  • OHIO FOR RON PAUL!! :)

  • funny they did'nt say sh*t about it on the mainstream media! Go Ron!

  • OK, Virginia, you need to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries as well as the straw poll.

  • Ron Paul in Florida: 03%

Gee, I thought by your raiding of straw polls, your flooding of text message polls, etc., meant that Ron Paul was backed by the most Republicans? I mean, what about all those debates he 'won?'

  • Well, if the media would actually cover him as they do the others, maybe the 21% in Washington would have been 50+%.

Though all those AP articles I was fortunate enough to see showed him as either not a candidate, or a crackpot.

    Peace

  • "if the media would actually cover him as they do the others"

--They gave him as much coverage as he was news-worthy. Polling at his level, they also gave little coverage to Tancredo & Hunter.

"showed him as either not a candidate, or a crackpot."

--Please provide a link to a story where they referred to him as not a candidate for the Party's nomination.

You need to put in the dots to access the link

The omission from the AP voters guide implies that he was not a candidate.

  • "The omission from the AP voters guide implies that he was not a candidate"

--Again....those are the top 3 candidates AND it was more of a headline piece than a comprehensive section. And again, where's Thompson, Hunter, etc.? And on the Dem side, where's Gravel, Kucinich, Edwards? I don't mean to defend the AP, its just the way things are.

  • They all had verbally dropped out, except possibly gravel, who I am not sure about.

Take the Washington Caucus, this past weekend. I have heard quite a bit about Huckabee, and nothing on Paul. IMO, Paul is the only chance the republicans have of winning the general election.

And yes, most people have no idea who is running for the general election except Hillary, Obama and McCain. Yes it will have an impact, it is unfortunate the media controls who we elect.

  • "IMO, Paul is the only chance...of winning the general election"

--Polling at 8% nationally (among Republicans alone), how can you substantiate that?

    "Hillary, Obama and McCain"

--I believe most voters don't know who any Republicans are, even McCain.

"the media controls who we elect"

--That's merely a lame excuse. Ever hear of 'personal responsibility?' A concept nearly dead thanks to the Liberals.

FYI: There are about 40 people on the ballot for President.

  • From the fact that he draws voters from a broad cross section of the population. Those who vote for him, have actually put thought into why he is a good choice.

A lame excuse, how do you figure. Most people I speak with have no idea who to pick for president and they go to the media to determine who to vote for.

If you are never exposed to a better choice how are you going to make the decision, of picking a Duncan Hunter, or any one else.

  • "have actually put thought into"

--If 100% of those voting for Paul are smart people, that's great. If there are only a few thousand voting for him, then he doesn't win. Numbers count when counting votes.

    "Most people I speak with"

--Again, personal responsibility dictates they turn on their brains & go find the info. Have any of them heard of the internet?

    "If you are never exposed"

--Why is it I've been exposed to this info & those you've spoken to haven't? Again, personal responsibility.

  • "The omission from the AP voters guide implies that he was not a candidate"

--Also, if you haven't noticed the amount of coverage the Republican race is only an extremely small fraction of the coverage of the Dems race. I watch a lot of news, different sources. Only FNC gives equal time to both races.

The average person on the street, I bet, has NO IDEA whatsoever who's running in the Republican race. Tell me that's not going to impact the general election...

  • IF RON PAUL WINS THE SOUTH HE WILL BE PRESIDENT, THIS IS A KNOWN FACT. He has a Strong standing in Virginia, North Carolina,Georgia, and Texas already!

  • Who is for Ron Paul? No one, but the voters.

  • Your shipment of win has arrived.

  • jesus, Ron Paul has spread like a virus.

  • Virginia and Maine let people vote at age 17 in the Primary Election if they will be 18 for the General Election.

  • I have always liked Virginia!

  • rEVOLution

  • viva Ron Paul revolution!!!

cnn and fox wont even mention the name of our man. just to show how corrupt the system have become

  • yeah. He always wins if it isn't rigged.

  • Love the banner. Can you imagine years from now, all of us will be able to take pride that we participated in something grand. We can do this if we play the game right. Oh yeah, don't forget to become a delegate or else it's all over.

  • emm.. I live in VA and I'didn't know there were happening here.... or else I would have gone to them. But Ron Paul won!!! I would've just made his percentage higher.... GO RON PAUL

  • Those polls are rigged or something. We did have a HUGE lead. This Revolution can't be stopped though.

    Ron Paul 08!!!

  • Thanks to all of the liberty lovers who voted. Very inspiring!!!

  • I'm a Ron Paul supporter but what do these Straw Polls mean?

  • they show the media that we are in the majority and that ron paul is NOT a dark horse, but actually going to win.

  • It means that, those who care the most yell loudest. Do we want to allow "special interest" use their infinite money to tell us what to think and do, or are we going to do the telling.

Virginia had some nice loud yelling in their state, I think more state's should follow suit.

  • straw polls are also an indication of how much support a candidate is able to generate "on the ground" as opposed to telephone polls which are more often influenced by the visibility of the candidate in the media. the ron paul phenomenon has obviously been released beyond the internet - let's hope the republican party takes notice. Great job at the straw poll guys!

  • Ideas are bullet proof.

    *President Paul* /08

  • Simply Awesome!

  • Revolution is right. We need to do it now before the system collapses under it's own weight! RON PAUL 2008!

  • Please email hotforwords and ask Marina to do an episode on noninterventionism. Also, please ask her to explain that noninterventionism is very different from isolationism.

  • The R[EVOL]UTION is NOW! It will not be televised. This is the YouTube Revolution.

  • REVOLUTION!!!

    fantastic.

    RP08

  • this is just the beginning!

  • Beautiful.

    Meet the future. :-)

    RP 08 FTW

  • Thanks for posting!

  • hey! I see myself in this video. this event was awesome. the crowd was electric and the Establishment was really in shock

  • Si el doctor Ron Paul no sale presidente, este pais se va a la mierda.

  • sad but true its do or die time

  • Let's just hope the elections aren't fixed,.. if they are,.. our vote won't count... (somehow I think they will be fixed).

  • wooot! RP FTW!

  • Love it. r3VOLution!! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who doesn't want to run the country. Just the executive branch of the federal government. None of the others can even see a difference. And they desperately want to run the country, i.e., you.

  • Paul didn't bus ANYONE in. Nor did his campaign send out any plans for this. In fact, I think the campaign officials on site were blown away by the mob of Ron Paul supporters--it WAS a sight to see!

Some of us who had to drive 4+ hours carpooled to save gas $. BFD!

This was all a bunch of Freedom-loving, self-organizing INDIVIDUALS from all over the state. Ignore us at your own peril. The revolution is alive and well in VA!

  • Ron Paul ..... 182 votes ..... 38 percent

    Fred Thompson .... 112 votes .... 23 percent

    Mike Huckabee .... 51 votes .... 10 percent

    Mitt Romney .... 45 votes .... 9 percent

    Rudy Giuliani .... 43 votes ... 9 percent

    John McCain .... 23 votes .... 5 percent

    Duncan Hunter .... 19 votes ... 4 percent

    Tom Tancredo ..... 4 votes .... .08 percent

    Hugh Cort .... 0 votes

    John Cox ..... 0 votes

  • how many did ron paul get ? you couldn't hear...

  • see thats the way the straw poll actully works. No corruption. Shame it doesn't make the media.

  • The theme of the event was "party unity." Ron Paul supporters must be polite and support ALL Republican candidates, and yet party officials continue to dismiss Ron Paul and his supporters. Ron Paul did not plan this. I talked to most the supporters, they came on there own. Yet Huckabee shipped in a bus fom Liberty university. His votes, of course are legitimate.

  • I read the aricle. It is just another way to discredit Dr. Paul and his real vibrant supporters.

  • propaganda. The support was there and thats all there is too it. The quote states that only of an opinion to discredit the voting process. Im sure if he takes home a primary or two there will be the same type of bashing. Numbers and votes dont lie and are not matters of opinion.

  • i was there (obviously) and it was clear that the ron paul supporters came by their own free will from all over the state, even as far as william and mary. if Tucker Watkins even said that, it was out of bitterness not truth.

  • This article enraged me too! Just put it on here to share.

  • This is great!

  • does anyone get the V for Vendetta reference on my poster?

  • I do!

  • yep!

  • There was a bus load folks: for Huckabee. 51 votes, many from Liberty University. I was there and I talked to about half the Paul supporters from all over the state. The Party doesn't get it. This is about ideology not strategy. Strategy and the disregard for core ideals is killing the party. Ron Paul will save the party and America. God Bless Ron Paul.

  • i talked with some of the students from liberty. one of them said he didn't even bother voting. he clearly didn't want to be there.

  • Virginia, state of Jefferson

  • Awesome! RON PAUL REVOLUTION!

  • lol awesome Great job

Hopefully Tancredo and Hunter get the message and drop out and quit taking time away from Ron Paul.

  • they are still diluting the war vote...

  • "There's something going on in this country and its BIG: it's really BIG!" - Ron Paul 2007

  • People Power!!!!!!!!!! Ron Paul FTW!!!

    Take that lame stream media

  • old media is dying before our eyes.

  • one could only hope. cheers to free and independent media.

  • Thanks for the video; I was lucky enough to be there today! Ron Paul Revolution!

  • Well hell yeah!!! Kick ass! OMG I LOVE VIRGINIA!!
