such devices exist already in reality, they´re called "powered exoskeletons", not as large as in SF but they enhance ppl´s strength & speed & help them survive in dangerous environment. they can be also used as prosthetics.

currently there are only prototypes, but they´ll be probably on a market within a few years. we´re not so far away from the SF world.

Another one for the strategy: The armored walkers worth nothing. The cockpit is not armored, so the guy inside is practicaly defenceless.

And another one: Why are they using manned defence units? A targeting computer should be a little bit more useful, and could spare lots of ammo.

shoddy tactics here make this scene impossible to enjoy. the machines don't have any guns, seem to hang back along the outer walls to let themselves get shot, and fly right into the Mech's limited field of fire. The humans meanwhile, lack the knowledge of what a missile is, don't have enough guns, and what's with the lack of exploding area of effect flack rounds. Seriously, a couple dozen WW2 Flack 88's could have stopped those stupid robots.

@Boxghost102 No, they would not have. There is no realistic amount of firepower that would have allowed the humans to win. The machines have them outnumbered literally 10,000 to 1. Besides, keep in mind the low rate of fire that your garden-variety 88mm Flak gun has. I bet that would really serve them well in that almost entirely close-range battle.

The infantry were the guys scuttling around with rocket launchers during the battle, not the APUs. And using .50BMG would still make no sense, particularly since they are fighting a well-armored opponent of large size for which an anti-tank caliber is much better suited.

Wearing those thigns were bad since the machines hit the suits so hard the guys inside die. Iron man has been hit by the hulk and tony stark didn't die in side and the hulk htis harder than any machine in the matrix universe.
