A most thought provoking; i thought of sening a dopy to a couple of men in prison; truley messed over by lest than hones or compantent laywer. Is " justice" to win a "conviciton" or can we vomit to "restoration"? "Lawyer" does not equate with 'Justice"; BUt the other ideas expressed are moving. We need to help our oung people to see their potential and cast them aside as litter.

can anyone PLEASE tell me what this poem is about? I think it's about different life experiences and being able to move on and look toward the future, but I could be wrong. PLEASE help me!
It's probably something a little different for everyone, but I think in essence it's about a persons life (Kunitz in this case) when they are nearer to the end of it than they are to the beginning of it. Slightly bittersweet, but with a core of hope and good memories. My take....YMMV.
