not sure if it has been asked quite yet, but what kind of bags are those?
ive been looking for a very comfortable bag that can decently hold a few lenses and a full body slr. and cant seem to find one that looks as comfy as a few i see like these.
I work at a daily national newspaper, and there are elements of paps in most media photographer's jobs all the time. We do stuff like 'doorsteps' or 'doorknocks' where you go to someone's house who doesn't want to talk and then the second the open the door you snap them long range. Same with court assignments. The thing with photojournalists is that they actually care a bit more about composition, and put some thought into it, not just firing their camera like a gun and hoping for a headshot.

@Nightshade1881 - Actually, his gear isn't that great at all. A 40D camera is under $1,000, compared to the 1DS Mk III that the real pros use. My Canon 1DS and my walking around lens is worth more than this guys entire kit. When you have to talk about how bad every other photographer is in your videos, you probably suck. Just sayin.

alright, if u r a pap, theen you have a long lense, say 600mm or 800mm, than you have 300mm 2.8, well 24-70 obviously, then just in case a 70-200, which you don't use often, because you have a 300 :-D than you have smth like MKIII Ds, cause you want a full frame to further crop the subject and you don't want the fucking noise, cause you gonna shoot in bad light, like 99%. Because of that, you will also probably need smth like 200mm 2.0. Then u have smth like 7D to make videos and use crop
@cooperativ - A full frame camera does not "further crop the subject", in fact, it does the opposite because it is WIDE angle. An APS-C camera with a 1.6 CROP sensor, like the 7D is what crops the subject better, not the 1DS Mark III.

This is great! And nice tip on the pepper spray! Very helpful. I will buy one for my protection (why? because I work for local press, and I usually encounter people who harasses). And to those other photographers, don't get insulted or whatsoever. But instead, learn from him. We (photographers) all have different workflows and different subjects to photograph. I thought I liked this guy, but then he started saying that his job is harder and more "special" and requires a different type of "skill" than a photojournalist. Photojournalists dont live in Hollywood. Photojournalists walk the hills of Pakistan with Marines dodging bullets to get ONE shot for a magazine. And real photographers dont use fast lenses? WTF im an amateur and keep a 50mm f/1.8 and most professionals have lenses faster than 2.8. He's and ignorant fuck, he pisses me off

This is great! And nice tip on the pepper spray! Very helpful. I will buy one for my protection (why? because I work for local press, and I usually encounter people who harasses). And to those other photographers, don't get insulted or whatsoever. But instead, learn from him. We (photographers) all have different workflows and different subjects to photograph. Well, these paparazzis are like war photographers. He's right, a combination of photojournalism and sports photography.

It's amazing how ignorant some people are in here. Photography doesn't have to be pretty to be professional. He is telling it like it truly is and not like your little perfect studio or shit immaculate camera. Those making negative comments are truly ignorant and show a complete lack of understanding. Way to go, genius's! Most of ya could probably NEVER get "the shot" in a few seconds like this guy routinely does everyday. Go cry in your milk and/or polish your camera.

this man is not an insult to the Pro World, he is part of it...I've read so many of your comments, and 90% of you are so foolish, having no concept of the business of photography. he is a shooter and gets money for his hard work.; irrelevant of his subject he still gets paid for "The Shot" . Something most Pros hope for everyday.

Wow! I'm blown away by how negative everyone one is here. This man makes a living shooting photos,hard ones at that.
Pretty simple, you make money, buy the glass you need, shoot the photo, buy the glass.
I'm so saddened by the way the "Auto Professionals": have just assumed the market. Everyone is a "Photographer" because of the cameras of today..It sucks,and when you post your work, it's never safe !

Didn't you pay attention to what he said? He shoots celebrities from a
distance. Unlike those other asshole photographers who like to
be up-close and start harrassing them.
Wether like 'em or hate 'em the paparazzi is what keeps the majority of celebrities on the market for projects such as TV, Film, and Music.
As long as the public continue to BUY entertainment magazines
