  • To add: Lavina Williams with Bb5 in Got To Be Real from Australian Idol & Ledisi B5 in Chain of Fools at Divas

Great compilation, lots I had never heard before!

Just checked a high belt today and was amazed, it's a C#6! Believe it or not, it's Gwen Stefani singing Sailin' On live. Check 1:55 here: youtube.com/watch?v=VYs6M8WAc4Q Another vid of same song live has a couple of B5s and a moment where she sings 2 notes at the same time, one being a C#6. I've heard Patti do that too.

  • where is coko at in this video ?

  • Cheryl Lynn falsetto, not chest NOR head.

Madge for real? who knew? again!

    Siobhan good sustained Bb5

Naranjo does C6 sustained in Bad Girls

LaShun Pace all but 2nd were Bb5

Amber Riley sustains a C6 twice in Jump on Glee.

I don't know Diana Ross's singing enough to know if that was chest or falsetto.

Regine Velasquez. I usually count her out because I always see fanboys claiming a note is 6 semitones higher than it is, or it's falsetto. But this one was a clear B5 chest. Props.

  • Erikah Badu 1:30 sounds like she jumped up to C#6!! Highest chest note I've ever heard. Blige was Bb5 Kelly just barely made it. Celine was Bb5 Abba chick.. who knew?? Aretha Bb5 and then reaches for B5. 3rd was Bb5. 4th Bb5. 5th Bb5 (nice) Carolyn Franklin Bb5 2nd J-Hud was Bb5 and beautiful Chaka was barely Bb5 Patti's second I think was falsetto. But I have a few where she sings B5 and higher in chest. Love that old Cyndi clip. Her body was rockin like she had no control of it.
  • @BlakiepooTube I know that Abba Chick. She is Agnetha Faltskog.

  • Coko from SWV needs to be in the revised video she has hit B5 plenty of times

  • @MusicGod2008 Yes, you are correct. It's in the performance of Endow Me.

  • she great

  • i dont see a Monica Naranjo :O

  • Erykah Badu is amazing! She definitely has that very Chaka-like chest belt.

  • I wish I could belt a B5 in chest the highest I can go is A5 :(

  • @ladysasha90 you can belt A5 in chest and you are complaining lol? That's inredible. A lot of this people cannot do that by the way, but produce the effect in a strong edgy head voice

  • @okebaram Lol I know I've known gone up to Bb5, but because my head voice is so underdeveloped (I often use falsetto which I can only reach up to a Bb5). I would like to make up the rest of my range in belting.

  • YAAAAAS YOU INCLUCED DENIECE WILLIAMS *all life recieved*

  • It's just too easy for Patti, just too easy LOL. So Hyang was great as well, great tone! Ledisi gives me so much life! Sing girl! LaShun too! No one can do soprano notes in chest voice like church girls!

  • Vanessa, Erykah, Aretha, Natalie, Jennifer Hudson and BLU CANTRELL shut it down!!!

  • SIOBHAN!

  • This video sucks, Celine has more videos hitting B5, you put just one is inequitable

  • WOW. Nicole's was very solid and nice. I guess it was one of best in this movie. It wasn't yelling in head voice with no power like most of them.

  • What is the concert of the first scene about venessa amorosi?

  • LASHUN PACE!

  • @MusicEclecticArt and Lashun Pace actually does it in chest voice. These notes are in mixed voice (focused edgy head voice), everyone last one of them, but well done, except a couple of Lashun Pace's (not all) that were in chest voice -- and she went higher in the full version of some of those clips. Patti however (and maybe some of the other featured singers but not likely) have done notes that high in chest voice, and I believe I've heard Ledisi & JHud belt as high as Bb5 in chest voice

  • Some of these notes are C6.

  • Vanessa rocks!!!

  • lmao @ you including Madonna's witch-like screech here.

  • i think some of these shouldnt be included because they are aful notes. There is a difference between hitting a note and hitting it well

  • Haha, well this was certainly easy to do :P

  • Very nice video :) Next times don't drag the clips out so much however. I alaso noticed you used one of my clips :)
