I can remember looking in catalogues and seeing Mario 3 going for $80 (Canadian)! I have no idea what the Canadian dollar was worth at the time, but can you imagine what that would be today if you adjusted for inflation?

This commerical aired in late 1989. I remember seeing it when I lived in Novato,CA my family didn't move to Virginia until Janaury 1990. SMB 3. was first released in November 1989 but got a re-relase in early 1990 to fix several translation issues with the text.
