't easy this is an advanced regimern. 100 times a day is good enough for intermediate level. To conditions the forearm bone the wooden dummy is great for this purpose as well as a sand bag or one filled with iron pellets. This training will not destroy your nerves it will just simply allow one to sustain more pain.

  • @sealthedealobasi is there a good alternative for the iron pellets to fill up the tubes with that wouldnt make it lighter?

  • Great exercises. I've been searching for more conditioning drills.

  • feels similar to hung gar conditioning =D

  • 1,000 TIMES? I get wiped out after 10 X ! LOL! Could you share with us, how you break it out during the day (i.e 100 X, 10X/ day) ? Keep up the good work!

  • @MrKwaswas Try relaxing your arms

  • Cool training methods.

  • Do you have an exercise to condition the ulna (forearm bone on the pinky silde)

  • l have to agree with Badjinn, this will destroy his nervers, and not only the nerves...You may have your hands shakin' when you grow older...as Badjinn said :)

  • I gotta get me some Jow. I wish I knew how to make some. got any tips on how to make some basic stuff?

  • Nice!

  • Good stuff!

  • won't the iron training destroy your nerves and give you problems later on as you grow older? Just wondering

  • @Badjinn yes it will. I may not do that as a WC practictioner either as it will desensitize my sensitivity but that's just me.

  • @Badjinn It will destroy some nerves and mostly numb them. Chances are you will have problems. The bone will also become much denser and harder to break, calcium buildup. You gotta weigh the benefits and costs basically. For a fighter, this would be a benefit. Interesting fact, gladiators had twice the leg bone density than the average person in ancient times, due to physical trauma to them from training, the same thing this does.
