  • there's no u pattern in the video. there's supposed to be.

  • @EasyExpertVillage I am not even going to dignify your ignorant claim with a proper response.

  • @EasyExpertVillage Que? That pattern is easy to see. Very hard to do with 5 balls, but easy to see. Keep up the good work Yomay. Many thumbs up.

  • @EasyExpertVillage First off, Sondre has one of the nicest looking mills mess patterns in the world with five. Second, what the hell would you know about what a mills mess pattern with five would look like anyway? You can barley do it with three. And third, how are you supposed to make a u pattern anyway?

  • @EasyExpertVillage

A u in the pattern is simpy a conceptual stepping stone to learning the pattern for the first time. Generally, Mills throws should always be coming down in the centre (this holds for Mills with n balls).

I think the jugglers around here would appreciate it if you asked about something you were unclear on (especially when the juggler is much more skilled than you, or I for that matter) rather than criticize blindly.

  • nice man

  • what kind of balls?

  • @danmoorects Sport Juggling Company 3 inch 185g beanbags.

  • those two guys are probaly fucking eachother now!

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh the magic of video editing.

  • I can't concentrate on 1 ball

  • I keep trying to watch 1 ball, it's fuckin' crazy... :L

  • this is legendary!

  • @KAGEJOSE Hahaha! Man, look how many views this has! I thought it had like... 2000. What's up with that?

  • what a brain!

  • i'm really impressed of that smooth performance.

  • song?

  • @Hennenmann I want to know the song too, I remember hearing the original as a kid and falling in love with it!

  • @uberscientist It's a techno version of Enya's Orinoco Flow or something like that. You'll be able to find it on that information.

  • @Hennenmann Yes, song.

  • WOOOOOW!!!!!

  • Dude sounds like it's a remix of enya. Euurggghhhhh.

  • Bravo!

  • omg this look like easy, but i cant mills mess with 4 :D

  • BACK WHEN YOU WERE SEXY!

  • that pattern looks so confusing i don't no how it works but cool

  • that pattern looks so confusing i don't no how it works but cool

  • enya remix! awesome! and juggling too it just makes it that much more awesome :D

  • you probably get asked this all the time but...what type of balls do you use?

  • @KrYp7on1t3 I'm so tired of that question that were it not for that you actually stated I probably get it all the time, I would have wanted not to answer - though I try to always answer all comments that have a question in them, so - in this video I used 3" 185g SportCo beanbags, and I think they are the best I have used - though I stopped using the 3" ones and went down to 2.75" because 3" was just too large to keep doing tricks and such with any more than 6 balls - for me at least.

  • @KrYp7on1t3 Though 7 ball endurance was easiest with the 3" balls. And 5 and 6 ball tricks was easier with them than the smaller ones.

  • sick dude. awesome juggle!

  • OMFG! How much have you been juggling, this was so insane cool!

  • Some day I want to learn cascade, mill's mess, shower, half shower, split multiplex and (6x4)* (don't know what the name is), with 5 balls - can you tell me easiest to hardest of these?? Many thanks

  • @149scrat Split multiiplex is easily the most manageable of them. Then comes cascade, half shower, (6x,4)*, shower and mills mess.

  • @Yomay okay, many thanks :)

  • @Yomay agreed :)

  • @Yomay I would've surely though 6x,4 was hardeer than the shower o.o I guess it looks more difficult than it is then, do you remomend trying to learn it after you get your 5 ball cascade and half shower semi clean?

  • @ltsjack Well, just try out different things, but as I've pointed out in a number of places; don't work on things that don't seem to be manageable at the point in question.

  • that's incredible, well done man

  • omg thats fucking crazy! i didnt know anyone could do 5b mills that long...you just made steve proud :)

  • @zeragon7 You should take a look at Thomas' Mills Mess video!!

  • I became good at 4 balls mills mess and I need pure concentration to maintain it.

btw, you are not blinking all along?!?!?!

  • Wicked. Just awesome man.

  • are you left handed?

  • @TheJugglenut No.

  • whats harder? starting the mills mess or keeping it going?

  • @TheJugglenut it depends. What entry do you want to use, and how long do you want to keep it going? And how good are you at those?

  • starting is "easy" from a reverse cascade, try a half-mess first (work on each side) and progress from that

  • is this sped up?...

  • @tortoiseanus5 Nope.

  • what is the name of the remix?

  • @rob3854 It's some kind of remix of the song "Ocorino flow" or "Sail away" by Enya.

  • just 5*

  • @rob3854 shut up

  • INCREDIBLE!!!

  • reverse cascade three times harder than mills mess? are you sure? i could do 5 ball reverse not long after cascade, and half shower. But i'm really struggling with mills. would love to see a vid of mills mess with a windmill break either side though

  • I find reverse cascade much harder, anyway. I suppose most people don't. But, windmill with 5 balls is pretty tough - I'm not sure I could do that combination anymore. I haven't been good at 5 ball Mills Mess in a while.

  • Youre incredible :)

Btw try to count his balls lol :D

  • OK people try this:

    1. Look at you computer screen from a low angle

    2. Stare at his head only.

the effect: It looks like hes just a head with 2 really thin bone arms juggling.

    Also that looks really tiring.

  • I am amazed at the speed in which the hands need to work. Talk about a hard record to beat.

  • WOW thats insane!!!

  • This is incredible! 5 Stars!!!

  • Wow! How were you able to count 608 catches without filming it? That's impressive by itself!

  • I have trouble with a reverse cascade, but I have been working on mills, and it's extremely difficult for me to get a 5 ball mills qualify (I think I've done it once, although I'm not even sure I actually got it that time.)

  • I think the reverse cascade is about thrice as hard as Mills Mess.

  • if that were true then wouldn't I be able to get more catches with mills mess than reverse cascade? My reverse falls apart after 20-40 throws but my mills falls apart before 10 throws...

Can you redo you 5 ball mills tutorial? It didn't really help me much...

  • Sure... maybe.

  • That was ace! I'm just getting the hang of three ball Mills'. I'm comfortable with the four ball fountain, but not nearly anywhere towards four ball Mills'. Can't even get a basic five ball cascade yet, so to watch you do five ball Mills' for so long and finish clean was fantastic! Good work sir.

  • dude

  • awesome!

  • which kind of balls are that? sorry cant read that below :x

  • Because you're lazy and shameless, right? I have indeed answered it in the comments below, unless you meant you simply cannot read, but why would this answer help you then?

Anyway, these are 3" 185g SportCo beanbags. They rock.

  • I like the remix of Orinoco Flow... (at least the intro is, I'm still watching the video.)

  • pffpt... i could do this stoned on crack and blindfolded. EEAASSSYYY!!

Just kidding, this is pretty amazing. Nice job! I would love to see this filmed in high speed. I am going to use my video camera to record my 3 ball Mill's Mess at 240fps. When I do, I will post the video on youtube.

  • ah come on!

    how dare you XD

  • I will learn.

    Give me a few years.

  • Great job!

how long did it take you to learn that?

I can't even do 6 catches of the 5 ball cascade.

  • It took about three and a half years.

  • Cool! :D

  • nice. i cant even do 600 cathes 5 balls alone :(

  • Any chance you could do another video like this with 4 white balls and 1 ball of another color so I could sit and stare at the pattern? That would be really helpful (at least for me), cause I'd love to learn this. So far can only do 3 ball mills mess, though. :(

... Consider it ;) Cause this is VERY clean, impressive.

  • Looks like somebody had their Wheaties.

  • Haha! What's that supposed to mean? :-P

  • It's a saying, and it basically means you did a good job. Wheaties cereal is considered the breakfast of champions. You my friend, are a juggling champion, therefore you must have had your Wheaties cereal. All I mean to say is good job Yomay : )

  • tooooo clean!

  • awesome....

  • Well, that was of course meant for the previous comment :-) but Mills Mess IS awesome, too! :-D

  • it's really hard to follow one ball with your eyes....

  • nice

  • wooohhhh !!!

  • What balls you use?

  • Sportco 3 inch 185g beanbags.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome pattern, but also very smart Idea of CLOTHING!

The stripes helps us to see the arm movement - increases the beauty

  • That's cool, I hadn't thought about it :-)

  • eh? I thought u had used it on purpose lol

o btw with so many catches... I wondered if u ever tried 6 ball mills mess?

  • I did, but you know how hard a 6 ball fountain is to a 5 ball cascade.. try to make that Mills Mess, eh? I did 600+ catches of 5 ball Mills Mess, but with 6 the most I ever did was 23.

  • hmm yea I felt that when transferring from 4 to 5 ball mm.

Well, MM is such a beautiful trick yet I don't see many ppl doing it in the WJF routines compared to the super popular (6x,4)*. You're a competitor so how does the WJF scoring scale treats a 5 ball mills mess?

  • I don't know, I didn't check the scores for the individual tricks I did.

  • nice one dude

  • Magico....!

  • amazing

  • wow you are amazing!

  • Thomas Dietz posted a video of himself doing the 5 ball mm for 10 minutes! However ... I like your pattern better Sondre, it has a great shape to it. I also love your tutorials ... im learning 4 ball mm at the moment. Keep up the great work!

  • Fy søren... du e heilt syke!!!

følge nøye med på videoene dine for å lera =)

  • Hehe, takk. Stå på alt du kan da!

  • that is amazing dude im trying to learn 3 ball mills mess

  • Beautiful

  • Hows music called?

  • It's a techno remix of Enya's "Sail Away".

  • your awsome at 5 ball mills mess (I think your beard is cooler though) xD

  • GREAT video and I love Enya too. Your pattern is perfect. Similar height to Joelle's!

I tried this trick for 20 min today and got like 2 catches. WOOHOO!! lots of bending down and exercising my lower back.

MY video of 5 ball mills has you AND some other dude and Joelle. Of course, that's more of a WJF vid.. but you ARE one of the stars. WISH i could do the trick..grr.

  • Hehe. Thanks man. Joëlle does this pattern much lower than me if you check the video again - but I'm pretty happy about this. Lower is way more exhausting anyway! So I'll keep it this height. I think it makes variations easier, too.

  • i counted 595 twice now... must be something like that^^

  • Well, I was counting the rounds and I got 200, and then about 5-6 catches, so at the very least it's 605.

  • that was awesome!

I like you´re smile in the end

  • great run, solid and perfect:)

  • Pure sweetness!

  • Very good, Sondre. And it´s low so it looks very good, too. I think you can do it longer with 5 than me with 3.

  • That is prrrrrrretty nice Sondre! Now all you need is a headbouncing vid to be the first thing to pop up when you search your vids...thanks;) BTW, nice song!

  • daaaaang! that is awesome!

  • Nice job!! I'm working on that trick too.

Those are 140 gr. sportjugglingco balls, right?

  • No, 185g. 3 inches.

  • Oh, ok. I use 140 gr. balls up to 7 balls and 115 gr. balls for 8.

  • I use the 3 inch beanbags for 3-7, but I never work on 8 or 9. If I do try 8 or 9, I'll use the same ones. Then I have some 2" 80g beanbags for 10. I only have 10 so I can't try 11 now.

  • Gotta love em.

  • very low, very fast, i like it :)

are you working on 6-ball mills mess? many of the top-jugglers seem to be practising this regularly now. ive even seen someone attempt 756 mills mess, seemed to be close to a qualifying run. and im still working on my 4-ball mills mess.... but this family of patterns definitively is amazing.

  • I've gotten 23 catches of 6 ball Mills Mess and 12 catches of 756 Mills Mess, with a clean finish. But I don't work on the 6 one very often since it's.. well, it's like working on 9 balls. It takes very many tries to get a good go, and then it will rarely last long. So it's not very rewarding.

  • oh, that sounds great :)

well, yes, of course, 6-ball mills mess is a pattern that really pushes the limits of technical juggling. but 756 on its own is already a very interesting pattern.

can you transition between 5-ball mills mess and 645 mills mess? and what about inserting short runs of 5-ball half mess or false shower? all of that seems to be very rare, and should be easier than 6-ball mills mess. im just learning 4-ball mills mess, but half mess doesnt seem to be more difficult at all

  • I can't do 645 Mills Mess, but I can go into and out of a half mess, and I can run windmill a little bit. It's way way harder than just doing the basic Mills Mess though.

  • yomay: yes, that might be true, its just, with 4 balls there doesnt seem to be any difference in difficulty between half mess and mills mess at all, so i expected this to be similar with 5. windmill seems much more difficult to me, unless you only add 2 windmill-throws after 3 mills mess throws. its just that i notice that many jugglers show 5 ball mills mess, but few do those beautiful little variations on it that are constantly being done with 3 or 4 balls.

  • Yeah, I know. Half mess is not much harder when you're doing 3 or 4, but with 5 it gets way way worse.

  • wow that was pretty cool. it even ended the same way as cj's video, that is with the gasp for air and the look like wow my arms are tired haha.nice video

  • great endurance run! Im working on a 4 balls mills mess, almost got it down.

  • awesome run. smooth and solid.

  • Never shave you sexy viking! :D

Nice run, though maybe you could pay a little more attention to your last throw on your right, with I think your left hand (in the video it's of course on the left side... I know you get it). It doesn't flow as nicely with the other throws.

Nice run but I think I got a trauma from the music...

  • Yeah, I've noticed that... the sexyness, I mean... :P Anyway, I know that throw is a bit too far out. I try to work on it, but for endurance I can't concentrate about too many things at once. This is after all better than nothing!

  • True, I can't do more than a flash of 5b mills mess :(

  • Nice recovery effort from 1:25 onto the end. Wish I could do this trick...

  • Awesome run, Sondre, very well done! :D

    All the best

    Beard

  • Epic.

  • That was amazing! What is the world record? I bet you could beat it. But the most amazing part of the video was the smile in the end. hehe :P

  • The world record by CJ Smith is 1100 catches, but Thomas Dietz did about 3600 off video I think. But 1100 is a bit much still, anyway. Perhaps in a couple years but by then the record will be way more I am sure.

  • need a shave dude:) nice run btw

  • Yeah, the run is just "by the way", while the beard is the main thing in this video. Lol.

  • omg!

  • This was fucking boring but impressive!

You grow to look more like Gatto everyday. You must realise this right?

  • Yeah, I am aware of it. Maybe I should trim my beard just like his and cut my hair shorter? I'd still be like 8 inches taller though...

  • Are you that tall or is he just that small?

  • He is a pretty tiny guy.

  • awsome run!
