The paint schemes were awesome in this race. Dale Jr/MLB All-Star Budweiser, Michael Waltrip Red White and Blue Car, Rusty Wallace/Miller Lite/ Harley Davidson, Tony Stewart and Bobby Labonte Jurassic Park 3. Damn.
I was crying after Dale Jr. won this race. My favorite NASCAR moment of 2001. Plus you gotta love Allen Bestwick for calling that race, the best NASCAR commentator in my opinion.
Everyone behind Jr was racing exactly the way the pack races these days. What's different? These guys didn't crash, even when they were FOUR WIDE IN THE TURNS! Maybe today's stock car boys need the yellow line rule, but these men didn't. It's a dumb rule anyway.

well, who won the daytona 500 that year, who came in second? and who has dominated daytona and talladega for those years. i mean even in the bush series. its been jr. so its just been a dominance for a years. waltrip never won another race other than 2 500's and talladega. DEI were just re-stricter plate kings and the''ve shown it

Allen Bestwick, one of the best Nascar commentators of all-time. 6:12 to 6:22. His voice gives me goosebumps every time.
