Well...I was kind of giving them the benifit of the doubt as not all creationists are drooling idiots. It's just kind of a shit in, shit out situation with creationists. I'm thankful for the opportunity to do just that here on YouTube. This is a unique environment here. While YouTube's usefulness extends far beyond what I've outlined, this is essentially what keeps me coming back ...and it's worth risking my meager account and a bit of my time to help preserve it.
Not only that, he has the you tube logo as wallpaper. I've reported him for trademark abuse, which is punishable by law. Creationists make it to easy to smack them across the head all to often :)
Congratulations. The next battle is against those who would use the, so called, United Nations to limit free speech through a motion to prevent criticism of Religion, in particular Islam.
I hope this increases YouTube's awareness of its perceived integrity. Inevitably, removing videos and giving bogus explanations, then reinstating them without explanation - or apology - shatters trust in its methods.
If those responsible for these decisions, so disastrous for YouTube's PR, can start focusing on the actual issue - addressing the abuse of free speech and YouTube feedback systems - perhaps they can salvage something positive from this.

In your battle (for lack of a better term) with creationists, and with PCS specifically, I've noticed something: PCS is the best thing to happen to atheists. Honestly, his videos have probably made more free thinkers than you or I combined.

Let's consider what YT had to respond to. Consider the customer base that suscribes to Tfoot's videos. For the most part they are going to be highly educated and motivated individuals. Also they will more than likely have careers and corresponding incomes that will be higher than average. And as such will have more disposable income. You hit them (YT) in the wallet, and they'll listen. Well done Tfoot! Not all of us are nearly as articulate as you and friends. Please keep'em coming.

Well...I was kind of giving them the benifit of the doubt as not all creationists are drooling idiots. It's just kind of a shit in, shit out situation with creationists. I'm also kind of thinking, since they're so fully indoctrinated with their tripe, arguing won't get anywhere. Instead, I propose that we take a more psychological ploy to deprogram them as if they were cultists. Dismantle them psychoanalytically so that they no longer have their faith to hide behind.

It's better than having a well prepared lecture fall on the deaf ears of these dip shits. After all, what we've been doing seems to only embolden them to cling to their faith like a child to a teddy bear. So differing strategies must be used in the war against ignorance to out flank them. Sorry if I sound too much like a military commander on the subject but I do see this as an "Us against them" situation in which reasoning & logic are opposed by blind ignorance & good old fashioned stupidity.

There is a rating limit, but it's controlled by cookies which are easily deleted off an unscrupulous rater's computer. This gets easier with the use of software designed to rate, delete the rating cookie, and repeat. There would have to be an automatic tracking system implemented on YouTube's part.

There are three easy ways to prevent vote bots:
1. Allow people to vote only once for each video they watch. OR allow them to vote again much later, like a day, or a week later.
Over time the second strategy might still be defeated by votebots, but only over a long period of time. To counter this, the time distance between votes for the same video by the same person, can be increased exponentially.
2. Make people write text from a picture (like when you reach the max comment limit)...

Yup... same problem for me....according to insight this video got 12000 views on the first day alone. Current view count is 7k.
Same thing has happened with potholder54s and dprjones vid.
I still think this is just a bug as all were released on about the same day.
Still strange how the views register in insight, but not on the front page.

It would be great if this kind of effort bled over into an non-virtual arena, although the stakes would certainly be proportionately higher to the importance of the fight. But really the only thing necessary to make it succeed is the confidence that it will succeed channeled into the effort.

Plus, although I do not worship any god or goddess, except my wife, I think Christians need to remake their whole image. I hope this increases YouTube's awareness of its perceived integrity. Inevitably, removing videos and giving bogus explanations, then reinstating them without explanation - or apology - shatters trust in its methods.
If those responsible for these decisions, so disastrous for YouTube's PR, can start focusing on the actual issue - addressing the abuse of free speech and YouTube feedback systems - perhaps they can salvage something positive from this.
