Look at the film, shots with Sandman, EPIC, just like everything in SM2.  Shots with Venom, suck beyond belief. Analyzing the film now, you can see where his heart was at and it wasn't with the studios

This movie was low on CGI, Didn't have such a great story, but it was OK, some of the character's were great, other character's... eh, and some costumes were great, other costumes... eh. One other thing I notice about this, is that in the first 2 spider-man teaser's they show a small scene from the movie, and then cut to some other 1 second clips with cool music, but with this teaser, they just show a bunch of clips from the movie... with cool music...

@MrRedk23 In one comic I think Venom and SandMan teamed up, so I think Harry Should have become the second Goblin (with a better costume) in the fourth film... Although, that wouldn't make much sense why would he wait so long to fight Peter He found the Goblins Layer in the second film, and he also found out Peter is Spiderman, so maybe it just should have been Harry and Spider-man alone... But that would just be the same as the first movie they should have used a different villain and Harry

@dlumyoung09 well it was because of tensions from the studio. They persuaded Raimi to put venom in the story. Raimi was only going to have sandman and harry, but because of the studio bothering him like a little kid who wants candy, he put venom in. They were actually going to have spiderman 3 in two parts but dropped it the last minute. I enjoyed spiderman 3. I thought it was a good conclusion to peter's storyarc and solved any loose ends. For the best, this is why we have the remake.

Spiderman 3 is okay. Not as good as the first two, but still had that over the top Raimi touch that I love. Sony will regret rebooting this series just because of one underwhelming sequel. I can almost guarantee the next film will be by-the-numbers and have no personality of it's own. The only thing I'm looking forward to seeing is the Lizard.

By the way, why do people always bitch about Venom being underutilized in SM3, but have no qualms about Two-Face's glorified cameo appearance in TDK?

It was funny how he looked completely different with that Spiderman suit on. I get that Spiderman was supposed to be a geek, but Tobey was just gross.

I usually rooted for Harry in the film. Harry was so hot and I loved his personality. Kinda wish Mary-Jane had gotten together with him, instead.

It was probably darker, but it got cut to pieces because of run time pressure. Even that early you can see scenes that were cut out, even though they make perfect sense to the film. Hopefully, Sony will release the extended cut, but it's just a matter of when, and what will be in it. 2.1 by the way was an overall better movie cause of the additional character scenes and some neat fight additions.
